  1. Congratulations to PT. They were the better team their coach had an excellent game plan and it worked perfectly. I wish Glasgow had attempted to throw the ball more I really feel like they could’ve had some big plays against the defense PT was playing. They are not a passing team but I feel like the quarterbacks had been pretty accurate all season on the passes they had thrown. But that’s neither here nor there they had a great season 12-2 district and region champions they have nothing to hang their head about.

I was at the game but was told last years regional final game was broadcast live on this channel.

They did broadcast all the live home games last year on that channel but this year they haven’t did that. A couple days after the game it’s on there but no live broadcast to my knowledge.

I like PT to make a statement here. Young group, was struggling to meet the hype placed on them. They have found some confidence, experienced some success. This is a big opportunity for their program and first year coach.

Other than beating Cal what has changed about this team. This is still the same team it was just with a good win over a Cal team that I think have been overrated all year. I can’t say they can’t win I’m just asking is that one game what’s got everyone back on the bandwagon of a team very few thought would beat Union.

I don't agree with this. At 225 he is too small for D1 defensive line.  Possibly could be moved to outside linebacker or safety.  Also he is good north and south but lateral movement needs work. He got trapped several times by Bardstown and they ran jet first play of the game right around him for touchdown.  He is a beast of a runner, particularly when he high-knees it, a la Roger Craig.  PT better have linebackers that read and fill quickly off tackle, or its going to be a long night.

I can see him at defensive end they have smaller defensive ends than they used to plus you see a lot go in at his weight and they add 30 or 40 pounds on them and by their junior year they are pretty good. I don’t see him playing running back in college maybe he could move back to tight end that’s what Glasgow originally wanted to play him at and then Myers went down last year and they had to scrap the spread passing game and go to the wing T which fit him perfectly.

Yes he reclassified. Not really sure why because I'm sure he is getting D1 looks right now. As good as he is at FB he is a better D Lineman IMO. He dominates the game up front.

I don’t know I can see it benefiting him because he kind of made a name for himself this year so he has all of next year to build the hype and get some D1 looks. He’s been good for 2 years but I feel like his stardom took off after the injuries to Scott and Long.

The fullback for Glasgow is a man child. Think he ends up the difference maker.

He is he will around over or through you and you can’t teach 6-3 225 with nimble feet and pretty good speed. A guy on here last week I can’t remember who said all you have to do is stop number 6 but knowing what you have to do and doing it is a completely different story. And the kid is only a jr.

This is a tough game to get a read on using strength of schedule and resumes of the teams - mainly because PT has been so up and down. Strength strength of schedule overall is even. PT has two wins better than any Glasgow has. However, PT has lost 5 games to teams lower rated than Glasgow.

I assume you are talking about Cal and McCracken but I’m not convinced either of those teams were better than Bardstown or maybe even little old Russellville. But it’s neither here nor there the RPI is based on who you beat and who your opponents have beat correct, if that’s the case Glasgow’s is substantially higher than PTs so I disagree with this whole idea that they are just so much better because of the schedule they’ve played.

Cal preps has both Henderson and Hopkinsville beating Glasgow at a neutral  site.

Well I will be one of the first ones to say you can’t play this score game but just some interesting thoughts. Glasgow beat Russellville by two touchdowns and Russellville beat Logan Co who beat Hopkinsville twice. Glasgow also dominated Greenwood who beat Daviess who beat Henderson twice. So I don’t really care what Calpreps says I find that hard to believe.

I don’t know a ton about Glasgow so I will preface that, but outside of a win over Bardstown last week, who has Glasgow really played? PT is very inconsistent, they can play great against Henry County, Tennessee, then get shut out by Henderson County. But I would say PT has 100% played the tougher schedule and are more battle tested.

Glasgow has played two other teams in the semi finals as well as a team that lost in the regional last week. That seems pretty tough to me. Is there two teams left still playing that PT played. I know Mayfield but I think that’s about it. I think they were supposed to play South Warren but that didn’t happen.

  10. It seems like a lot of people are picking PT based off one game, unfortunately this team has played a whole season. PT didn’t play well at all against Henderson or Hopkinsville and I think Glasgow is better than both those teams. I keep hearing about how PT is a passing team but in the updates from the previous game it seemed like with the exception of a halfback pass most of their scores was running plays. I do expect a high scoring game and PT will score some points but the problem is they have to stop Glasgow which hasn’t been easy for any team. I expect a high scoring game with the Scotties winning 43-30.
