Hope to see GRC join this list if they can keep winning. The Cardinals (4-0) have a big district matchup at Montgomery County tomorrow and a home game on Saturday afternoon vs. 11th Region opponent, Madison Southern.

GRC moves to 4-0 following a 3-2 victory over #41 Scott County.

GRC is now 3-0 after a 10-3 victory at #22 Sayre tonight. Big games remain this week against Scott County, Montgomery County, and Madison Southern.

Nicholas Nelson pitched 3 complete innings and 2 batters in the 4th. Andrew Thacker pitched 2/3 of an inning in the 4th. Jayden Walsh threw one pitch in the 4th and into the 5th inning until the game was called. Seth Bickley played centerfield for the Royals.

Jake Ware threw a 1-hit shutout for the Cardinals.

You mean other than defeating 23-5 Bourbon County (at the time) in the 40th District Championship last season - and you said that Bourbon County was average, too. GRC was in the top third of the KY HS baseball polls in 2015. This would make them above average, too, especially since they were only 1 of 64 teams to have won a District Championship.

I cannot speak for the other teams on your list; however, GRC is not an average baseball squad. The Cardinals led Scott in the 6th inning of the Regional Semifinal last season before Scott won 11-8. We all know that Scott lost to eventual state champion, West Jessamine, in the Final Four. The Cardinals lose 2 starters from last year's team and gain a good one as a transfer.

Multiple schools delay buses going home due to road conditions

GRC will return the majority of its starters from last year's 40th District Champion and 10th Region Semifinalist team. The Cardinals lose Jordan Williams and Luke Sharrock to graduation; however, Peyton Dove joins the team as an outfielder and pitcher for his senior season. The Cardinals travel to Georgia during Spring Break to take on 4 teams from Ohio, including 2 large schools from the Columbus Metro area - Olentangy and Olentangy Liberty. mcraycraft might be referring to the 2016-2017 basketball season since the Cardinals will not have a returning junior on the team.
