  1. No one said they didn't have a chance against McCracken, many picked them to win. But not many will give you a chance against Male. I think your defense will keep you in it, but you'll need a heck of a lot more than 10 points to beat Male. Bruins have nothing to lose, already a great season.
  2. Running clock? Very unlikely.
  3. That's fair. Until they prove they can beat someone like Central Hardin in the playoffs, there's no reason to predict any farther.
  4. Whoever was hollering should be banned from the pressbox. On the college level, there are strict rules about "cheering" in the pressbox. If you want to scream at the refs, do it from the stands. I realize high school is different, but the pressbox should be limited to those working and those who can control their emotions. This guy has no business there, but if the school administration allows it, then the issue is with them. KHSAA may not have rules against such behavior, but it should. That's a terrible example to set for the youngsters.
  5. Compare scores against Tilghman and it's a no-doubt Mayfield win. But I'll say it goes down to the wire for the third straight year: McCracken 27-24.
  6. Nice job by McCracken's offense, highlighted by a 35-point second quarter that included two touchdowns in the final 2.1 seconds of the first half! Zy'Aire Hughes had a big game with over 200 yards rushing, and Cash Jones had four TD passes. Downside was three second half turnovers and double-digit penalties. Overall, though, the team looked improved over last week.
  7. I can't see McCracken playing any worse on offense than they did against Tilghman. There is just too much talent there. The Mustangs defense was actually pretty decent against PT, they were just on the field too long. I'll say the Mustangs regain their mojo, make the right adjustments this week and win 31-14.
  8. Tilghman played a solid, mostly mistake-free, disciplined game. Dunigan looked like the senior quarterback he is. He was very elusive, twice turning possible sacks into gains. Tilghman was clearly better than McCracken, but really was about as expected. No surprises. McCracken? The Mustangs looked out of synch all night, misfiring on offense and committing too many penalties. They seemed to go to Hughes too much, as he had a few nice runs but also a couple of drops. No offense to Tilghman's defense, but McCracken really stopped itself all night. They were not a Top 10 6A team Saturday.
  9. I'm leaning toward McCracken, but it's hard to pick against the Tornado with all of those seniors. I'll be interested in seeing how the Mustangs defense performs since we expect the offense to be good. But do they have a running game?
  10. Statman is pretty easy to use and is very complete. It's about $50 and requires you to already have Excel. You can check it out at statman2015.com
