  1. Maybe I was a bit harsh in my first statement. I apologize for that. I am honestly glad that they are turning things around and becoming a competitive team. Greenup does have some really good kids on that team. I do believe that the Rams will show up this week with a chip on their shoulder and ready to play. They're definitely not looking past Greenup. Again good luck to the Musketeers after Friday night and hopeful that both teams make it thru Friday injury free. Sticking with my earlier prediction. Raceland -28 Greenup -13
  2. Yep, pretty ugly. See how good you guys look against them here soon. Ashland is a Class 4A school ranked #3 in the state and they have 3 committed D1 players on their team. They beat a power house GW team from Charleston last week. But I think you guys can give em a thumping. I said earlier we hadn't proved anything this year but neither team has. I honestly hope Greenup wins any game they play in after this week, but I don't think very many GC fans feel the same about Raceland. Main thing is that both teams make it thru without any injuries. Oh, that was a joke about giving Ashland a thumping, they are tough.
  3. Glad to see them on their way back. 2 wins over very lackluster programs and playing Russell close on a bad night for them in their opener and EVERYBODY acts like GC has conquered the world. I grant you they are a much improved team but have they accomplished anything spectacular yet, no. And Raceland has not lived up to what they were billed to be yet. Should've done a better job against WC, maybe could've played Ashland a bit closer, maybe could've put EC away quicker. 50 hours from now we're gonna know a bit more about what both programs have. I, of course hope and feel that Raceland wins. I also hope to see Greenup continue to get better, but neither team has proven themselves to anyone yet.
  4. You and I must look at final scores differently.
  5. Just wishful thinking, we're starting to click. Unless they have a Q Baker on their team, they're not the favorites. Believe me, our players will be up for this game. NO OVERLOOKING ON THIS ONE.
  6. Greenup's line and Ashlands line aren't in the same league.
  7. It's always a big JFL rivalry because they play each other 3 to 5 times per year. Idk how the other classes did but our Junior team had some epic games against Greenup in the 6th grade, one going into 6 OT'S before ending. Raceland's Junior class was undefeated in their 6th grade, 7th, grade, and 8th grade years until being beaten by Butler Co. in the 8th Grade State Championship Game. Greenup Co. came closer to beating them than almost anybody. It was always a close game when the Rams and Musketeers played each other. The bulk of our starters are from the Junior class, think we'll lose 21 or so when they graduate. We've had 2 common opponents so far this year. Raceland won big over Lewis Co. in the Grid-o-Rama, Greenup blanked Lewis 35-0 in their opener. Greenup lost by at least 1TD, think it was 22-14 to West Carter in the Gid-o-Rama, Raceland beat West Carter 35-26 in our opener.
  8. The Rams will be ready. The players want this game more than any game on the schedule except the district games. This goes all the way back to JFL. They'll be up for this. RAMS by 2 TD'S.
  9. Was 42-6, last TD was given up near end of game with starters on the bench. The Rams came to life in the 3rd qtr after the Raiders owned them the entire 2nd qtr. Final was 42-12.
  10. We'll said Little Ram, we're gonna see a motivated team Friday night. Getting slapped around the past 2 weeks has kinda got an edge put on this team and you're gonna see a completely different attitude from these guys. This one gets UGLY fast ! ! ! RAMS win BIG ! ! !
  11. Pretty sure the OL is getting a small shake-up on the left side, may or may not make a difference in opening gaps for the backfield. But I think it will. Think the Raiders will be the recipients of 2 week of frustration taken out on them. Running clock shortly after halftime. Raceland 56 East Carter 6
  12. Back to the game, I hope every player on both teams is eligible to play. That way all the hoopla is left on the field instead of "if, would, could, etc" With everyone playing, it's all said and done. Somebody won and somebody lost. Give it heck next week either way. All yours. Bedtime and tomorrow is GameDay.
  13. VERY TRUE, You have no clue.
  14. Discipline always makes a team better.
  15. Discipline was handed out numerous times last year.
  16. 23 hours till the lips stop flappin' and the hits start slappin'! ! ! RAMS are READY TO RUMBLE ! ! ! ! !
  17. You know what was previously mentioned, I don't have to mention it. Just saying that our players are disciplined when their actions warrant it.
  18. I didnt say he did anything. Just said what happens at Raceland when you screw up.
  19. At Raceland, screw up and you're off the team or suspended from team.
  20. Guess I'll get it going. Raceland over Ashland Frankfort over Paintsville, wouldn't pick this if the Tigers were at home.
