Ok but to the main topic: In your opinion, should high school numbers be retired?

0 and 00. 1-5, 10-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45, 50-55. Should numbers in high school be retired?

Yes. Mostly because there are only 38 basketball numbers you can wear, while there are 101 football/baseball numbers.

Are their any schools with High School numbers that have been permantly retired? Meaning they can never be worn again? Also what is your opinion on high school numbers being retired?

I think if you want the KHSAA State Tournament to one champion, then you better be glad the All A State is a thing. It saved the Sweet 16. Also it is accurately termed as: All ‘A’ Statewide Basketball Tournament

Jayden Steward, Jalen Lofton, and Caleb Boyd are no longer on the team. Dalton Perkins’ dad has been fired as 7th grade boys basketball coach due to his incident with Coach Miller after the Lewis County game. Coach Miller remains on the staff.

Paintsville in the 90’s lost the All A State but won the Sweet 16.

Buddy Biggs was regional runner up 4 times at Ashland. That’s more than sniffing that’s knocking on the door. However those weren’t in his last couple seasons at Ashland.

I knew Lofton didn’t play, was hoping to get someone to explain why.

We were talking about this last year. IMO he is the 2nd best coach in the region. However some of the discipline is lacking, which is not entirely on Biggs.

The All A was started when the football classes were 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A. Soooo

Did Lofton play?

IMO: 1. State Championship 2. All A “Statewide” Championship 3. Region Championship 4. District Championship To me that is the importance of the All A and I’m sure many schools will agree with me. Not sure why there is so much distaste for this tournament.

Let’s try to keep this on topic of the 2A. Is the success level of schools with 500-1000 kid schools that the need to start their own tournament fro recognition? There would be 66 schools in this. At around 4 teams per region with and right now only 40/66 have committed.

One of the Mason parents went after a Mason assistant coach after the game. Had to physically taken down by Lewis County’s AD. Not getting into specific names.
