  1. ok hope you bashing makes you feel better about your yourself
  2. true but still a solid quote that holds true HS/College/Pro.
  3. no sir I just like to give people 2nd chances and so many people get them in America. This is HS sports not life/death let the guy be.
  4. You could say the same thing for many programs in Kentucky. I understand your argument and you may be right about the Montgomery situation. However I disagree with you on your argument about wins against worse opponents because if you look at most of the programs especially in Kentucky with great success they have beaten many bad football teams. As Bill Parcells always says you are what your record says you are. He knows little more about football than us lol.
  5. I'm not saying he is or isn't but I know what I'm getting with proven resumes is my point, not every case is that true with jobs. I'm just saying in my opinion you go with proven success and winners if the opportunity presents itself. I don't know Coach Sizemore either personally but from what I'm reading on these boards he doesn't seem like popular choice but it's only people's opinions.
  6. I know Nate's family so of course I'm for him but in this instance I wasn't referring to him at all pick-six and to be honest that's sad if they don't want a great coach but other great coaches out there as well. You are right as well having success at one place doesn't mean you will at another I get that and agree with you. However I would much rather have someone like Nate with his resume and reputation as opposed to an unproven guy but that is just my opinion. Honestly Montgomery and Greenup are the same job going nowhere for a state title run in current situations. Montgomery has the facilities is the main positive and area to live in but same caliber job. I wasn't calling for Montgomery to hire McPeek or anybody else for that matter simply saying why not just HIRE the best? At the end of the day it's about politics which is sad so my statement will always be do what is best for the kids. That is to bring someone in that knows what they are doing and will demand/teach life principles that will help you win.
  7. Should open the coaching job back up and get better candidates from what I'm reading on here. At the end of the day the kids get hurt by not getting a very good coach, seems like a theme this year hiring people with no background of good coaching.
  8. Like I said Montgomery county Administration are bunch of clowns. Hire the Best coach and move forward, to many hidden agendas anymore.
  9. Montgomery like most schools has no vision and with those facilities could do some good things. Are they ever going to win a state title probably not but from what I heard and read they shunned the guy from Florida and guys like Nathan McPeek from the job because they just simply wanted to hire their friend that has been working in the school system. If he is truly the best then hire him but from what I've read on these boards he wasn't and that is sad. What happened to hire the BEST football coach for the job? Guess we don't live in that world anymore, seen where something like 6 middle school football coaches were hired as varsity head coaches what a flipping disgrace to the profession. Good luck though to the Indians
  10. I'm just saying by things posted indians seems to be in the know.
  11. Doesn't sounds like a guy who knows what a football coach is or he would have made the hire already and moved forward. I don't know him he might be a great guy and know about football but doesn't like it from what I read. Reading between the lines sounds like a guy that has hidden agenda if committee voted for one guy and he is saying another.
  12. What if the principal like most are incompetent and can't make a hire that makes sense? I just think football people should hire football coaches, basketball people should hire basketball coaches, so on and so forth. This entire process is flawed and it's sad to see.
  13. I'm hearing that the principal wants Sizemore but nobody else including the board. That won't work because the board has to sign off on hires if this is true. Looking like may go back to square one from what I've heard from people.
  14. Montgomery administration is bunch of clowns. They have no idea about football but same could be said for many schools. I saw letcher hired another MS coach give me a flipping break. Sad times in Kentucky for football coaches.
  15. Rowan County will be open if I was Coach Graham I would say you can have it. Rowan was decent with Shadon Brown but he also had the luxury of having Adam Wing running the show. Shadon is a great football coach and couldn't satisfy Rowan County. I don't understand why these schools put no emphasis on football and/or athletics. It's sad what is happening to Coach Graham but he won't be the first or last to do with stuff as a coach. If administration doesn't improve over the years public education is in trouble.
  16. Great post and I agree the issue is administration because they are solely focused on test scores and not athletics. As I posted on another thread 90% of the jobs in coaching are very bad, the 10% of the jobs that are good are solely because of administration support for the most part and that's sad. The dynamics of administration and parents has changed so much even in 10 years its scary.
  17. Good coaches have a system they believe in and develop based on teams talent. Bad coaches grab bag and try do what they see and implement it. For example what auburn runs is great stuff but doesn't look as good with no athletes at certain high schools. So many bad coaches in this profession but what do you expect when the pay is nothing. I read something where most Kentucky schools still using stipends from 1991 that's last time they refigured numbers. That's pretty sad IMO
  18. What risks? The one offense was an ineligible player same thing happened to Dale mueller at Fort Thomas Highlands. Simply saying yes bad thing happened but don't see the risk like your saying because like all human beings people learn from mistakes. He's to good of a coach for Greenup county in my opinion but figured given the circumstances they may contact him. Good luck to Greenup in the search.
  19. You might be right but it's been 2 plus years time for people to move on. Bobby Petrino just got contract extension lol. Pretty sure bell offered and he declined.
  20. If they were smart which many schools aren't I would at least reach out to coach Nathan McPeek to see if he's interested. If he's not then maybe randy vanderhoof
  21. Good luck to coach Mullins but he isn't nick Saban buddy lol
  22. Great Post and agreed jobs out there because more and more people don't want to teach and coach.
  23. I wasn't intending to say Coach Mullins is bad or as a negative simply saying I'm sure out of the candidates probably were better coaches/resumes that applied. He may go do very well there but to go from Greenup to a 6a lexington school is a bit puzzling to myself. Good luck to Coach Mullins and the Dunbar kids.
