If I'm not mistaken, nobody from Dixie is bragging about their playoff prowess. I wasn't taking a shot, I was backing up your point. There aren't a lot of teams in the state that have won 10 playoff games in the last 6 years.

I was thinking the same thing but I am not one to pick on people when they have trouble grasping the obvious. :idunno:

I have always believed that the team that LOST the first game has a bit of an advantage in game planning for the rematch. The losing team can see where things went wrong and try to "tweak" their game plan to offset their short comings. On the other hand, the winning team, WON, thus making "tweaks" difficult. How can we change our winning strategy so we win again? It comes down to, can the losing teams make enough quality "tweaks" to come out on top and can the winning team recognize and adjust to those "tweaks" by making their own "tweaks" during the game in order to come out on top?

I don't know how many classes would be perfect. We've tried 3, 4 and 6. No matter how it is sliced, a dozen teams have won most of the title. IMVHO, if we went back to 3 or 4, the same teams would be taking home the gold, maybe at a higher rate than with six classes.

Since 1959, there have been 218 State Champions Crowned 5% of the teams (12) have won 56% (122 of 218) championship games since the playoffs began in 1959. .9% of the teams (2) have won 20% (44 0f 218) of the titles. Year after year, CovCath and Highlands CHOOSE tough opponents for their non-district schedule. How many 4A schools play GCL South teams, top ranked Florida teams and historically successful HIGHER class KY powers? You can't "eliminate the top 2" because those are the CHOSEN opponents.
