I see this as a tremendous challenge for Male and a win-win situation. Can't get picky with the long bus ride. Likely that most teams have made their schedules for the year by now. If they can go all the way down to Louisiana and beat a perennial power on their homefield, it speaks volumes. If they lose, it's something to build off of heading into district play and the Old Rivalry. I've always been a big fan of creating adversity through your schedule to get ready for a playoff run. Male certainly has done so in 2021. Scrimmages with Highlands and BG will show them what they have and where they need to improve. Then @St. X, Trinity, @Manual, and two out-of-state teams? Show me a team in Kentucky with a tougher slate of opponents. Love this schedule.

17 starters, and 35 seniors total coming back for Male. They will be deep, physical and fast.

According to the KHSAA site, Male will have 31 seniors returning next year. As previously mentioned, only seniors who started/really contributed this year were Bross at RB, 1 WR, a TE and a CB.

Never hurts to look ahead. Who will be the top threats to win their respective class in 2021? And let’s do ourselves a favor and pretend we live in a beautiful COVID-free world. 🤞😀

No way T scores 40+ on the Male defense. In the first game, Male gave T 19 points on two high snaps over the QB's head (TD and FG), a punt block (TD) and a safety. Male also lost two starting OL in the first quarter (one being their center) which led to the bad snaps. T is really good. If Male keeps it close going into the half, anything can happen. It might not be enough to win, but I'd expect the game to be much closer than people think.

Wes Johnson deserves some consideration for 6A Coach of the Year. Can’t help but think how bad Dunbar was before his arrival. He’s done a nice job there.
