  1. I haven't seen Ockerman, but based on last year I think St. Pius and Highlands will have something to say about this as well. Assuming you are talking about boys here.
  2. 10-2 since the Cov Cath loss is pretty solid, but I get what you are saying. If true, I hope it continues to take a downward spiral, at least for another night!
  3. I feel the first game was not/cannot be used to predict how Cooper will handle Sisson. BOTH teams are better. Both teams have been tested since and both teams I'm sure, have added new wrinkles to their offensive and defensive strategies. Also, the first game this year was without Sam Vinson for Highlands, and anyone who has watched them enough knows how valuable he is for starting the Bluebird offense. If Highlands can limit turnovers, get the ball inside, and be patient then we may have an upset tonight!
  4. Fact! His defense on Jefferson in the second half definitely changed the game.
  5. Wooster is one of the schools after Ben. I know he visited them last weekend.
  6. Can’t go wrong with Harding or Sisson. Ben Sisson has grown more than any player I have seen in his years at Highlands. From bit player in middle school to conference player of the year! Some college somewhere is going to get a steal! Great kid, great teammate, and as competitive a player as I have seen. Congrats Mr. Sisson! Looking forward to seeing you in regionals this year!
  7. It wasn't quite 25, more like 10, but I get your point. And no, they haven't forgotten. The runner up trophy is at EVERY 8th grade Bluebird practice in case any players do not remember!
  8. I know they have lost to Campbell County twice, once in the regular season and once in their own Christmas tournament, and lost once to Twenhofel, not sure of any other losses.
  9. Yes, won big VERY early in the Campbell County tournament and then by 4 at Ballyshannon in December. Both teams have improved. Should be a great game.
  10. 8th final Ballyshannon vs Highlands 3rd meeting of the year. Should be a great one at the “neutral” site of Ballyshannon.
  11. 8th Highlands over Conner 59-42. Play the winner of Ballyshannon and Twenhofel Saturday in the final.
  12. Brcatz, I agree with your assessment of the Woodland game yesterday. I believe they forgot the game was 4 quarters, kind of mailed it in after 3. Also, the technical... You CANNOT get a technical when the other team is making a run! Especially after a shooting foul resulting in 4 straight free throws and the ball when you are only up 3. Woodland's coach melted down and I think the players followed his lead. Unfortunate, another Woodland/Highlands game tonight would have been fun!
  13. I fully expect Twenhofel to give Ballyshannon a good game and wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled the upset. And yes, the tall blonde kid, sorry don’t know his name, is in a boot and didn’t play last night and not sure going forward.
  14. 8th Twenhofel over Ockerman by 10. Highlands wins big over Gray. Ballyshannon over Campbell by 13ish. Semifinals tomorrow Conner vs Highlands Twenhofel vs Ballyshannon
  15. 8th Conner comes from double digits down to beat Woodland 36-30. Conner gets the winner of Highlands/Gray.
  16. 8th Highlands boys big over Grant County. 8th Gray over Holmes by 1.
  17. Predictions? 6th Campbell 7th St Pius 8th Highlands Games should be competitive and some upsets would not be surprising.
  18. Highlands 8th and 7th defeated Campbell County at highlands last night. The 8th grade finishes undefeated at 20-0 and the 7th 19-1 in the regular season middle school league.
  19. #1 seeds??? 6th Campbell 7th St Pius 8th Highlands Predictions, please tell me if I am off based. Some grades I am sure of, others guessing.
  20. Highlands 7th/8th both win over Holmes. 8th grade Birds undefeated still in region, very hard working and talented team.
  21. Highlands 7th/8th both with double digits wins at Summit View.
  22. Highlands 8th by 7 over Woodland. Good game. Highlands up between 6-12 most of the second half. Two well coached teams that play hard. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this match up again in the regional tournament.
  23. Highlands at Woodland tonight. Should be highly energetic games. 8th and 6th have flipped game times so... 8th at 5:00 7th at 6:00 6th at 7:00
  24. Highlands played without their starting backcourt, PG Vinson and SG Leigh, 20+ pts per game. Idk if both of them change the outcome but the birds are much different when they are on the floor.
