  1. I have said all along that Dixie is going to be a force to recon with in 6A, would not surprise me at all to see them win the district. Cant wait to see them tee it up against SK, that should be the game of the year in 6A
  2. I have to put my money, what little I have on Holmes, I think they win going away, 20+
  3. Hate to say it, but I could not agree more, SK should be in front of BW and Conner. Of course we will see how it plays out over the next several weeks, but for now I have to agree with you 100%.
  4. Is the Deaton kid hurt, he started last year as a soph. and is a solid player? Just curious not to see him listed.
  5. Unfortunately most are not true high school football fans, no doubt Mayfield is well known across the state and should be favored to win it all. I think BW can compete this year as they did in 2011, and I also think that if BW were to beat Mayfield it would be an upset. I only hope as a true football fan that these two teams meet in late November and its a hell of a game, that would be awesome.
  6. Mislead, that is the proper terminology, not lied to! By the way Quick, I was out by the airport the other day and could have swore that I saw a 747 with the BW tiger paw sitting out by DHL....that ride is sweet!
  7. Will be curious to see how well BW defends the pass, obviously Barker can sling it around the yard, just want to see how well they stack up. It will be a barometer of how well they might play against Mayfield and their outstanding QB.
  8. I think Slusher and Bankamper both have the potential to be solid at LB, my only fear is that they are both Sophs and there is a big jump in athleticism from freshmen to varsity and I wonder about Slushers size, he has the height, but not a lot of weight to bring it. I think they will be more than fine at that position at about week 4 or 5, they just have to see what combination or rotation works to their advantage. One thing I think that will definitely help the LB's is the talent on the defensive line, I see McKown, Etler, Hamilton and Mahorney anchoring the interior and they have at least 5 DE's that can rotate so they will have fresh legs on almost every series of downs. As someone else posted this team is deep on talent, so I think it gives coach Rash an opportunity to spell kids to keep them fresh, a luxury they did not have last year, I think we are going to start seeing the seeds of back to back undefeated freshmen teams start to bear fruit, if nothing else I think they will be fun to watch.
  9. Looks as though the Tigers are loading up for another run at Mayfield, is this their year, I guess time will tell. I believe they scrimmage Conner this Friday so all the inexperienced Tigers will get an opportunity to grow while facing one of the best QB's in the country. I look for BW to be more balanced on offense and do everything they can to protect their LB's on defense, which IMO will be their weakness on the defensive side of the ball during the early part of the season. Good luck Tigers, hope to see you at WKU this year.
  10. I will have to agree, Scott has the horses to be very good this year, but I have seen what is in the pipeline....not trying to disrespect any of the kids who are putting in a lot of hard work, but the pantry is a little bare if you know what I mean.
  11. Congrats Evan, the Hilltoppers are an up and coming program, good luck to you.
  12. Congrats to Jason, I know a lot of folks were surprised that he hung up the football cleats to concentrate on baseball, glad that it paid off for him, fine young man.
  13. No, you might be kidding yourself, Stringer wont be the bell cow, not just yet, but the Oline will get after you
  14. Obviously I think BW will do very well, but not to take anything away from the young players who they are going to count on this year, but BW undefeated freshmen team could have beaten their first two playoff opponents, they did well against Frankfort, but for the most part looked like a lost ball in high weeds against Mayfield...and that is who they have to beat to get to the championship game. They are loaded with young talent, but you never know how those players are going to react when the lights come on in a big game...for example the young QB's fumble against Mayfield before halftime inside the 10 yard line, he wasn't even touched...IMO early growing pains and when they jell they will be fine. I like Thomas, Studer and Stringer as well....just going to throw a name out there...watch for Talley, from what I hear he looks great.
  15. I couldn't agree more, I have seen kids that weren't considered "fast" outrun everyone on a football field on many occasions, and conversely, I have seen some kids who were supposed to be burners run down. I think there is a definite difference between game speed and just running a 40.
  16. I think you have to put Mayfield at the top of the heap considering they are the defending champs, I have heard a lot of good things about Raceland and Russellville, heard they will both be very good this year. Beechwood is young and talented, their success will depend on kids stepping on to the stage and not letting it overwhelm them.
  17. Dillon is really fast, but I have to scratch my head on 4.38
  18. Would love to see that, I think it is pretty safe to say that Highlands and Trinity top the list.
