25 minutes till kickoff. Homecoming tonight at FS. A few thousand here already.

For Franklin-Simpson it would be Russellville. They have played every year since I think 1944 when FS was formed. It used to be Bowling Green but FS stopped playing them a few years ago.

I love road games. If I can drive there in less than a day I would go to a faraway road game, but I don't do airplanes LOL. I love to go see how other schools do things at their stadiums. What kind of surroundings they have, how big their fan base is, concessions etc. Plus I just enjoy driving. I noticed on the KHSAA website that Pikeville is traveling to play at Calloway County on October 6. You can't take a much longer trip within the state than that to play a game. That's not as long a distance as Trinity playing Florida teams, but it is unusual to see that long of a road trip with teams that are not nationally ranked powers.

According to the schedule Hopkinsville travels to Logan County on October 5, a Thursday night game during fall break for several school systems around here. I think I will have to check out that game.

Coach Preston on his radio show this morning said Meade is big and runs an offense similar to Elizabethtown. Sounds like a good test for the Wildcats
