So, barber is the offensive line coach at Campbellsville.. is former PT coach perry Thomas still the head coach at Campbellsville?

The more I think about it the more I wonder if a few scenerios are possible...could haskins come out of retirement for this position?? Could Larry shanks make a run for it? Or more importantly could joe casey or even George Wilson turn the page on this program??.not likely but just a few thoughts to ponder on lol.

I'm not saying tilghman didn't have success with the wing-t.. I'm saying that I feel the administration doesn't feel the wing-t is the appropriate style..Tilghman has always been wide open.they just lost an amazing coach..i have all the respect for rodgers.that's all I'm saying!

Just gonna give my opinion regarding this opening..first off, rogers is an incredible coach that will have success in due time..paducah tilghman just wasn't the right fit for the wing-t...would love to see PT use a spread "Tony franklin" style offense..regardless of who gets the job, the administration MUST give him full control..Davis & other " involved personnel" must get the heck outta the equation...i would love to see PT return to dominance but in all reality I don't see it with this administration in place..jmo.

Alrighty folks, here's my prediction..heading into the game Sunday I feel Mayfield is the better team..mayfield is battle tested throughout the regular season, while NCC really hasn't impressed me much..i feel NCC doesn't have the defense to stop mayfields offense and definitely mayfield has the best defense in 2a..so, my prediction is 45-14 Mayfield..

Ok folks, here's my personal post game report... 1)Desales has a stingy defense, definitely not the best in 2a (maybe 3rd) but still a very good defense. 2)Desales has tremendous size on the line, but they were worn out midway through the 3rd quarter..need to improve conditioning! 3)Desales was terrible on offense.. 4)Mayfield defense played lights out in the second half.. 5) hats off to desales and their fans..they were a class act..folks, ya'll have a hell of a team, but some things just have to come to an end..congratulations and hopefully we'll see ya'll next year.. 6)Mayfield proved they are the best defense in 2a and can hang with anyone.. There ya go, now u know the rest of the story!! ;-)

Went over to stadium this morning..ground crew is working..they have tarps covering the field..their gonna try to limit the amount of rain that contacts the field directly..looks like it's gonna be a mud bowl if forecast stays accurate..

Forecast for Friday calls for a high temp of 63, a low temp of 54...81% chance of rain heavy between the 6-10pm time frame with possible flooding in lowlined areas..

Ok folks, here's the Eagle_pride!! weekly game prediction: I personally feel coming in to friday night that both teams are looking great..bit let's talk football.. Mayfield is battle tested and will continue to do what they do best..many Desales fans may disagree but Mayfield is hands down the best defensive team in 2a..I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan, I'm telling it like it is..now, Desales is a dangerous threat, but Desales is in no way mayfield material..it's like comparing apples to oranges..completely different.. I feel Desales will try to run the ball, something that will generate lil success friday for them..they will have some success in the air but not enough.. Also, someone said mayfield wouldn't hang 30 on desales, boy boy boy, now there's a whole other conversation I won't even elaborate on lol.. So, I feel mayfield and desales will have a defense battle.. with desales taking a 3-0 lead into the half..then everyone will see the best coaching staff in ky make the necessary adult MentschTrachtGottLacht with mayfield shutting out desales in the second half in route to a 14-3 win!!..there you have it folks...oh, and just so I'm clear, I highly respect desales team, champoinships, and staff, but fellas there's a new sheriff back in 2a...God bless all!

With all due respect, Desales hasn't played anyone like mayfield..i can personally assure you, you will see the best defense in 2a...congrats on making it this far, but sir, your train ride ends friday night..hope to see ya there..and good luck!!

War Memorial stadium...home of ur 11 time, (3 time current defending) state champions..a place that many teams' dreams have been shattered...Mayfield has only been beat once in regular season at home sense 2007( 6a Mccracken in OT).but Mayfield has not lost a home playoff game sense playing murray in the second round of the 1997 playoffs..so to all the Desales fans, when u step into our home (War Memorial) remember at that moment ur no longer in colt country, you've entered cardinal nation..go big red!!
