  1. I am talking HISTORICALY. It has almost always been Mason 1, Bracken 2, Augusta 3, St Pat 4! It also happend when Bracken drew Mason County when the had Darius Miller, when Bracken had a pretty good team.
  2. Bracken County has ALWAYS voted to seed the 39th district which they joined in 2006. It's just now being brought up because of how bad they have been screwed this season, first basketball, and even worse in baseball. So are you also in favor of using a blind draw of the NCAA tournament and participation trophies?
  3. If they want to do something really big this is the year!
  4. Fun Fact: Buddy Biggs graduated from Covington Catholic.
  5. And the kids from Bracken County will tell their kids how bad they got screwed out of region. Will the Augusta kids include the part of how bad the got beat in the district and region?
  6. If the district is seeded and the #4 seed beats the #1 or more commonly the #3 beats the #2 then by all means they deserve it.
  7. The SECOND best team should avoid MC. Historically which has been Bracken except for Augusta's once in a lifetime run where Augusta and Mason should have both been in region in 12, 13, 14. *Added: The first and second team should play in the finals and go to region period!!
  8. In 11 seasons here's who drew Mason County: Bracken County 4, Saint Pat 4, Augusta 3. Was just disagreeing with the argument that Bracken County benefits from the draw more than anybody as stated by @Brackengrad95 And the draw has screwed Bracken County even worse on the baseball side of things.
  9. The current 39th district was set in 2006. Here are the times Bracken and Mason County have drawn each other: Basketball: 2006, 2007, 2011, 2016 Baseball: 2007, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2015(was later seeded), 2016 Your argument that Bracken County benefits from the draw more than anyone seems to be missing some good ol' fashion logic and common sense.
  10. I don't think anybody is in envy of Augusta baseball. Augusta better ask St Pat for some prayers these next couple games. If Augusta draws Harrison County Mac Whitaker will show no mercy.
  11. I'm sure the Augusta faithfully will be smiling wide these next two games.
  12. Outstanding athlete. Great at baseball and basketball. And from what I heard could be just as good in football.
  13. These are just the varsity games that will be played at the Fieldhouse. JV games will be going on at the same time in the downtown gym June 3rd 10:00 Lexington Catholic/Bracken County 11:00 Lexington Catholic/Campbell County 12:00 Bracken County/Montgomery County 1:00 Fleming County/Campbell County 2:00 Fleming County/Montgomery County 3:00 Mason County/Pendleton County 4:00 Bracken County/Boyd County 5:00 Mason County/Lewis County 6:00 Pendleton County/Lewis County June 4th 10:00 Campbell County/Bracken County 11:00 Mason County/Fleming County 12:00 Campbell County/Ashland 1:00 Fleming County/Pendleton County 2:00 Mason County/Ashland 3:00 Bracken County/Pendleton County 4:00 Mason County/Highlands 5:00 Highlands/Bracken County
  14. Isn't stepping off the base and showing all the players and fans that the other team is so awful that you have to give away outs just as embarrassing as 35-0 score?
  15. What do you think will happen to Augusta in region...
  16. Will Garrison have to take special classes at CovCath or something of the sort because he is not Catholic? I know usually the tuition is higher for kids who are not Catholic.
  17. THIS. If they really put forth the effort, being a #2 seed in a 4 team district with 3 class A schools isn't an impossible goal. (Coach Taylor is the guy who I believe will that on the boys basketball side)
  18. He'll get to play against Kentucky in an exhibition game! Congratulation to Connor.
  19. The only thing that draws money at Augusta is boys basketball. Now that they are back to being same old lower tier of the region you know there will be a lot less at games. A home game at Bracken against Mason, Pendleton, Brossart, Paris etc, will still draw a big crowd. Bracken County has their extra money from hosting district/Class A region. I don't think Augusta realizes they can't live off their region money forever. Bracken is fine financially, Augusta is... well.
  20. Augusta's athletic director Robin Kel... I mean Rebeca Arnold said they are are big on tradition, and won't seed because the 39th has always drawn. But traditionally doesn't Bracken County play Augusta twice a year? Sort of contradicting his argument there.
  21. Maybe they were doing a favor for Bracken/Mason :lol2:
  22. I mean it's not like Pig has people banging down the door for offers..
  23. I don't think Augusta realizes how big of a hit the are taking by not playing Bracken County at home. Augusta's gym holds 500, charging $3-$5 a ticket making about that's around $2,000. Not to mention how much money was made at halftime by Perry Poe's cake auction. Bracken County will survive without Augusta. With money the 15% stake they had in hosting region and district. Not mention the money they make at the gate from other sports. A Shoot For A Cure game against Mason, Pendleton, Campbell etc. would still draw a big crowd. And it doesn't look like George Clooney is giving back to them any time soon.
  24. Someone answer this question: What good does it do for Augusta/St Pat to go to the region for baseball?
