I’m telling you this, BG is better than HC so you better get your popcorn ready. I’m going with BG in the upset.

I think in some games, margin of victory is factored in too much. Sometimes things just go bad and it kinda snowballs on a team. Perfect example is in the 2011 season for Tilghman.
Tilghman beat Fort Campbell 57-7 two games before the end of the season. I told so many people at that game that a handful of plays changed everything and I never believed we were that much better than them.
Fast forward to the 3rd round of the playoffs and Fort Campbell wins 20-17 after losing by 50. I was the only one in the stadium not surprised.
I'm not saying this is what happened in the CAL/ LCA game, but it's just something to think about. They may very well be that good.
That actually happens a lot every year, maybe not to that extreme but you see teams win in the regular season every year by a couple touchdowns and then the other team beats them in the playoffs.

To be fair, CAL also got roughed up by LCA last year and then they flipped the script on this year.
Strange things can happen, but at first glance CAL looks to be the team we thought they were going to prove to be in 2021.
CAL's run defense has been absolutely superb so far.
Through 4 games opponents have ran the ball 94 times for 108 rushing yards.
That's a per game average of 27 yards per game and a per carry average of 1.1 yards.
Generally speaking, if you want to win 3A with the traditional top teams you better start by being able to defend the run. CAL appears well equipped to do that.
That’s impressive but let’s be honest LCA is a good team but the other two teams they have played are not. I believe CAL is really good but I believe some teams especially by the end of the year will be able to compete with them.

At this point in the season I think CAL and PT may be in a class of their own. Still a lot of games to be played but i think it is those 2 and then everyone else.
That’s what everyone thought last year well about CAL anyway. I figure some other teams might have a say in that thing.

Really want to go to Monroe County sometime after seeing the True South episode this past week.
Green County wins though.
If you haven’t ever had that sliced shoulder it’s really good.

It appears in the common opponent’s that Greenwood is better but for some reason I think Logan Co. wins.

Somerset has improved after they fell off after their championship. However I don’t think they’ve improved this much Corbin 37-13.

Belfry 27-21.

I don't begrudge the pick of the Bears, but I don't see it getting this high. My guess is the clock runs and runs and the scores are in the 20's. Tiger defense is pretty good, too. Its strength on strength.
You may very well be right and I know they have pretty good defenses but they also have pretty good offenses as well.

Green Co. easily go ahead and run that clock.

Spencer Co. 35-31.

I still think Etown gets the win but I’m not near as confident as I once was.

St. Xavier
Belfry
Ryle
Lex. Catholic
Spencer Co.

Anyone who thinks BC will win easily against BG is in for a rude awakening.

I’m going with SW in a close one 28-24.

I’m sure Cal will win but if OC keeps it in single digits I think that might prove to 2A that they are for real assuming Friday’s win didn’t convince them.

Your guess is as good as mine on this one but if I had to guess I’m going Taylor 40-37.

There couldn’t have been very many tackles. I’m not sure I could watch a game like this live no defense should be that bad.

I didn't see this coming after metcalfe dismantled campbellsville. Great win. Good luck the rest of the season guys.
Is Metcalfe perhaps better than many people realize.

The way these teams give up points that Taylor/ Casey game should be wild.

You had Gregory last year and lost by 4 TD’s. Losing Gregory didn’t cause your o-line to get lit up like a Christmas tree. Losing Gregory didn’t cause your team to commit seven late hit, personal foul, and unsportsmanlike penalties. Losing Gregory didn’t cause your defense’s absolute helplessness to stop Shannon Tonge. I swear if I had a nickel for every time you E-Town people had some excuse for why they lost I could retire to the Bahamas.
It seems like we just keep seeing more and more games with numerous personal foul penalties are the refs just getting flag happy or do the coaches just not have control over their players. I think if I were a coach I would start setting examples with these players I would rather lose because I sit people then lose because they can’t keep their cool.

I wouldn’t say I’m surprised by this but after seeing the way Metcalfe handled Campbellsville last week I certainly thought Hart would win.
-
I’ve got to think this kind of opens up 2A a little as well I think everyone just assumed it would be Beechwood and LCA again. I think now this might open it up for Mayfield and maybe even Owensboro Catholic.

This is a big shocker to me.
