Unfortunately, Just playing high school baseball will normally not put you on a college's radar . College coaches are busy with their own teams during this time. A good traveling summer team that plays a very competitive schedule and attending showcases like PBR is almost a must if a kid is serious about playing after high school. Did this player reach out to any colleges ? Even if money is an issue, just getting to a computer and filling out college team questionnaires will get some responses.

I would agree Blake Roderscheimer (sp) was a very good catcher. Current High school catcher Max Sims (Conner)would be at the top of my list for catchers with great mechanics. He is a big kid with a nice bat.

The West had the fire power on the mound from the 33rd with Friend , Purnell and Zig , even Padgett came in and looked good. Great Time watching these seniors for the last time!

I heard the All Star game is on Monday night at Dixie. Does anyone have times of the games? Rosters? Is it 9th region only or is it NKY with SK and Scott included?

I don't think I follow what you're trying to say. Are you with History and believe that because a couple of Beechwood players play for one of the premier summer team organizations in the country that is the reason they lost the regional game or you hold the coaches accountable or Highlands was just a little better last night. Earlier in the year I think Doty got beat up by Beechwood . Should we start protesting against the Ky Colonels? If you were confused what I was saying, I was making fun of History for bringing up Midland.

i agree with History, what was the Highlands coach thinking by bringing in a Midland player to close out the game. I didn't think he was playing like a good teammate. Also , i can't believe the 9 region coaches would vote a self centered , non team minded Midland player as the POY.😂😂😂.

Sims will be a senior next season

Ryle will be in the same boat as Boone was this season . They started the season with 12 seniors, lost one to injury, but had only 3 that played full time in 2015. They had pitching but the defense and offense just couldn't get it going this season.I think Cooper will improve over this season, but I don't think the talent will come close to Conner. With Zig and Purnell gone, Craddock might be the new king of the hill in the 33rd and he will have a big plus with Sims behind the plate for him !!! Max can sell more strikes than any other catcher in the 9th .

One thing is for sure, Conner will be the team to beat in the 33rd and could be the 9th region favorite next season . Ryle and Boone were senior heavy this season. Cooper played a lot of younger kids, but no match-up of Conner's class of 2017.

The Bird's odds of winning are a lot better than they were a couple of months ago. Beechwood has had problems when facing good pitching the last several years in the regionals . Too close to call.

Colonels have been up and down all year. Wasn't sure how this game would play out. Have the Birds sent their thank-you card to Ryle's coaches yet?

With Zig, Raiders maybe wouldn't had to hit as much. We will never know. I think the coaches saw Beechwood throw their #4 in the game before and it worked, but St. Henry was just a little better than Beechwood's opponent , IMO.

St. Henry pulls the upset. Somebody forgot to tell Ryle's coaches round 2 is not a guarantee. Never look past anyone ! Congrats to the Cru!

Conner gets it done with Craddock on the mound. Tweet has him with 12 K's. Conner might be on the verge of something. Very impressed with Cougars 2017 class. Besides Craddock showing out tonight, Max Sims - I feel is the best catcher in the 33rd and Tim Sherman has shown some nice defense and a big bat. Congrats to Conner !!!!

Congrats to Jaren !!! I have seen a lot of high school players and he was the best hitter I have watched. Big Future !!!

Congrats to Ryle !!! Shoutout to Boone's 11 seniors. What a great bunch of kids. You will be greatly missed !!! Hope the best for wherever life takes you. It is always hard watching these games, knowing it is probably the last game for most of the seniors. Go Rebels !!!!!

First round, this Sunday at Cooper. Boone vs. Ryle at 1:30 and Conner vs Cooper has the second game.

33rd District : As always, the 33rd is probable the hardest district to get out of in the 9th Region.The biggest match up will be #1 Ryle vs # 4 Boone. Their district game ended in a 1-0 win for Ryle. Only run was unearned and scored on a mental mistake by Boone. Look for this game to be a battle. 2nd game will be #2 Conner vs. #3 Cooper. - Conner has been hot, but like all of the 33rd teams, Cooper has pitching that can cause trouble. 33rd is filled with some talented seniors who will not lay down easy. Good luck to all of the teams.
