Even game first half. Dunbar scored in the 6th and 10th minute of second half. Confidence booster for the 'Stangs.

Tanner's third goal was nullified by an offsides penalty which would have made it 4-1. Always good to see Mustang in the house!

Great to hear this. Good example for all young athletes to emulate.

Final down at Pendrey. Two in a row for the Stangs. Paul Laurence Dunbar up next for the youngins.

Finally get a W! All A match at Pendrey.

How are the walking tacos tonight?

Brossart's Horsepower Club--the football boosters--knows how to do it. What a great idea.

Bob Miller Stadium. Brossart's home.

I agree with you brotha....it was flashing orange in the same spot 300 light years away. I guess its better to be safe than sorry. What I really think was occurring was, the refs were Ryle graduates and trying to put an abrupt end to the furious comeback the 'Stangs were about to administer.

0-0 at half. Ryle put 2 on the board fairly quickly to start the second half and then the refs delayed the game due to heat lightning and it was never finished. 'Stangs look to get into the W column against Holy Cross on Thursday, Paris on Saturday and Beechwood next Tuesday.

Gosh, I wonder if the video shows evidence that Brossart made more PK's than Campbell.

Went to penalty kicks after two 5 minute overtimes. Calvary was hungry and wanted the W. Good group of classy kids at Calvary. Brossart had opportunities and shots at end of regular time but could not finish. The Stangs will need to regroup quickly as they host Highlands on Thursday evening.

Play tonight at Calvary at 5pm. Any thoughts?

Brossart is just young. They'll figure it out.

Agree with ALBORC. Looked like Brossart lost some gas after the Crusaders first goal. Cru had no answers for Brossart's speed up front but controlled the middle of the field in the second half not allowing any run outs. Stangs finally got a break away with seconds winding down and took a shot that would have tied the game. Congrats to St.Henrys; they turned it around with great team work and passing. Experienced team no doubt. Stangs continuing to get better.

Hey you never know...that's why they play 'em. 'Stangs are getting better each game. I hope you're wrong. Haha.

Difficult schedule continues for the 'Stangs

Yes, Brossart started last week. I agree, it's very early for a retreat. It is under a new format where the retreat is during the week versus the weekend.

Brossart seniors are on retreat this week so the young guns had to take on a formidable opponent in the Covcath Cup. Did what they could but are learning and getting better. Play St. Henry's on Saturday evening.

There are no coaches at Brossart that actively recruit players from other same-season sports. Now I do hear parents say stuff to kids about coming to a certain sport but who doesn't do that?

Are you counting the sophomores-to-be this fall in your total count? There are some really talented sophomores-to-be and don't forget, this group won the Freshman Regional last season. Many will see varsity action this season in my opinion.

Agree. I saw the same stuff. Watching the kid come in for the East and try to throw a football was brutal and not fair to the kid at all. But it was a great night and the game became really exciting in the 4th quarter so it was worth it. This all-star game generated tons of interest and seems to have garnered its swag back due to the awesome sponsorships and promoters. Well put together !

Agree with this 100%.

hahaha. good times.

Nope. I ain't giving away our strategies.
