Ummm... this is a football thread... so... football.. lol

I get it... but I've been around football for a long time and coached for 18 years... scrimmage here in NKY usually goes as a live game 1st half and 2nd half is for your practice plays, 2nds, etc... with that being said, my point is that this ranking system can't be correct. Need some refining as Lloyd Walton game is a good example.

From what I heard it was pretty much 1 way... I'd also say high school football is a far cry from NFL. Lol

Not quite sure how Lloyd is number 8 and Walton Verona not even on top 10... Walton Verona beat Lloyd 21-0 in preseason scrimmage before putting in 2nds.

Should be a good match up. I know Walton had some players out for LCA game. Looks like size vs speed in this matchup. Hope to see a good game!

2 of the starting backs went down 2nd half early for Walton. Both defense starters as well. Lots of freshman and sophomore players in 2nd half.

Lloyd scrimmages Walton next week don't they?

I talked to a few Walton folks last night and they report 8 returning offensive players and 7 defensive. Looks like NCC, Lloyd and Walton all have similar returning numbers. It will be up to the talent and coaching to see who comes out with the best record this year.

True, but not a lot of competition there at all from what I see. I think owen co. Was the closest comp for Walton last year in which they won 61-0 ... I could be wrong on the score but I know I'm close on those numbers.

That's what I was looking for! Lol... looks pretty solid. Lots of returning skill players and veteran lines should be tough to beat.

Lol... I'm asking what does New Cath have that is a weapon? Running, passing, defense??? Curious as I don't know much about new cath this year.

I say Walton looks to be the favorite. The seniors of this group have been very successful. With the addition of a couple junior starters on both sides of the ball, I see this Walton team to be hard to beat.
