  1. I know nothing about the YouTube payouts but if its anything like tiktok there is money to be made. Our sons friend moved from Russell to L.A. right out of high school from tiktok money, he has a manager and such. His manager did tell him to move his "fans" to other platforms though because tiktok will likely be shut down here.
  2. So how long will it be before goggles are mandated to go to the grocery store? However long it takes to make millions of goggles?
  3. It can be done at home, though most people don't know how to do it, so you're likely right about most people overcooking their steaks at home. A lot of the nice steakhouses use sous vide these days to slow cook the steaks then they essentially just sear them to finish them. If you have the right grill you can do the same at home (or of course you could sous vide it at home) just by grilling indirect at a low temperature. If you want it to be medium rare just pull it off the grill when its rare, heat the grill to searing temps and put a quick sear on the steak.
  4. A 2" thick t-bone if I'm cooking it myself. Best of both worlds as you get a strip and a filet, bone in. At a restaurant it really depends on how well I trust them to get the internal temperature right. But generally I go with a filet or a ribeye as both are hard to screw up even if you don't get the internal temp right. I love prime rib as well but its hard to find a good prime rib at a restaurant and I only due a couple a year at home due to the price and how much meat that gets turned into leftovers.
  5. I can't do it, the only thing I know would be roasted potatoes would come in last. But I really like those as well.
  6. Wearing the mask actually does take away one of your rights in two of our great states.
  7. Yes, it actually does. PM me if you want to know what I'm talking about and I will message you back tomorrow. I don't really want to put it in public because its a grey area as far as terms of service goes.
  8. Again I cant get into that but wearing the mask takes away certain rights.
  9. It honestly doesn't seem any more convenient or practical to me. I've always wore a shirt when going into a business, now they want me to add a mask when my shirt can be used as a mask? That doesn't sound more convenient at all to me, just me being told to wear a mask.
  10. What would that be? My shirt is made from the same material as my mask. If I feelna sneeze or cough coming on (haven't even had that happen yet) I can just pull my shirt over my face.
  11. Ferris has came a long way in recent years and they seem to be built like tanks these days, the only complaints I've heard are the hydro pump leaks. All of the mentioned mowers are gonna give a really nice cut, its really just about what you need to do what you want with the mower, which also depends on the terrain of the area you live in.
  12. I can't get into that without violating bgp terms. There are a couple of reasons though, one of which you likely wouldn't want to lose your ability to do.
  13. I'm just curious why I can't just use my shirt instead. Its monthly cloth, like my mask.
  14. Or I can just wear my shirt over my nose. Why do I need to add the mask when I'm already wearing a shirt thats gonna be just as effective, maybe more depending on how thick the shirt is. Ahh I forgot, I need to because thats what I'm being told to do.
  15. Yes, the same things go wrong with a new mower as they do with a used mower. The only thing you have working for you is the warranty, but in a lot of cases the shop will have the mower for a month+ so that comes at a price as well. If you have any mechanical ability at all they're really easy to work on so I'm a big fan of buying used or working on what you already have to keep it going. A used ExMark is gonna cut the same as a new one as long as it doesn't have a bent frame or deck and thats uncommon. If buying used just look for leaks from the hydro pumps and wheel motors, also make sure the hydro pumps are strong and no whine from the wheel motors. We have a 48" ExMark in the fleet that is 20 years old. We put a new motor on it two years ago but the pumps and wheel motors are still original and running strong. Outside of that its just been routine maintenance that you would have to do on a new mower as well.
  16. People that are sneezing and coughing uncontrollably shouldn't be in the business to begin with, stay at home if you have those symptoms. If by some chance I am in a business and I feel a random sneeze or cough coming on I can pull my shirt over my nose and accomplish the same result a cloth mask would provide.
  17. Covid doesn't hang out in gas stations. Just like you're fine in a restaurant once you're sitting down. Even pro mask humans need not to worry in those two instances.
  18. I don't encroach on other peoples space, whether I'm wearing a mask or not, so you are safe from me.
  19. I believe that's a Walmart rule, not a state law. They have the right to refuse business to anyone, just like any other business does. Their employees aren't trained to be bouncers though, so I'm curious about how they plan on enforcing it. Hopefully it goes over smoothly, again it's their business and they can rule it however they wish. I just hope it doesn't turn into a disaster.
  20. I already know what the results will be, essentially the masks aren't effective in most ways. Particularly if you have a beard, do I have to shave my beard now too? Wait till the people making these "rules" figure that aspect of the mask out. We will all have to be clean shaven to go out in public.
  21. Absolutely correct about the law. As far as masks go I'm not sure how my mask is more effective when other people in the store are wearing them as well, as opposed to just myself. If we're gonna get that serious about it then nothing in the store is safe due to the fact that someone had to package it, touch it at checkout, etc. The logic behind that just doesn't make sense to me. Either the mask works or it doesn't. Seems like it doesn't, especially the cloth masks that most people are wearing. I may as well just pull the neck of my shirt above my nose.
  22. 1. It's not a law. Until people understand that then there is no point in continuing the discussion. Its like beating on a dead horse.
  23. A buddy and I have a lawn care/landscaping business so feel free to pm me if you need more information. But I'll touch on some things now. As far as brands go I'm a big fan of ExMark, Scag and Ferris for commercial mowers. ExMark and Scag have been making great products for a long time and Ferris seems to be making an excellent product these days. The only negatives I've heard about Ferris is that the hydro pumps can develop leaks and they have small gas tanks. The tank size wouldn't effect you though if you plan to only mow a few lawns per day. I'm not a huge fan of John Deere commercial mowers, they hold up fine for homeowners but don't seem to on the commercial end of things. There are two different types of stand on mowers and then of course the ZTR if you wanna ride. Picking one really depends on what you plan on mowing mostly. A ZTR will not hold a hillside safely, so unless you're mowing mostly flat properties I wouldn't go that route. If you're properties are mostly flat then the ZTR is the way to go though as it is quicker and more comfortable. As for as the stand on and walk behind mowers go they are a lot alike but the walk behind with an attacked velke is more versatile, but not as quick, though you can run around 7mph on one. The stand on mowers that have a built in platform are a bit more comfortable to ride and some of them run at close to ZTR speeds. But you're also standing on a platform that is about a foot above the ground. So you sacrifice center of gravity on hillsides as well as the ability to go under low hanging tree limbs. We use all of the above but given the terrain in my area the walk behinds with attached velke's are what gets the most hours. Deck size also depends on your properties. Anything that has fencing with a small gate is going to be a problem to get into the lawn if you have a deck larger than 48" and some gates will only fit a 36" deck. But if you're going to be mowing large/open properties a larger deck is obviously going to be more efficient. If i were going to only have one mower I feel like a 48" deck would be the sweet spot. It will fit through most modern gates and if it doesn't the lawn is likely small enough to push mow. Hope that helps some. For weedeaters and other two stroke equipment I'm a big fan of Redmax, its the only brand we get more than a year out of these days and we've tried pretty much all of them. EDIT: ExMark and Toro are essentially the same, share the same parts, etc. I believe the deck design as well as the frame may be slightly different but if you don't want to pay ExMark money the Toro's are a good option.
  24. Its not a law. Most businesses aren't going to enforce it for fear of losing business. So you'll likely be limited to shopping at Walmart in the near future if you wish not to shop anywhere that requires a mask. Besides if your mask works, why does everyone else need to wear one for you to feel comfortable in said store?
