Also attended this game. Austin Howard led all scorers for Eastern with 22 points. CAL was always "close" within 8-10 points but whenever they made a run to cut the lead to 2-3 points Eastern would come right back. At the beginning, Cameron Reed hit 3 threes in a row. Things got chippy starting in the third quarter. #33 Tyler Cambron (Eastern) picked up a technical foul for arguing with the referees then Gregory Frist (CAL) elbowed and pushed and was hit with a flagrant 1 foul. The referees also threw out 2-3 fans from both sides for arguing.

Was at this game. Not really a contest. Martin had 23 and I think it was Kuvasevic had 3 threes and ended up with 14 points. Interesting play: Ballard had this play which they did repeatedly where Snider would drive to the free throw line after a made basket and pass behind the back to Martin who would shoot a three. They did this play probably four times in a row and Martin hit the three every single time.

Has been an expected blowout so far with Ballard leading 26-2 over KCD at the end of the first quarter. Nice breakaway dunk by Martin. Backups started playing halfway through first quarter.

I'm in Louisville but the travel teams start playing in the summer at 15u. There are many 8th graders who are 14 who play travel ball but also play in a middle school league. It is definitely not as competitive but lets you play with future teammates. The only schools in Louisville that are allowed to play 8th graders on a freshman team are private schools like CAL, KCD, and others.
