I have not heard about Penix coming back yet. It could be, but I am not sure. Even if he comes back, I believe the plan was to always play both. I was talking about others. Since the North Hardin game, LCA has been without 5-6 starters every game. At one point, they had three starting LBs not dressed.

LCA is finally healthy. I expect this to be a really good game.

Oldham County travels to Lexington Friday, August 15th, to take on LCA at 7 pm. This is the second scrimmage for each team. Oldham County comes off scrimmaging Bowling Green. With 3 quarters of varsity play, the score was 27-7, Bowling Green. LCA scrimmaged Bryan Station last week, with a score of 21-7 LCA. The varsity only played 2 quarters. Who comes out of this looking ready to take on their opening day opponent?

Bryan Station travels to Lexington Christian Academy on Friday, August 8th, for the 1st scrimmage of the year. Scrimmage starts at 7 pm. 6A Bryan Station is coming off a 7-5 season. 2A LCA is coming off an 11-3 season. Both teams start the year with new head coaches. Coach Haskins takes over at Bryan Station for Coach Hawkins, and long-time LCA Offensive Coordination Coach Watkins takes over for Coach Charles at LCA. Last I heard, the format looks to be 10 plays each team, followed by 2 quarters of varsity and 2 quarters of JV. Let us know what you think!
