Tilghman, Belfry, Glasgow, Bardstown, Bell County, Taylor County...all have difficult opening games. With Class 3A seemingly more open than normal, will we know more or less about this class on Sunday morning?
Probably be more confused haha.

No football program (yet), but St. Henry now has a turf field.
Good point.

Sorry I forgot my prediction I’m going Scotties 35-14.

Glasgow should be good. They lost a couple of really good backs but at Glasgow they just reload at that position. They have several linemen back on both sides and their big fullback Stockton. Their biggest loss was probably John Carter Myers in the defensive backfield.

I think much like last season, most of these teams have a shot. CAL kind of became the favorite heading into the playoffs, and rightfully so, and we'll probably have someone do something similar this year. Still, I believe there's more than a handful who could make that trip to Lexington.
Take the Tilghman/Union game in the playoffs as an example. The game before the Tilghman/CAL game. Union had Tilghman down 20-7 at the half and 28-14 when the 4th quarter began. Tilghman reeled off 17 straight for the win, but what if that didn't happen? It very easily could have went the other way.
I only brought that up to further emphasize how very close a lot of these 3A teams are.
Now, I'd love nothing more than to take a return trip to Kroger Field, but I also realize most any of these teams could replicate what happened to us last year. So many evenly matched teams. So many close outcomes with just a bounce the other way and it's a whole different scenario for so many.
It’s just whoever gets hot at the right time.

Ryle
Highlands

Pulaski gets the win as Belfry continues to schedule with the best of them.

What kind of range does the Baker kid have.
-
The only thing with Taylor is unless something has changed they can’t throw the ball at all against Glasgow last year in the playoffs they attempted to throw a couple passes because Glasgow loaded the box and took the run away and even with a loaded box they couldn’t throw the ball as they threw two pick 6s and got waxed.
-
Both teams got off to a slow start last season but I’m going with MC in the upset.
-
I’m going with Carmel in a nail biter.

If Beechwood really was better than Trinity how crazy would that be. Has Trinity ever lost to a 2A club. By the way I’m not saying they are just saying if that was the case how insane would that be.
-
If Bardstown can’t win this game they are not a contender for state.
-
I think Beechwood’s offense starts out a little sluggish but they still win by 3 touchdowns.
-
I was a little afraid of this they lost everything last year and only show 17 players on the roster on the KHSAA site not sure if that is accurate.

Nope just tried if hereing how Ryle is going to win or be the top team in their district and they can't even score on Highlands and they scrimmage teams like BC and Holy Cross. Not this year friend!
I could care less I’m not a Ryle fan but I wouldn’t base one scrimmage off how good or bad a team is because no one knows who they played as far as players or what kind of game plan they called but you do what you want.

Ryle isn't even the best team in Boone County or Union!
Apparently you are a fan of a rival team because you seem fixated on talking about how bad Ryle is instead of positive things about high school football.

Varsity was held scoreless.
This is a opinion thread and my opinion is Ryle is the best of that group I’m sorry if you disagree but this is MY opinion.

From the scrimmage thread:
Varsity/JV Final was 21-13 Highlands. Notice how I said Varsity/JV. Highlands Varsity Won a Simulated game 14-0. Don’t even try. Highlands is a much different Animal this year. Not even the same team.
That doesn’t seem dominant to me I just think out of the five options that Ryle will end up being the best team.

Congratulations WC I’m so glad that awful streak is dead. Now who’s the next longest current streak and when might they get a win.
