The Dragons lost a really good senior class and so many important pieces from this past season.

The loss of Kelson McKinney, Julian Seymour along with Linemen Kolton Milby and Carson Scott are tough spots to fill. The Dragons also lost some very solid guys at receiver and defensive back.

With all that said, the talent pool isn’t empty. The Dragons return some major pieces as well, QB Houston Hodges returns along with RB Gage Bale and Massiah Shively. The Dragons also return 3 offensive linemen and some talented freshman and sophomores who will contribute early and often this season.

Defensively the Dragons look to be undertaking a major rebuild. The Dragons lost a ton, with only 3-4 returning starters. A bunch of young guys will be expected to step in and play a ton of minutes and make a ton of tackle's.

This season could be the Dragons taking some lumps early but getting better as the year goes along. I’m not sure the Dragons are able to win the district this season, but they should be very competitive and get better every week.

Who are you expecting to be the class of the district I know Metcalfe at times has a pretty good team. Do you expect them to be the team to beat or are you thinking Monroe finally bounces back.

  2. I think Barren has had two or three great middle school teams in a row with the first group being sophomores next year and I just wonder if they think they have something really good coming and might entice a big name. I agree with y’all I think Muse could’ve probably did just as well as anyone else they might potentially bring in.

Quit this stuff silly goose. If you’re not a rooter of any of these teams quit with this passive-aggressive stuff.

I’m sorry man my previous post was probably a little harsh it just seems like that most of the posts on here act like BC can’t lose and they probably won’t but I do believe CC is a quality team very capable of winning.

Already making excuses? A team you support you feel likes going to lose? Maybe they have 56 one way players because they are in a highly populated city? Bell Co didn’t make it this far for the “one way player” excuse to come up. Highschool kids can play every snap no problem at this part of the season.

    I don’t support Bell Co.

You need to get over your pettiness concerning Hart County and just accept the fact that Hart County was better than Glasgow this year. Your backhanded compliment was easy to see through.

What are you even talking about how is talking about  CAL’s dominance of 3A which I’m sure ain’t going away have anything to do with HC . Seems like you are the one that’s being petty that you continue to talk about something on every post I make when it doesn’t even pertain to what I’m saying.

  6. Congratulations to HC on a great season. But you know what congratulations to BC for winning this game seems like the whole state was against them but they took care of business. It takes more to win a state championship then believing it’s destiny and as long as you have schools like CAL playing in 3A with a 6A roster it’s going to be hard for these type of schools to win state.

This was posted on social media from the game last night and I thought I'd share.

"I want to let y'all know what kind of people East Carter has. Bell cheerleaders took up donations in our stands for our students involved in a bad crash this week. We lost 1 of them and the other is in the hospital. It was announced on the P.A. that they would be doing so. EC school officials came and ask for the bucket to be passed on their side too and their fans helped as well. They didn't have to do that. That's what we need more of in this land. Thank you, East Carter fans and God Bless, you."

Love stories like this. I love football as much as anyone but there is more important things and it’s great when a fan base like East Carter steps up in a time of need. Great job EC.

I don't see a path to Green winning. They are not very good considering their schedule. Catholic would kill Taylor Co and Hart Co. If I was a Catholic fan I would just stay home or in a deer stand.

I wouldn’t say they ain’t a good team. They are a quality team not sure why people take shots at other teams just because they are outmatched in a game.

  9. Not sure why Hart are the sweetheart’s of this group. I understand they haven’t won anything ever and that’s why people are pulling for them but what about Union. I know they have been good for a few years but they haven’t really won anything. I don’t think they have ever won state and I’m not even sure they have ever won the region so I wonder why more people ain’t pulling for them.

  10. None, I will go to other games early in the year if my team plays on a Friday I might go to a Saturday game or on my teams bye week I might go to another game. But, after my team loses out for the season it sucks the fun out of it for me and I have no interest in watching any other however if I had to pick one it would definitely be Boyle- Corbin.

  11. Two penalties I hate are pass interference and unsportsmanlike penalties because they are always a judgement call and there’s no rhyme or reason to it. It basically depends on which ref you get and what kind of day he’s having. And I really hate when the home crowd moans the ref into making a call. Those are especially prevalent on pass interference at every level.
