  1. I don't know if it's an absence of Male posters or not. There's a thread on another board that has regular Male posters, who all vehemently denied some of their coach's actions at other coaching stops, that are now conspicuously absent. I have known this guy for years, and nothing he does would shock me. I think he's the best teacher of fundamentals out there, and the worst role model for kids. Lots of people have tried to rationalize his antics because he wins. If this latest accusation is true, he needs to be suspended or fired. No excuse for this!
  2. Is it safe to say your respective coaching staffs will have a new look next season? Can you fill us in on any changes, new faces, new titles?
  3. Has Trinity hired a defensive coordinator yet?
  4. Make of it what you will.. I believe citycat was responding to a post by Rez, who stated he/she would rather have watched Ballard or Hoptown
  5. And your fan base wonders why you're so disliked by other schools. Trinity was insignificant in basketball for most of its history. Coach Szabo has done a great job building that program. Ballard has been successful for a long, long time. Being disrespectful to their kids & coaches is uncalled for and quite frankly, classless.
  6. A question for Coach Reed. If a head coach has assistants who have ben around a while, hasn't he participated and overseen the systems being installed? Back when I coached, assistants were sounding boards and we got input, but the head guy did what he wanted and we followed. To say we didn't understand the chain of command is a little unfair, in some cases. The head coach has a responsbility to communicate his wishes. I worked for a guy who was too layed back. When things went bad, he pointed fingers at the staff. Luckily the AD saw through it. I'm just saying that in some instances like I experienced, the head coach doesn't lead, and in my example, he tried to let all of us take one for the team.
  7. Thanks for clearing that up, Coach. I'm sure you can see how questions come up. With facebook and Twitter nowdays kids talk to kids in other schools, parents talk to other parents, nobody knows for sure what is going on so it becomes part of the rumor mill . When almost the whole staff leaves at a high profile program its bound to create some buzz.
  8. Coach J, just curious as to why such sweeping changes were needed. Glad to see you survived the mass exodus.
  9. I think the same question could be asked of Trinity & St. X football...how many coaches do you need?
  10. "I always like to deal with people man-to-man." Always heard that about you. I didn't mean to offend you, Coach. I heard several versions of what went on at OC & why. I appreciate you clearing things up.
  11. Hmmm...sure different from what I was told, but have to take Coach J's word. By the way Coach, same person told me your entire staff will be new next season. That inaccurate too?
  12. Let's just say he had stalked the sideline there before.
  13. Be interested to know as well. The entire search process was pretty hush hush. Had a reliable source tell me they tried hire a familiar face but something fell apart late. Heard good things about their new HC though.
  14. What about a HC who applies for a job, while encouraging his assistants to apply for the same job without informing them? It happened recently, and I thought it was poor form.
  15. Same topic, different emphasis...does the HC owe it to his assistants to let them know what's up? Maybe one of BGP's coaches/members, like Coach J, could offer their opinions.
