Could be. Not sure of his dad's name kid is about 6'2" can play every position on the court. Played A point guard/point forward type role for Jones.

Ra Jones 8th won 51-40 Incredible game by Tichenor and Ra at half it was 12-8... Tichenkr Ra's first boys championship in 22 years. Congrats to Coach Humphries and staff. Saladin and Combs kids are good. Velquez Merrit and Fauz all could log very valuable minutes.

Small School Championship Saturday- 6th 1. Beechwood v. 6. Ra Jones 7th 1. Newport v. 2. Beechwood 8th 3. Ra Jones v. 4. Tichenor This is the first time RA has had a team in the championship in 22 years and they have 2 this year. There has been a lot of talk about how they are in the small division but I know Beechwoods 6th killed most of the big division as well as Newports 7th. And Ra's 8th only lost to Gray by 3 who won the big school division. Because of that I think we need to stop the small/big school name. I'm calling it Division 1 and Division 2. Looking for some good basketball today head to Sharp Middle in Pendleton Cty.

Did all three Beechwood middle school teams make it to the championship I know the 6th and 7th did but have not been told who won the 8th?

Who has Beechwood Lost to in the small division- 6th 7th 8th And does anyone know who Bracken, Tichenor & Newport Have lost to.

Honestly I'm new to RA I knew a little bit about them from when my nephews played against them but they were never any good. I heard from the parents this current 8th grade team won 1 game last year and the same for the 7th. 7th are 9-9 I think 8th are 12-6 Was told they have a good coaching staff and they have made some ball players out of the kids from last year. I believe it after watching them tonight.

Watched a great game tonight. Ra Jones and Gray 8th Grade. Ra Was down 10 at one point in the 4th. Then Came back and made it a game. Think the final was 51-47 Gray. Gray player was hurt in the first I hope he is ok. Very impressive Gray team a parent told me they had only lost once. Glad I stayed thru all 3 games.

From what I am hearing the small Division for 8th grade should be very competitive. 1. Beechwood (?) 2. Ra Jones (12-5) / Newport (?) 4. Tichenor (10-5) 5. Bracken Cty (12-6) 6. Sharp (9-7) 7. Campbell 8. Bellevue 9. Ludlow 10. Dayton 7th Newport Beechwood Bracken Tichenor Ra jones/Sharp Campbell Ludlow Dayton Bellevue 6th Beechwood Newport Bracken Campbell Tichenor/Dayton Ra jones Sharp Ludlow/Bellevue No official but from what we have heard at games that's what it looks like

Ra Jones (small division) 6th - 4 - 9 7th - 8 - 7 (lost in OT to Bracken tonight) 8th - 10 - 5 (lost to Newport & Bracken but won both the second time) (Camp Ernst, Beechwood by 3, Tichenor are the other losses)

Can we designate this thread to only the records of teams from this season as we approach the tourneys it would be good to know for the big and small divisions.

I have said it before I am new to the Middle school basketball scene here. Do the Small and big Division play in the same bracket in the end or how does it work? Also Don't Sleep on RA Jones for the 8th grade small Divison. There 8-5 but beat Newport the other night and only lost to Beechwood by 3 with less than 20 seconds to go. Bracken county in the small is also impressive. Ra lost down there by 2 without there best player. Ra has lost too.. Beechwood by 3, (I think Tichenor) Newport the first matchup, Camp Ernst first game of the year and Bracken by 2 and Ra had a few chances to win at the end. Ra's 7th has looked good as well against everyone but Newport IMO. 6th grade season has been rough but they are making the necessary improvements down the final stretch. I have watched all there 6th grade games and a few of the 7th/8th games.

Well that's different... I'm new to the middle school basketball seen around here. Have watched a few games, watched Jones upset Newport tonight. 6th went to OT and Jones won, had one kid for them hit some clutch shots there at the end. 7th not so hot but I was told that 7th grade team for Newport is one of the best in NKY. 8th graders were impressive, Jones had one kid score 17 or 19 in the first quarter. JonesEnded up winning 49-43 I think. I was told by a Newport Dad they were second too Beechwoods 8th in the small Division.

Does anyone know the current standings for Teams in the big and Small Divisions- I know Jones Middle in Florence is- 6th- 2-6 7th- 6-3 8th- 5-4
