E1T1, who TBC Elite beat in tournament play of Knox Vegas Invitational two weekends ago in Knoxville, won the AAU D1 Easter Classic at the ESPN complex. I'm assuming that tournament is no joke, and a bigger one for TBC Elite than some had originally thought.

From their schedule, TBC Elite 16U will be at the St. Louis Eagles (EYBL) Spring Classic tournament which is NCAA Certified.

From a very realiable source, I've heard that the current 16U Manimal team is slated to play in the EYBL league next year for 17U.

I don’t think it is fair to turn this thread into a bash fest about who selected the players and who didn’t make the team. It does make for good conversation, but in my opinion, we should make it about who was selected. These are the kids who showed up, worked hard, and were selected. It is a great honor that should be celebrated. The KABC Coaches of the Year from each region worked together to select this team, not one individual person was in charge of this task. I am sure the goal of these coaches was to select the team that would give Kentucky the best opportunity to beat Indiana. Indiana is loaded with D1 athletes and talent, and it looks like this roster is best suited to match up with them. There were several good players that didn’t make this team and I am sure it was a difficult decision for the coaches who selected it. With that being said, congratulations to the players who made the team. Beat Indiana!

Well let's just be happy for a Kentucky team that beat a "solid" team from a big basketball state in Florida. All the KY teams had a great tournament last weekend from scores, and post I've seen on here. I do know that in talking to TBC's assistant coach that E1T1 featured Blake Morrow from Sarasota Christian, who as a sophomore has been named to the 15 player all state team out of Florida in class 2A the last two years. As a freshman and sophomore. He's also already a member of the 1,000 point club as well.

In AAU 2014 thread there are a lot of the rosters for teams. TBC Elite's 16U is listed below. Hunter Wood - Pendleton Co Trent McGovney - Campbell Co Tanner Kidwell - Madison South Pig Williams - Mason Co Wade Browning - Pendleton Co Zack Pulliam - Harrison Co Siah Holifield - West Jessamine Austin Fries - Simon Kenton Brandon Klefot - Bullitt East Matt Wilson - Campbell Co I am told they could be adding one more post player in July to compliment Wilson.

Certainly agree with you in that Eli Wright is one of the best, if not best prospects in the class of 2016. And I've heard rumbling's he could be headed to Hoop Dreams as well. If that happens, they are clear cut number one in that age division. But I wouldn't sleep one TBC Elite. From another thread, they did beat E1T1 (EYBL) out of Florida at the Knox Vegas tournament last week. KY Elite can also be mentioned as one of the top teams in 16U as well. But I'm not totally sold on them yet, especially with a limited bench. If Eli leaves, they won't be in the discussion as a top 10 team though in 16U. But that's just my opinion. Everyone's got one, and there all different. :thumb:

Going strictly off of results, reports, and teams I've seen play in person. I don't believe the travelers have played in a tournament yet? May be wrong on that one though. The 5 teams listed all put on impressive showings at the Knox Vegas tourney as reported in another thread. Two were in the elite 8 (TBC/Manimal), and Manimal won it all.

16U I would go with: 1.) Manimal 2.) Ky Heat 3.) Lville Magic 4.) TBC Elite 5.) Hoop Dreams State tournament in a couple weeks at the KBA should be a dandy in that age division.

Just saw that TBC Elite (16U) and Team Manimal (16U) will be playing each other at 3:30 this Saturday at the KBA. Should be a great game, with tons of talent on the court for both teams.

Has anyone heard who the applicants are as to date?

Per Coach Stapleton's twitter, Mason Monroe (Former Pendleton Co, and Transy starting PG) will be helping out as an assistant coach on TBC Elite.

Has the Bracken Co job been posted yet?
