They challenged themselves pretty good with this schedule I feel like.

I say the ms players will make an impact this year on this team. They have some studs. I guess a 4 or 5 winning season. They will only get better I'm guessing the next 3 after this season they will be a competitive football team.
I sure hope you are right they’ve been so bad for so long they deserve some good seasons.

I won’t write off Simon Kenton just yet. But I agree with a 9 win season. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe KHSAA is going back to cross district for the playoffs. That puts them in with Walton and Carroll. They should handle that.
2A is down this year, I can see the Tigers making it a 3-peat.
Best of luck to the Tigers this season.2A as a whole may be down but I expect LCA to still be pretty tough it will probably come down between these two again.

It seems like a lot of people are trying to put Highlands in there place. Look I agree that these 7 on 7s don’t necessarily mean that a team is going to be good or bad however beating all those teams has to be a better sign than not beating all those teams. I think if it was any of the teams we cheer for we would be happy. So let’s congratulate Highlands and get ready for the season.

Do you think LexCath is too high?
I honestly think Central will be better than all 3 of the teams ranked ahead of them but I do understand it’s hard to do this list and at the end of the day you have put someone in each slot. To answer your question I think that’s probably pretty close for Catholic.

#27 Lexington Catholic
#28 Logan County
#29 Raceland
#30 Louisville Central
Nothing against these teams because I know Raceland is a really good class A club and Logan has been pretty competitive lately but top 30 in the state seems a little high.

Preseason roster they list 40 players, including 20 seniors.
I’m assuming that’s with no freshmen listed if not they may be good this year but it ain’t looking good for the future.

Seems like a awfully tough schedule for a team that lost as much as they did.
-
This team could be pretty good in Class A in a couple years they had a really good middle school team last year. I’m not talking state title or anything but with their history an 8 or 9 win season would be incredible.

I will really be watching that Green versus Taylor game to see how both teams look. I’m assuming Metcalfe will be the main competition for Green in the district or did they lose to much to be competitive.

As many schools that are getting turf seems like the better question is who doesn’t have turf.

Obviously, as to D1 offers, getting more attention at a private school has already been proven false. He played at Larue County last year and look at the offers he has.
Kind of what I thought so is it just because he wants to play for a winning program. Or did his parents actually move to Lexington for a job opportunity.

You don't think Lexington Christian has been very good the last few years??
I was trying to make the point is the reason he’s transferring have anything to do with that fact that Larue Co. has not been good the last few seasons. Or is it just because they think he would get more attention at the private school.

Beechwood is a public school just like Mayfield.
The last private school to win 2A was CAL in 2018. (Beechwood 2020 and 21; Somerset 2019).
My mistake for some reason I always thought they were private. I guess because of their success over the years I just assumed it.

Good I’m glad to hear it I’m not a huge fan of the turf but I know it’s something the people in Greensburg can be proud of having on their field.

I will be happy if Mayfield wins because no offense to private school fans but I’m always going to pull for the public schools but unfortunately with the high that Lexington Christian and Beechwood has been on I can’t see them winning the state. And I know before anyone gets on here and acts like I’m saying those two teams haven’t been good in the past because they have but these last couple years they seem like they could beat anyone in the state not named Trinity, St X. or Male.
-
They better get started if they going to get it down for this season.

Larue Co. ain’t that where the kid transferred from.

Will this be a bounce back year for the Colts or was last year a sign of things to come.

Some would argue in the midst of the run that got it started that they could hang with Trinity but IMO Boyle has not ever and has not reached that level now. It’s the Louisville Big 3 and then the next 5 or 6 and Boyle is in that group of 5 or 6 for now. They’ve got talent but they also are replacing some key pieces. The timing of the Danville-Boyle game plays in Danville’s favor. If you want to upset Boyle play then early while they are still putting the pieces together. The LCA game last year is a great example.
Why the confidence in Danville it doesn’t appear they have been all that as of late. I mean I know it’s a rivalry game and while anything can happen I would be surprised if it did.

He was referring to your opening statement about Boyle turning into a powerhouse. To answer your question, Danville could get a win in the next 4-5 years. Could even be this season assuming Danville doesn’t cancel again. It’s a Rivalry game, a couple good breaks for Danville and a couple bad ones for Boyle and anything can happen.
Yeah I was aware of what he was talking about I was being sarcastic because I understand Boyle has been good for some time but it seems to me they might be crossing over to maybe being able to compete with the Trinity’s and St. X’s which I don’t think they have ever been to that point but I might be wrong.

Hadn’t Boyle been a state powerhouse for the last 20+ years?
That wasn’t the question, the question was when will Danville win again.
-
With Boyle turning into a state powerhouse and Danville sliding back to mediocrity when do we think Danville can win again 5 years 10 or gulp longer.

Why would you say that a Class A school playing Class A and AA schools needs work? I guess you basically want to see NCC and Campbell on there. Nothing to be gained in my opinion but that's just me. All 3 pull from the same talent pool right?
I don’t think it’s the size of the school that’s he’s talking about it’s the caliber of team. You could easily go 10-0 against this schedule and not have a very good team and just get smoked in the playoffs because you’ve not played anyone to challenge yourself.

They have to much talent year after year they are bound to put it altogether sooner or later.
