It has been little talk about possible candidates. Some names that keep popping up outside of the Mabrey's staff are...... Richard Gatewood, Ellis Myles. Big question..... Does Larry Kihnley want the job?

Coach KC Goodin's (Louisville Butler) name has been mentioned for this job. He has family ties in Taylor County. This job will spark a lot of interest from around the state.

Fairdale defeated Valley last night to secure the #1 seed in the 21st district (PRP, Valley, Holy Cross, Beth Haven).

After being down 4 at half time the Bulldogs come back and defeat Western 76-64. The Bulldogs out scored Western 20-8 in the 3rd quarter. Big night for Jacobi Dixon 19pts. and 9 Reb. Fairdale had 4 players in double figures. Moore 13 pts., Bertrand 13 pts., Parker 13 pts.

Along with no Markelo Sullivan (Fairdale). Was top ten scoring in state all year. Top three for several weeks. Went on to make KY-IN All Star Team and was leading scorer for both games. Very interesting........

It was reported on Twitter yesterday by @KYHIGHSCHOOL'S that Hopkinsville Coach Tim Haworth will be named Male's coach sometime this week. Time will tell........ If so does Coach Danny Edelen remain on staff?

Bryan O'Neil from Waggener is the last name mentioned? Doesn't he have a kid at Barrett, who played for Coach Edelen?

We are supposed to be a basketball rich state with a lot of HS tradition. Coach Boo Brewer tweeted about his disappointment of kids not showing up. At lease have the accountability to give those needed notice. It is something about representing your state and your HS you graduate from. There have been many past alum of this game tweet about the importance of this game and what it meant to them. I hate for kids to miss out on an opportunity, that they may later look back and regret not participating. You only have one HS career and to be a kid. We wonder why Indiana and Ohio continue to beat us in these all star games? Also note the number of D 1 scholarships that the kids from OH and IN are receiving who play in these all star games. Just my opinion and perspective.

There has to be more emphasis of the importance of this game. I also think that high school coaches can do a better job of promoting this event with their players. This can be done by educating their players of the importance and history of the KY-IN All Star Game. Many coaches make sure that their player/s get to where they need to be, even if that means the coach transporting them.

This one has been very quiet......... I would think a coach should be named soon. Summer schedules are being made along with spring workouts starting. This could get interesting, and possibly cause some other moves in Louisville.

Coach Schooler was interested in Male the last time the job was open, before Coach Feldhaus was hired. There was young talent at FC then also.

Fairdale Bulldogs are playing in Sarasota, Florida this week, at the Sun Coast Classic. The tournament runs Dec. 28th-30th.
