  1. I'd say Scott County would be a lot closer to winning the championship than East Carter would be to even making the tournament.
  2. One particular group who disagrees and have made their presence quite known on social media.
  3. East Carter's Montana Fouts named Miss Softball this morning.
  4. Would be nice if East Carter had a solid #2 pitcher behind Fouts like Scott County has Southard behind Kennedy Sullivan.
  5. Yeah. Their schedule was a bid of a dud compared to other top contenders. I was expecting a who's who schedule this year but all it has been is a couple of decent teams and a 16th region round robin.
  6. If you look at the Scott County fans on Twitter, they seem to feel that she's a bit overrated. Guess they forgot that she struck out seven of their first nine batters in a rain shortened game last year.
  7. Scott County and Male were on last year's schedule. Both teams were in Grayson but wiped out because of weather. Hurricane was nationally ranked and they also played Moniteau PA, who lost only one game last year.
  8. There should be several more trophies in that case but you know, silly district draws.
  9. Never said they weren't good teams, they definitely were, but just because a team lost in the finals or semifinals does not automatically make them the 2nd, 3rd or 4th best team in the state.
  10. Campbell County avoided Greenup, McCracken, West Jessamine and lost to St.X's #3 pitcher. As far as Scott goes, which D1 pitchers did they face? I seen where they faced one that's at Kentucky Wesleyan and one plays at Wabash Valley. Might want to get facts straight before trying to prove someone wrong.
  11. In 2016, they were one the weakest side of the bracket. Ten teams in that field could have beaten CC. Same way with Scott. Benefited from playing easier matchups.
  12. So I guess the scorekeeper couldn't do anything to preserve an earned run like they have several times in the past couple of years.
  13. I'm just curious as to how Warren East's run was scored?
  14. You'd be right on. I've watched several of their games last year and runs that should have been earned were scored unearned. The error in question was when Fouts went to field a hit. Fouts stretched out to field the ball and it "tipped" her glove. I guess scorekeepers assume that when a ball touches the glove and wasn't fielded, it's automatically an error, well at least in the eyes of the East Carter scorekeeper. So all of those remarkable diving attempts that carom off of gloves should be changed from hits to errors.
  15. Forgot the hit at the beginning but the HOME scorekeeper called it an error. Everyone else says hit.
  16. Ouch. Wonder if any other district in the state can claim that?
  17. Winner of Augusta-St.Pat going to lose 20-30 zip in back to back games.
  18. I hope that this isn't an every year thing. This clearly looks like a setup to teams playing near another school. I would want to see Holmes travel to Western Hills or Mercer County come to Falmouth to play Pendleton every so often. Not the same setup, every single year.
