All of Assumption's out of state games makes their RPI fraudulent. Taylor County certainly a very good team!!

No doubt, with an AMAZING freshmen just named Gatorade Player of the Year.

Mild, in my opinion. If I had been seeding all 16 teams, NDA would have been 4 or 5 and Taylor County would have been 6 or 7.

Notre Dame 4/21 for three today.

Freddy D can be really hard to play, and credit to them, they were today.

I happen to be a fan of how Ohio does it within each class. The 16 teams would gather, they are seeded 1-16 (could use Jason's model, or whatever else people decide on), and they take turns placing themselves onto a blank bracket, starting with the 1st seed. The 16th seed would simply go on whichever line was blank at the end, likely opposite the 1st seed, unless someone else thought they matched up particularly well with them.

No doubt, made shots, didn't let Rupp make them nervous, great showing against an over-matched opponent. Happy for the Wagner senior to get to set the record, a well-earned moment for that young lady.

They will see GREAT defensive teams in every game in front of them. They definitely won't shoot like that again. They will have to win with defense-first, which at least on Friday, they are capable of doing.

Notre Dame has struggled to score all year, but Pikeville was the "defense" that allowed them a million wide open jumpers. NDA will have to lock in next round, it won't be a laugher, and Taylor County will be all you want, assuming they win tonight.

Freddy D is capable of turning you and making things hard. Freddy D is capable of making things very easy for their competition. Freddy D's best, if Assumption is less than their best, is enough to make Friday interesting.

Fun season for Calloway County, but they were not tested enough, sans Cooper, to be ready for Ashlinn James & Company.

Absolutely yes. Will they? We shall see. But yes, they have more than enough to do the job.

I attended their first game, at Thomas More, and nothing would make me more surprised than NDA winning a rematch. It felt like a horrific match-up for the Pandas, but the beauty of March, I suppose, is that anything is possible.

I've been on Assumption since November, I think they have the best player, a GREAT PG, and a terrific coach. GRC is deeper and probably overall more talented, but I will stick with the one who brought me. Yes....Assumption over GRC in the finals. Ashlinn James as MVP. What the heck.

I think this quote from Browning, Conner's coach, from LinkNky.com, explains perfectly the challenge with trying to slow CovCath down and milk the tempo: “That was our goal. That was our plan,” Browning said. “We didn’t do a very good job of that. Our plan was to get it across half court and run some stuff and try to make them guard. They sped us up. Our guys fed into that a little bit, unfortunately we didn’t really execute well enough in that aspect of our planning.”

I agree with this 100%, but the challenge is you can't fall behind. If CovCath blitzes them in the first four minutes, Ryle won't be able to go this route. However, if Ryle is tied / leading after the first quarter, I could see them become VERY deliberate in the 2nd quarter to ensure they get to the 2nd half in the game. If CovCath gets into transition, and pushes tempo, Ryle has ZERO chance at keeping up. Only way Ryle is in the game is if this game hovers around the 50's and 60's.

Assumption and GRC, for me, are 1A and 1B. I expect Notre Dame and Simon Kenton to join them in the semis.

My gut says the opposite.
