Mattie played and played well- the Grant team played hard start to finish. Really believe they will be a very good team next year.

Alef never no negative post about the kids - look through post - leave kids alone.

My son has played with kids on both sides of this game- all great kids- several cov cath kids on his club team - great kids - played w Devon and some Scott kids in futsol. Again great kids both sides! The adults should let the kids play and not comment on them- your not playing the game and in the moment- let them be kids and enjoy it- let them enjoy their high school years- these are kids playing a game and don't need any adults outside their coaches or parents comments.

I asked as ref at Walton and Calvary game Monday gave card to defender who was set when offense put ball down and kicked - kid jumped and stuck foot out and hit the ball- ref gave him card - I thought it was ok to stand ground unless they ask- they didn't and card was given- really surprised me. I didn't think the ref really knew the rule. I didn't fully get clear picture until now- thanks.

If defender jumps and makes contact they don't get a yellow- that is if offense isn't asking for 10 yards- just playing ball? I didn't know rule - official rule. Anyone know rule?

Funny- no the freshman plays on freshman team- freshman 6-0 and older brother 3-1 so was good night for All- - good when both win same night

Anyone know the rule? If team is awarded a free kick - team try's to take the kick quick and doesn't ask for 10 yards- defender right front of the ball stops the ball on the kick by deflecting- is this legal for defender? Can the defender be that close and play the ball on the kick?

Calvary freshman team pretty solid team- lot of 7-8 graders but solid players.

How was the game?

I think both assisted on each but really good finishes by Moran. Walton just a few players from Really being a great team but big progress this season so who knows as districts come around

Too bad they didn't get to play out we know kids on both sides and sure they would love to finish- Walton played Holmes in a complete downpour this afternoon.

Holmes got great future program as most those kids fresh and soph.

Yes have coached and ref sports- tough job but I have been to a lot games- kids could have gotten hurt on either side.
