This is a email with real intrest. never went to the camp. School came to the HS later in the summer and offered. FCS school. I hope this email finds you doing well. I just wanted to reconnect with you two and explain that our interest in XXXX is still extremely high. XXX's highlight tape has been watched by our entire offensive staff. After watching his tape as a staff we evaluated XXXX as a potential offer though we would love for him to attend one of our camps this summer. I understand that this is no easy feat given our distance from Kentucky. However, as I coach XXXX's position I truly like xXXx's ability and think he would be a great fit in our offensive scheme. I attempted to call xXX today and use my one permitted call and was unable to get in touch with him. I just wanted to reiterate my personal and our teams interest in xXXX and hope attending one of our camps is still something you both will consider. Congrats on your offers I knew it was only a matter of time before they came your way. Have a wonderful afternoon and Go Rams!!

Personal invites in my book are. Email that talks about how they like your film or have seen you play. A phone call or txt asking to come. A hand written letter that states your film or what position you play. No run of the mill email or letters. Heck call the coach and ask them for info on the camp and ask if they know who your son is or seen film.

The height of players makes a big difference. A 6'5 center will never get a D1 offer. No matter how good he is or the exposure. So it's a combo of God given things height speed size and exposure. A 6'10 kid that is half the player will get the offer over the shorter better player. No ifs and or butts about that. Same with football. A 5'10 O limeman doesn't get offers. All the exposure in the world won't change that. A slow RB won't get offers. Marketing won't change the fact your short or slow. If that was the case D1 would be filled with short centers and short O lineman.

I feel my sons HC did his job by putting my son in the right spot. I did the marketing of him. Now I started out like most asking him to help. I feel he didn't think he could play at that level. That changed with offers rolling in. I knew his view wasn't the only one. Who do you trust to know more about recuirting? A HS coach with 0 kids ever offered or a D1 staff that gets paid to find players. You have to do the leg work. You have to answer that question by sending out film and camps.

Yes that is true. I got from the HC. I have a school calling me saying they offered your son. How? I didn't make the film and I don't know them. I have never had a player offered before. I knew I was on my own at that point. I hope that now the HC has some contacts that he never did in the past. Maybe those schools will call him every year to find out if he has someone. I feel I may have helped the program in that way.

I would like to see more kids from NKY get free rides. I have posted what I did. some on BGPs think isn't not good info. So I no longer do I want to post what I did to help my player. I also called yahoo sports and other recuirting rating services. Ask them to look at the film and rate him. They did. It's not hard to do.

Look at it this way. My son was offered by schools that had never ask him to come to a JR day. Schools that never ask him to come to camp. Why would they offer him and not a kid that came to the JR day and Muti camps they held over the last two years? WKU came to school the day before Signing day offer a PWO spot and told he was in a good position to get a schorlship down the road. He had never been to a camp or was asked to a JR day.

I think the big thing is to see the difference between a look and real intrest. So many times we get so and so is coming to look at a player. Well that's just a look. Most good players will get a look. That is light years from a solid offer. I will say this over and over. Your not a recuit until you have an offer.

I do believe very few slip under the radar. Like I said. For me it was easy. I sent out tape and got tons of responses. I think most of that is the fact my son fit the mold height weight and had great film. Word does get around one offer turned into to Muti quickly.

I hope so also. I was asked by other parents to HELP their son. I know I got eyes on kids from schools that had no idea where NKY was!

I feel that it's not their job to do this. They should. It only helps the program. Some don't help much.

Not a pass. That is what happened. So I took it upon myself to get the notice. That's all. It wasn't hard.

The problem. Some HS coaches don't know what level kids can play at. Think about this. If the HS coach played at a lower level and so did all the staff and they never had a kid offered D1. How are they going to know?

if you play in NKY you will have to send out video and go to camps. Unless your a can't miss stud. Sending out video is free. I know for a fact you can get offers on video alone. I think most coaches will make a video and send it to the schools he has contacts with.

D3 players aren't just kids who are missed or kids that didn't want and passed up the chance to get a free education. I think Little Ram and SK QB at TM are not the norm. If a top 10 D3 has maybe 6 D1 transfers. That's still a very low number. That's a top 10! No one ever said D3 isn't good football. If the talent was spread out amoung all levels. Why has only 19 D3 players been drafted from 1990 to 2015? 19 kids out of over 5000 draft picks. Way less than 1%.

I will back this up. My son was offered by a D1 school that I had never sent a video too or went to a camp they were at. How did they find him and offer him? also got a call from a school 1000 miles away asking to be a PWO. I never sent a thing to them.

Don't a lot of the top D3 players end up getting schorlships at D1 schools? I believe they don't have to sit out a year. You would think if NFL scouts are looking at kids, D1 coaches are also..

This looks about right to me.

All the RBs listed are very good. I just think England has size and speed! Who's going to have the best line? Hard to run with no blocking.

RB is one of the hardest spot to get offers at. Lots of fast kids playing football all over the U.S. I don't think NKY has ever been a hot bed of D1 RBs. If those times from England are true he should be getting offers soon.

With all the talk of D1 schools. jR day invites. Why not put that into play? I would rather be the 3rd best BGPs RB and get a free education and play on TV. Than be the NKY #1 RB. Lol

LEGIT in HS is one thing. Playing at the D1 full ride is another...

Fit the mold get offers. Don't and no offer will ever come your way. ... don't matter how many yards TDs you have.

As a Dixe fan. England was the back that was the better of the two I saw between Powell and England. England is bigger runs over people and at least as fast at a much greater weight.
