  1. I really don't know what the player said, just that he was mocking Coach Davis as he would talk in a game. Coach Davis is a heck of a coach and as for Coach Gatewood, he has a very promising future as a coach (thanks to Goodin/Wiggington). By the way he coaches you can tell that he coaches family and passion which is rare nowadays.
  2. It's the responsibility of the head coach to make sure their players say nothing in the line. Tim Davis not once got in the kids face, he was just saying show some class as he continued walking. Taylor county has been like that all year, classless. They are very cocky because they went undefeated in a weak 5th region while avoiding the top 4 teams in the region. Then you see from example what happens when they do play tough teams (Hoptown/Lincoln). If they win Region I'd be shocked.
  3. The coach of the player who was mocking should be the one to show by example, not the one who was mocked. The assistants of Taylor county were as well getting in the faces of assistants of Campbellsville for just asking a simple question. Then we wonder why the kids act that way. To go along with it, Taylor county is up 30 with a min to go with starters in the game. With all rivalry aside, at this point in the season, you're playing for a championship. Not rivalry. What happens if Wiggington or Goodin gets hurt?? No one to blame but the coach. Show some class.
  4. I like remember the titans quote! "Attitude reflects leadership." Hmmmmm....
  5. One of the Taylor county players was walking through the line mocking campbellsvilles coach, and campbellsville coach wasn't shy of telling them to show some class. Then things got heated between coaches and their assistants.
  6. Other than Etown, their in region play was weak. I would say other than Taylor, Etown, JH, and Bardstown....the 5th region is a little down.
  7. I didn't see a thread for the Lincoln game, final score?
  8. IMO I think this was the right time for Wayne County to lose. Could be a very good thing with district and region right around the corner. Experience that first loss, fight through the pain of losing, rebound as a team and go into district with another level of motivation!!
  9. I really hope none of these players are commenting on here or even worried about what people are saying on here. Forums and post can really ruin a kids attitude. This is for fans of the game!!
  10. Haha I would agree! In person, yes it did. By the video it's very hard to tell where the balls exact location was at the time the net was hit. However, you're exactly right, if you hold Lincoln to 45 and don't get the win...that's got to be frustrating. Should be a very interesting district tournament.
  11. I've seen the video, IMO it's the right call. It's just like smacking the backboard on a layup when there's no attempt on the play.
  12. The ball was still on its way towards the basket. Correct call.
  13. Explain how that was goaltending? The player clearly swatted at the net while the ball was going in. Correct call from the official.
  14. I've seen Goodin play numerous of times, and he really does deserve to be in the Top 10. The one thing about him though is his teammates. Everyone on Taylor County's team knows their role. Coach Gatewood is doing a great job!
  15. I must say, it escalated quickly LOL! Went from scoreboard, to ACT, to STD, to pregnancy. Kids didn't hold back, great rivalry.
  16. Just curious to as why "Wireman" said they wouldn't have liked to have been at the game.
