St Henry wins Sweet 16 match 3-0 over North Oldham

Boys Basketball=Rupp Arena (UK) Girls Basketball=BB&T Arena (NKU) Football=Kroger Field (UK) Baseball=Whitaker Bank Park=Minor League Baseball Soccer (both), volleyball and softball are all played at high schools around the Commonwealth. All I am saying is that as good as these athletes are to make it to the State Tournament, regardless of the sport, should have the opportunity to play once at the collegiate stage...no more and no less.

just curious who the #103 team is? I think that Volleyball Tournament could/should be held either at Rupp or at the Yum Center but not at a high school. No Assumption has way too much firepower and even Mercy can't compete.

It is not my team and I agree with you that 9th Region is stacked head to toe in all athletics...may not be another Region in the Commonwealth as tough. That being said...St Henry and Campbell have earned the right and I just felt that your original post was not objective but rather personal towards their ability. I encourage open and vigorously debated topics but wanted to just step in and say that St Henry and Campbell are competitive and competent teams. Thanks you for your posts and let’s hope one of these teams win and go deep into the tournament.

Campbell County doesn't have the run game of last year...didn't matter against CCH but this year CC is more one dimensional but pressure can force issues with anyone. I see CCH sitting starters early and winning by 21 with a 35-14 score.

Campbell County is where the KHSAA placed them. Campbell County doesn't deserve to be criticized due to your jealousy or disdain. Campbell County does not have a "homerun hitter" or major D1 star like Dixie, Notre Dame, Cooper, Ryle, and Holy Cross. Campbell County has something called team or heart. Every team aforementioned is Top 25 in the KVCA and defeated most other teams in the Ohio and Kentucky region. St Henry is stacked and should make the Elite 8 but will have to play perfect volleyball to reach the Final 4. Campbell County matches up well with Central Hardin so don't count them out...Goliath over looked his opponent and look what happened.

Campbell County wins the 10th Region and returns to the state tournament for the first time in 5 years while St Henry clinched their second consecutive 9th Region championship. #5 St Henry faces another powerhouse #10 North Oldham and Campbell County faces #19 Central Hardin. Who wins and why?

Hard fought and well played game by both teams. Campbell has more overall talent especially at the middle hitter position. Harrison Co needs to strengthen their schedule as this will help them with a deeper push towards a 10th Region title. Campbell faces Central Hardin in the Sweet 16 and could very easily surprise teams.

NDA won meeting vs SHDHS earlier and expect the same at regional finals

Why is it that SK boasts up here but can’t beat any powerhouses to the south? Trinity, Lafayette, Butler, Scott County....and let’s not forget 2014 thumping by Dixie Heights. SK is a good team but like the Bengals can’t win the games when they matter.

Of course...coming from a Steelers fan...seriously though enough on Marksberry as he has never been the poster for sportsmanship....like saying Tomlin is the poster of sportsmanship in the NFL.

Harrison has a weak schedule. Campbell lost 2-1 at Harrison with injuries. Campbell lost to Harrison last year during the regular season and defeated Harrison 3-0 in 10th Region. With Campbell having home court advantage and all starters are now healthy I see Campbell taking 10th Region and going back to the state tournament for the first time since 2013.

Cru wins in 4 over NDA. Not the same Panda team as in years past and St Henry is better on serve/receive and passing than NDA. St Henry wins.

NDA struggled beating Dixie in 5 and not to take away from a Dixie team that is ranked #25 in state but this should not have been as close as it was. St Henry looks like the team to beat again this year in the 9th region. This region is stacked with good teams and players, but I don't feel that Cooper is deep enough outside of Morgan Kelly, Dixie is a dark horse and Ryle is too young and inexperienced.

Friday will be a real test for the young Montgomery team as they face Campbell County, but at least it is at Montgomery County. Although I don't feel they can beat Campbell, but lets hope the girls play hard and as a team.
