Some of the best players in the country will be at UC starting sunday for the Adidas 5 Classic. Lot of kids from Kentucky will be playing. Interesting first game matchup has a rematch of the Kentucky 17u aau finals as the Derek Smith All Stars play the Shining Stars for the third time, with both teams having one win against the other. Scheduled for Sunday at 8am, should be a good game. Derek Smith then plays the Las Vegas Prospects at 4pm Sunday

This is all about the KHSAA showing everyone who the Sheriff is in Town. They didn't like the newspaper article and their penalty is to put the parties involved through as much angst as possible. I see this dragging on until about December, and after extracting their pound of flesh, they will declare both Euton and Jackson eligible- if Euton and Jackson stay in the fire. 17u Semi-finals ds17 vs shining stars romes shining stars stowers vs HLB This tournament has not been as easy for the DS17 as BG predicted. DS has 4 kids at prom tonight so could be interesting test Sunday. Seems to be a Shining Stars team on every corner. :scared:

THE DS16u team beat them by around 5

Final was 76-72, very good game in overtime. DS has one of their bigs out with a sore knee and Shining Stars played well. I think Penney led them in scoring with about 22. Look for a rematch on Sunday

The GRC 9th grade class maybe the best group of 9th graders I have ever seen at one school. My guess is they will win a state championship before they are through:thumb: Also, very well mannered. A great bunch of kids

The DS 17u team went 5-1 at the Adidas May Classic this weekend winning the Silver division title. Beat win was probally a twenty point win over the Southern Cal All Stars 2 and a one point win in the Championhip game today over Indiana Premier Select. Ethan Faulkner hit the game winner after the DS team came back from a 7 point deficit in the fourth quarter. Andy Donovan finished the tournament with back to back Double Doubles to help make up the loss of Richie Phares this weekend who was enjoying the Scott County Prom:thumb: Good tuneup for this coming weekend! Charlotte Court and the Shining Stars I believe were playing each other for the title in the Bronze Division. Can anyone tell me how that one turned out? Shining Stars were also "promming it" this weekend and were pretty short handed so my guess is Charlotte Court took that game.

Clark is a top notch kid who doesn't deserve some of the flack he gets on the internet. I think his best basketball is ahead of him. Austin Peay gives him a great chance to get in the big dance every year. Congrats and good luck!:thumb:

Adidas May classic in Bloomington on 509 is a good one, also, the state AAU at K.B.A. is on 5-16.

I agree, I thought Sorrell had one of the top outings on the Ky team. He is surprisingly strong and can score, handles the ball well in transition good choice for the team

Its amazing (and refreshing) how Rose Hill reacts when they lose a player to another school for whatever reason. They simply wish the player the best of luck and continue to root for them. Obviously, Rose Hill has been damaged athletically by this move more than any other school, yet they are not the ones complaining. Could it be that they are truly more interested in the success of the kids than other schools? What is it that sets the Rose Hill fans apart? Somthing to think about But you have to admire their support of their kids no matter where they end up:thumb:
