These are pretty good in my eyes. No top 5 teams potentially facing each other in the first round.

Week Ten Review: What started as a two team battle for the region 1 championship at the beginning of the year has turned into at least a four teams now. McCracken County and Marshall County still lead the way, but Murray and Paducah Tilghman have pushed their way into the conversation. Other teams such as Calloway County, Mayfield and Graves County could pull big upsets in the post season. Some big games are on tap this week in Region 1, so pay attention! Here are the week 10 rankings : 1. McCracken County – BGP #8 Season Record: 21-5 McCracken won two games to bring their winning streak to 14 games, but then had the streak snapped in a great game versus BGP#9 Collins 63-59 on a neutral court. Tough loss for the Mustangs, but they have some important games coming up, specifically against Paducah Tilghman and Murray. They are the favorite going into the Region 1 tournament, but will have some stiff competition. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 16-9 Marshall extends their winning streak to 9 games now after defeating Graves County in a closer than expected game. The Marshalls won at Graves 56-51 behind 25 points from Zion Harmon. They will play two big region 2 games this week versus Murray at home and then at Calloway County. Marshall defeated Calloway by 8 a couple weeks ago at home. They defeated Murray by 14 back in mid December. Both should be close games. 3. Murray Season Record: 21-4 The Tigers have been playing great basketball this season and it continued this week with wins over McKenzie (TN) and Calloway County. Marshall County stands in the way this week. Murray will travel to Marshall County for the rematch. Murray is playing much better ball than they were in the first game, but so is Marshall. Should be a great #2 vs #3 matchup. By the way, McCracken County is looming in the near future 4. Paducah Tilghman Season Record: 16-8 The Blue Tornado won both their games this week verses Graves County and St. Mary. They have proven than can beat anyone in region 1 not named McCracken or Marshall. They have a chance to change that on Friday when they travel across town to McCracken. They will need to figure out a way to keep Sivils in check if they want that win. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 15-10 The Lakers had a up and down week. They had two hurdles in Mayfield and Murray, they were able to escape with a win at Mayfield 63-56, but 3 days later couldn’t come away with a victory against Murray, losing 45-38. Three of their final four games of the season are very tough. They play McCracken and Marshall this week and then Paducah Tilghman next week, brutal. 6. Mayfield Season Record:15-7 Mayfield lost their first game of the week to Calloway County 63-56. They were able to rebound and defeat Ballard Memorial easily a few days later. They will be favored in all but one game the rest of the regular season including this week’s games with Fulton County and Graves County. 7. Carlisle County Season Record: 15-9 The Comets find themselves in the midst of a five game winning streak after defeating Fulton County, Fulton City, and Community Christian this week. They will play Livingston Central and Ballard Memorial this week, a great chance to extend that streak to 7 games. 8. St. Mary Season Record: 12-13 The Vikings have had a rough go it the last two three weeks as their losing streak was extended to 6 games and 8 of their last 9. They were handed defeat by Dawson Springs, Paducah Tilghman, and Lyon County. They will try and stop the bleeding against Fulton County before a nightmare game at McCracken County. 9. Graves County Season Record:8-17 The Eagles have played much better lately, but just not good enough to win. They lost to McCracken by 6, and Marshall by 5, and had it close versus Paducah Tilghman for much of the game before bowing out by 13. They can win out the rest of the season if they play well. 10. Fulton City Season Record: 9-10 Fulton City lost to Halls (TN) and Carlisle County before defeating Clarksburg (TN) handily. They will play Dresden (TN) before a crosstown rematch with Fulton County on Friday, and then Graves County on Saturday. 11. Fulton County Season Record: 10-11 The Pilots lost two games this week to Lake County (TN) and Carlisle County before defeating Hickman County by 6 points. They will play St. Mary, Mayfield, and crosstown rival Fulton City this week. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 7-14 The Falcons split the games this past week defeating Livingston Central while losing to Fulton County. They will play Christian Fellowship this week before heading to Tennessee for two games. 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 3-21 The Bombers have now lost 8 games after playing Mayfield and Livingston Central this week. They have upcoming games at Graves County and Carlisle County. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 1-23 The Warriors tough season continues after losses to Crittenden County and Carlisle County. They play 4 games this week with St. Francis and Portland Christian as their best chance for victories. Christian Fellowship* Season Record: 15-9 The Eagles lost two close games this week, one to Livingston Central by 5 and one to Fort Campbell by 1 in overtime. They were able to rebound to defeat Evangel Christian. They play Hickman County and Clarksville Christian this coming week. *Does not compete in the Region 1 tournament.

Week Ten Review: Madisonville-North Hopkins is a monster and they seem to be clicking on all cylinders. They are without a doubt a top 10 team in the state with a legit shot at winning it all. Henderson County looks like it has overtaken Webster as the number 2 team, but will have to prove that this week before its official. Here are the week 10 rankings: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #8 Season record: 23-3 Madisonville-North Hopkins keeps on trucking along plowing through whoever they play. This past week, the Maroons dispatched Owensboro Catholic by 40 points, Caldwell County by almost 20 points and an eye opening win against BGP #15 Butler by 20 points. The Maroons have rattled off 12 wins since their loss against John Hardin in early January. They will play 3 home games to finish the season including a game Saturday against University Heights. 2. Webster County Season Record: 19-4 Webster County lost their only game they played this week. They took a 75-70 defeat at home to Lyon County. This marks their second loss in a row to a region 2 opponent. The Trojans seem to have plateaued and a few of the region 2 teams have caught up to them. It will be interesting game on Thursday at Henderson County. They will play Livingston Central this week as well. For now, they will stay in the number 2 spot. 3. Henderson County Season Record: 15-10 Henderson split their games this week winning against Grayson County, but losing in a heartbreaker at Union County 68-66 in overtime. The Colonels have no room to dwell on the loss as they have a big game against Webster County on Thursday. If they can pull out the win, they will take over the number 2 spot in the region rankings. 4. University Heights Season Record:10-9 The Blazers have not played since their 19 point win over Hopkinsville. They will play Christian County on Tuesday this week before going to Fort Campbell and then Madisonville-North Hopkins. If they play their best game of the year, they may have a chance for an upset, but it’s a long shot. 5. Lyon County Season Record: 16-9 The Lyons look real good this week as they took down the region’s number 2 team, Webster County, 75-70. Travis Perry led Lyon County with 23 points and Jackson Shoulders added 16. They have three games this week, Hopkins County Central, Union County, and Clarksville (TN). 6. Christian County Season Record: 8-16 Christian County season has taken a turn for the worst since we entered 2020. They only have 3 wins so far, and 8 losses, including 2 this past week to Warren Central and Taylor County. They hope to turn their fortunes around against Fort Campbell, University Heights, and Marshall County. They will only be favored in one of those games. 7. Hopkinsville Season Record: 10-15 Hopkinsville split their games this week, defeating Trigg County 69-53, but losing to Warren Central 79-38. They will play Muhlenberg County and Union County this week. There is a good chance the Tigers do not win another game this year. 8. Crittenden County Season Record: 12-13 Crittenden rebounded from a tough couple of weeks to win both their games. They defeated Community Christian and Dawson Springs. They will play Caldwell County and St. Mary this week. 9. Caldwell County Season Record: 9-14 The Tigers lost to Madisonville this week extending their losing streak to 5 games. They hope to rebound against an improving Hopkins County Central team on Monday before hosting 3 games against Crittenden, Dawson Springs, and Trigg. Could be a good week for the Tigers. 10. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 7-16 The Storm easily defeated Livingston Central by 24 points, then turned around and laid an egg against Trinity (Whitesville) losing by 16 points. They will have 2 games this week to make up for it. They will play Caldwell County and Lyon County this week. 11. Union County Season Record: 9-14 Union County is hard to figure out. They pulled a big upset in overtime against Henderson County, then turned around and lost by 50 points to a 3 win Apollo team. This Union team took a big hit when they lost 3 starters at the beginning of 2020 including star sophomore Kale Gaither. 12. Trigg County Season Record: 10-15 The Wildcats took losses to both Hopkinsville and Hancock County this week. They will go again at Dawson Springs and Caldwell County next. 13. Dawson Springs Season Record: 10-14 The Panthers defeated both St. Mary and Frederick Fraize this week, however they lost to Crittenden County. They play Community Christian, Trigg County, McLean County and Caldwell County in a busy week. 14. Fort Campbell Season Record: 7-17 Fort Campbell snapped their losing streak with a 66-65 overtime win at Christian Fellowship. They play Christian County and University Heights this week. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 3-22 The Cardinals had their first winning week of the season defeating both Christian Fellowship and Ballard Memorial. They will play Carlisle County and Webster County this week.

Week Nine Review: Murray and Marshall County continue to improve, while McCracken has a 13 game winning streak, although the game against Graves was too close for comfort and is a reminder that teams have to play their best week in and week out. Here is week 9 review: 1. McCracken County – BGP #7 Season Record: 19-4 McCracken has now extended their winning streak to 13 games. They defeated Carlisle County and St Mary pretty easily, but Graves County gave them a serious fight. The Mustangs did come away with a 66-60 victory at home, but it shows that McCracken hasn’t wrapped things up yet, even though they have not lost a game in the region yet. They will play Massac County (IL), Cairo (IL), and then a very big game against Collins on Saturday. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 15-9 Marshall extends their winning streak to 8 games as they easily defeated Caldwell County and Warren East and pulled out a close game against Paducah Tilghman. They seem to be back on track but do have some critical games coming up against Graves County, Murray, and Calloway County 3. Murray Season Record: 19-4 The Tigers continue to impress as they won 2 games this week against St. Mary and more importantly Mayfield. They have won 8 of 9 and look to be a team that could pull the upset and win the region. They have a big game against Marshall County next week and then McCracken County on Feb 17. 4. Paducah Tilghman Season Record: 14-8 The Blue Tornado won two of three games this week, defeating Mayfield and Union County. The one game they really wanted to win, they fell just short, losing to Marshall County 65-56. They will play Graves County and St. Mary this week hoping to hold on to that 4th position in the rankings. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 14-9 The Lakers split games this week, losing to Graves County 58-36 in a surprise score, and then defeating a solid Lyon County team by 14. They will play Mayfield and Murray this next week. Two important games for the Lakers. 6. Mayfield Season Record:14-6 Mayfield has hit their first tough patch this season, and have lost 3 of 5 including games to Paducah Tilghman and Murray this week. They were able to defeat Crittenden County pretty handily. They will play Calloway County and Ballard Memorial this week. 7. Carlisle County Season Record: 12-9 The Comets lost big to McCracken County, but bounced back nicely against Ballard Memorial and Dongola (IL). They will play Fulton City, Fulton County, and Community Christian next, all possible wins. 8. St. Mary Season Record: 12-10 The Vikings lost both games this week. They dropped games to both Murray and McCracken County, which was expected. They will try to get back on track with a winnable game at Dawson Springs before heading to Paducah Tilghman and then Lyon County 9. Graves County Season Record:8-14 The Eagles pulled a fairly decent upset against Calloway County. Maybe more surprising was the score (58-36). They followed that up with a very close game against McCracken County where they only lost by 6. They will play Paducah Tilghman and Marshall County next…tough stretch for the Eagles here. 10. Fulton City Season Record: 8-8 Fulton City split their games this week defeating Hickman County but dropping their game against South Fulton (TN) in overtime. They play Halls (TN) and Carlisle County this week. 11. Fulton County Season Record: 9-11 The Pilots defeated both Ballard Memorial and Community Christian, but were unable to top Cairo (IL). They will be back on the floor against Lake County (TN), Carlisle County, and Hickman County this week. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 6-13 The Falcons won 3 of their 4 games this week, defeating Community Christian, Ballard Memorial, and Livingston Central. The only game they lost was to Fulton City 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 3-19 The Bombers lost all three games this week and their losing streak is now at 6. They will attempt to break that streak this week against Mayfield and Livingston Central. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 1-21 The Warriors couldn’t get close to pulling out another victory this week, losing 4 more games. They will play Crittenden County and Carlisle County this week. Christian Fellowship* Season Record: 12-7 The Eagles winning streak was snapped by Livingston Central 54-49. They did win two games before that against Community Christian and Carroll Academy (TN). They play Fort Campbell and Evangel Christian this week. *Does not compete in the Region 1 tournament

Week Nine Review: Madisonville-North Hopkins continues to shine and is no doubt the best team in region 2. Really they are the only team in region 2 that has a chance for a state title. Webster seems to have lost some ground to some other teams, specifically Henderson County which seems to be doing very well now. Hopkins County Central has also started to make headway in the region as the rest of the teams are struggling in many ways. Here are the week 9 rankings: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #8 Season record: 20-3 The Maroons won both games they had this week, both away games. They defeated Owensboro 82-69 and then Union County 80-41. They have 2 home games this week against Owensboro Catholic and Caldwell County and then a big game against BGP #17 Butler at Warren Central. 2. Webster County Season Record: 19-3 Webster County defeated Caldwell County in a close game 75-71, however they lost to Henderson County 66-56. While this loss is nothing to panic about, some alarms may be sounding because teams seem to be figuring out the Trojans as evidence in the very close games against Crittenden, Hopkinsville, and Caldwell County. They will play Lyon County and Union County next, we will see if they can rebound. 3. Henderson County Season Record: 14-9 Henderson won both their games this week against Davies County and Webster County. That is 4 in a row for the Colonels. The biggest win is the 66-56 overtime win at Webster County. Coach Smithhart has Henderson playing very well and they have a good chance of finishing very strong. They will play Union County and Hopkinsville this week. 4. University Heights Season Record:10-9 The Blazers only had one game this past week, and they soundly defeated Hopkinsville 70-51. They have a game on Feb 8 but an opponent hasn’t been named yet. They will play Christian County following that game. UHA has won 6 of their last 7 games with the only loss coming to Murray. 5. Lyon County Season Record: 14-9 The Lyons won 3 of 4 this week. They were victorious against Dawson Springs, Trigg County, and Caldwell County, however they lost to Calloway County 64-50. They have a big game at Webster County on Tuesday, which could be a signature game for them. 6. Christian County Season Record: 8-14 Christian County lost Owensboro Catholic and Lincoln County this week, but were able to defeat Fort Campbell. They have really struggled lately losing 6 of their last 8. They play Warren Central and Taylor County next. 7. Hopkinsville Season Record: 9-14 Hopkinsville lost to University Heights which marks the first time in a decade that the Tigers lost all four games to their crosstown rivals. Their season continues to be a struggle for Hopkinsville. They will play Trigg County, Warren Central, and Henderson County this week. 8. Crittenden County Season Record: 10-13 Crittenden had a tough week after having some promising wins. They lost to Trigg County, Union County and big to Mayfield. They were able to pull out a win against Livingston Central. They will play Community Christian and Dawson Springs this week. 9. Caldwell County Season Record: 9-13 The Tigers lost all three games this week, however they were the underdogs in all 3. Marshall County, Webster County, and Lyon County all defeated Caldwell County as they have dropped 4 of 5 games. They will try to reverse fortunes against Hopkins County Central before going to Madisonville. 10. Union County Season Record: 8-13 Union County defeated Crittenden County, but lost their next two games to Madisonville and Paducah Tilghman. They will play Henderson County, Webster County, and Apollo next. 11. Trigg County Season Record: 10-13 The Wildcats split their games this week, defeating Crittenden County in overtime, but losing to Lyon County by 15. They will play Hopkinsville, St. Mary, and Hancock County this week. 12. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 6-15 The Storm have definitely made a nice turnaround this season. They have won 6 of their last 8 games, including two wins this week against McLean County and Dawson Springs. They will play Caldwell County and Livingston Central this week as well as Trinity (Whitesville). 13. Dawson Springs Season Record: 8-13 The Panthers lost to Hopkins County Central 73-67. They will play Crittenden County and Frederick Fraize this week. 14. Fort Campbell Season Record: 6-16 Fort Campbell’s woes continue as they lost all 4 games this week. That is 8 in a row and 15 of 16. The Falcons will play Montgomery Central (TN) and Christian Fellowship this week in trying to get back on track. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 1-21 The Cardinals finally snapped their losing streak by defeating Fort Campbell 58-55. They then lost two close games to Crittenden County and Hickman County. They will play Christian Fellowship and Hopkins Central next.

Week Eight Review: Its all about Madisonville-North Hopkins and Webster County. Everyone else is far behind. Teams are getting closer, but not enough to pull down either team. Here are the week 8 rankings: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #8 Season record: 18-3 The Maroons had an uncomfortable win at Lyon County 71-64, but easily defeated both Dawson Springs and Hopkins County Central to extend their winning streak to 7 games. They will have a tough matchup at Owensboro before heading to Union County to close out the week. 2. Webster County Season Record: 18-2 Webster County breezed past both McLean County and Union County on their way to their 5 straight win and 8 of their last 9. They will play at home against Caldwell County and then Henderson County. The Henderson game should be very interesting. 3. University Heights Season Record:10-9 The Blazers only had one game this past week, the first round of the All A State Tournament against region 1 foe Murray. It did not go well for anyone on the team. UHA only scored 33 points in a poor showing and a 27 point loss. The team will try to rebound as they travel to Tiger gym to face Hopkinsville next. 4. Lyon County Season Record: 11-8 The Lyons gave Madisonville-North Hopkins all they could handle, but still fell short 71-64. They took the loss out on Ballard Memorial scoring 100 points since Dec of 2008 and beating the Bombers by 28. They will play Dawson Springs, Trigg County, Caldwell County, and Calloway County in a very busy week of play. 5. Henderson County Season Record: 12-9 Henderson won both their games against Indiana teams this past week and that will set up a big game against Webster County on Friday. They also will play Daviess County this week as well. 6. Christian County Season Record: 7-12 Christian County lost to Bowling Green in a not so close game, but then routed their crosstown rival Hopkinsville 67-52. The up and down year continues for the Colonels. They play Owensboro Catholic, Fort Campbell, and Lincoln County this week. 7. Hopkinsville Season Record: 9-13 Hopkinsville easily defeated Fort Campbell, but then suffered an ugly loss to their rival Christian County. They will have to play University Heights at home on Friday and try to keep from going 0-4 to their intown rival schools. 8. Crittenden County Season Record: 9-10 Crittenden defeated Fort Campbell in a close game but couldn’t hang on with Paducah Tilghman from region 1. The Tornado defeated the Rockets 78-60. Crittenden will play Trigg County, Union County, Livingston Central, and Mayfield this week. 9. Caldwell County Season Record: 9-10 The Tigers defeated Trigg County 82-73, but turned around and lost at McLean County 78-63. Things don’t look good for the Tigers in their next 3 games, Marshall County, Webster County, and Lyon County. 10. Union County Season Record: 7-11 Union County lost to Hopkins County Central in overtime, and then lost big to Webster County. They recovered a bit by winning a close game at home to Trigg County. The win snapped a 6 game skid. 11. Trigg County Season Record: 9-12 The Wildcats had a very tough week losing 3 games, all of them less than 10 points and could have been won. Losses to Caldwell County, Dawson Springs, and Union County dropped them from their .500 record. They play Lyon County and Crittenden County next. 12. Dawson Springs Season Record: 7-11 The Panthers have a two game winning streak after defeating both Trigg County and Frederick Fraize. They will play Lyon County, Community Christian, and Hopkins County Central next. 13. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 4-15 Not sure what to make of this Storm team. After losing their first 13 games, they have now won 4 of 6 and that includes a big upset of Union County in overtime, at Union. They did get waxed by Madisonville, but that was expected. They will play McLean County and Dawson Springs next. 14. Fort Campbell Season Record: 6-12 Fort Campbell’s woes continue as they are going the opposite direction of Hopkins Central, they have lost 4 in a row and 11 of their last 12. They hope to stop the bleeding against Livingston Central this week. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 0-19 The Cardinals losing streak stands at 19 games after losing to Christian Fellowship. They will try again to snap this losing streak against Fort Campbell and Crittenden County.

Week Eight Review: Murray was the star this week for region 1, making it to the semi-finals of the All A State Tournament, losing in overtime. They have shown they can be a cinderella team in region 1. Of course McCracken and Marshall both have more talent and are expected to be the teams to beat. Here is week 8review: 1. McCracken County – BGP #8 Season Record: 16-4 McCracken took a break this week from action and get rested up for the final push to the district and region tournaments. They will play three games this week against Carlisle County, St. Mary, and Graves County. Jackson Sivills is pacing the Mustangs with 22.1 ppg this season. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 12-9 Marshall extends their winning streak to 5 games as they easily defeated Fulton City and pulled out a close game against Calloway County at home 69-61. They will play Caldwell County, Paducah Tilghman, and Warren East this week. Zion Harmon continues to lead the Marshalls with 25.1 ppg. 3. Murray Season Record: 17-4 The Tigers blasted University Heights in the first round of the All A State Tournament, then they defeated Metcalfe County, and finally lost in overtime in the semifinals to Frankfort 49-47 in overtime. They will play St. Mary and Mayfield this week. Grant Whitaker leads Murray with 19.1 ppg. 4. Paducah Tilghman Season Record: 12-7 The Blue Tornado won their only game this week against Crittenden County 78-60. They will play three tough games this week against Marshall County, Mayfield, and Union County. Micheal Laster is averaging 17.1 ppg to lead Tilghman. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 13-8 The Lakers split games this week, defeating St. Mary 55-45, but losing to Marshall County 69-61. Graves County and Lyon County are both away games for Calloway this week. Chandler Steele is leading the Lakers with 14.4 ppg. 6. Mayfield Season Record:13-4 Mayfield defeated St Mary by 7 in an away victory. They have two tough matchups this week hosting Paducah Tilghman and going to Murray. We will find out how improved the Cardinals really are. DeAngelo Brooks is the leading scorer for Mayfield with 15 ppg. 7. Carlisle County Season Record: 10-8 The Comets squeaked out an overtime with at home against Fulton County 59-56. This game wasn’t expected to be that close. They have an uphill battle at McCracken County before traveling to Ballard Memorial later in the week. Reese Anderson is the leading scorer at 16 ppg. 8. St. Mary Season Record: 12-8 The Vikings lost two of the three games they played this past week. The win came against Community Christian, however they suffered losses in close games to Calloway County and Mayfield. Tough matchups this wee at home versus McCracken County and Murray. They will lean on Colin Doss who leads them in scoring at 16 ppg. 9. Graves County Season Record:7-14 The Eagles finally got back in the win column during the Superman Classic in Illinois. They won 2 of 3 games there. Back to Kentucky now, Graves will play Calloway County and McCracken County. Seth Thomas is leading the Eagles with 14 ppg. 10. Fulton City Season Record: 7-7 Fulton City defeated Hickman County by 4, but lost to Christian Fellowship by 7. They will play South Fulton (TN) and Hickman County again this week. Brennen Walker leads with 17 ppg. 11. Fulton County Season Record: 7-8 The Pilots split their games this week defeating Hickman County but losing in overtime to Carlisle County in what would have been a nice upset. They will play Ballard Memorial and Community Christian This week. Caleb Kimble leads the Pilots with 16.2 ppg. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 4-12 The Falcons played both Fulton County and Fulton City this week, losing to both. They play Community Christian, Ballard Memorial, Fulton City, and Livingston Central in a very busy week. Jackson Midyett paces the Falcons with 20 ppg. 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 3-16 The Bombers lost to both Christian Fellowship and Lyon County this past week. They will play Hickman County, Fulton County, and Carlisle County. Dequin Donlow is the leading scorer at 18.4 ppg. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 1-17 The Warriors couldn’t get another win this week, losing two games. The play Hickman County, Dawson Springs, Fulton County, and Christian Fellowship in a 4 game week. Ty Wilson is averaging 11 ppg. Christian Fellowship* Season Record: 12-7 The Eagles are looking better and better as the season progresses. They have won 5 games in a row including games against Ballard Memorial, Livingston Central, and Fulton City. They would be ranked in the middle of the pack in region 1 if they played in the tournament. Andrew Allen leads 4 players who averaged double digit points with 13.5 ppg. *Does not compete in the Region 1 tournament.

Week Seven Review: McCracken County dominated the number Tilghman further separating themselves from the rest of the region. Murray gets back on track and looks to continue to improve as does Marshall County. The last few weeks of the season should be good as team ready themselves for district and region tournaments. Here is week 7 review: 1. McCracken County – BGP #8 Season Record: 16-4 McCracken crushed Christian County 65-32 and then turned around and smacked Paducah Tilghman 58-39. The Mustangs have now won 9 straight games and seem to be getting stronger each week. In January, McCracken has won all but one of its games (Marshall Co) in blowout fashion. The only team that looks like it may be able to stop the Mustangs is Marshall County, and that is only if they get their act together. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 10-9 Marshall had their first undefeated week of the season going 3-0 and finally get back above .500. They defeated Graves County and Fulton City in blowouts, and defeated Prodigy Prep (FL) 79-67. This was a team they lost to earlier this year at Hoopfest. They play a tough game against Calloway County this week. 3. Murray Season Record: 15-3 The Tigers didn’t miss a beat after having their 8 game winning streak snapped a couple weeks ago. They defeated St. Mary and Mayfield this week to extend a new winning streak to 3 games. They also won the 1st Region All A Classic and will advance to play at the state tournament classic at EKU this week. 4. Paducah Tilghman Season Record: 11-7 The Blue Tornado lost big to McCracken County 58-39. Tilghman looked pretty good in the first half, but couldn’t keep pace with the Mustangs in the second half. They will host Crittenden County this week before a big matchup with an improving Mayfield team next week. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 12-7 The Lakers played tough, but couldn’t beat Lexington Catholic at the 2A State Championship. They kept it close for a while, but bowed out 70-58. They play St. Mary and Marshall County this week. 6. Mayfield Season Record:12-4 Mayfield defeated Carlisle County in round 2 of the 1st Region All “A” Classic. However, they lost to Murray in the Championship 67-59. They will play St. Mary this week before a two big games against Tilghman and a rematch with Murray. 7. Carlisle County Season Record: 9-8 The Comets defeated Ballard Memorial in the first round of the 1st Region All “A” Classic. They then lost to Mayfield 61-51. They will play Fulton County this week. 8. St. Mary Season Record: 11-6 The Vikings lost the only game this week to eventual champion Murray in the second round of the All A Classic for region 1. They play Calloway County and Mayfield this week. 9. Graves County Season Record:5-13 The Eagles struggles continue in their loss to Marshall County, that put their losing streak at 4 games and 8 of their last 9. They will go out of state hoping to stop the bleeding in the Superman Classic in Illinois this week. 10. Fulton City Season Record: 6-5 Fulton City won their only game this week defeating Joppa-Maple Grove (IL). They play Marshall County and Hickman County this week as well as Christian Fellowship. They can win 2 of those 3. 11. Fulton County Season Record: 6-7 The Pilots did not play this week, but pick up action at home versus Hickman County before traveling to Carlisle County. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 4-10 The Falcons did not play this week either, but play Fulton City and Fulton County this week. 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 3-14 The Bombers lost the only game they played this week, 59-36 to Carlisle County in the 1st Region All A Classic. They will play Christian Fellowship and Lyon County this week. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 1-15 The Warriors snapped their season long losing streak this week! They defeated Pleasant View Christian (TN) 50-42. They then lost to Trigg County later in the week, but they got that important first win! Christian Fellowship* Season Record: 9-7 The Eagles defeated both opponents this week, both of them were from Tennessee. They pick up KY play against Ballard Memorial, Livingston Central, and Fulton City this week. *Does not compete in the Region 1 tournament.

Week Seven Review: Madisonville has everyone else looking up at them so they have a target on their back. It would still be quite an upset for anyone in the region to defeat them this year, however some teams are starting to make moves. University Heights has looked much better and Henderson County has played teams tough. Webster County continues to win and looks to be the Maroons toughest opponent. Here are the week 7 rankings: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #8 Season record: 15-3 The Maroons get their fourth win in a row by defeating Henderson County 56-48. While the game was much closer than most expected, Madisonville comes away with a good victory in a tough place to play. They will play Lyon County, Dawson Springs, and Hopkins County Central this week. Lyon will give them the most difficult game, but all three should be easy wins. 2. Webster County Season Record: 16-2 Webster County was able to win all three games they played this week. They easily defeated Apollo and Evansville Christian, and pulled out a very tough game at home against Hopkinsville 68-64. They will play McLean County and Union County this week. 3. University Heights Season Record:10-8 The Blazers continue to try turn their season around as they have now won 5 straight including 3 wins in the 2nd region All A Classic by defeating Crittenden County, Lyon County, and Caldwell County. They will advance to the State All A Classic for the 5th straight year. 4. Lyon County Season Record: 10-7 The Lyons easily defeated Dawson Springs in the 2nd region All A Classic, however they were pounded by University Heights 78-58. They will play Madisonville-North Hopkins and Ballard Memorial this week. 5. Henderson County Season Record: 10-9 Henderson split their two games this week losing to Madisonville-North Hopkins in a closer than expected game. They were able to defeat Union County 62-56. They now will play two teams from Indiana this week. 6. Christian County Season Record: 6-11 Christian County have now lost 4 of 5 games after losing to both McCracken County and South Warren, both away games. Things do not get easier for the Colonels as they play Hopkinsville at home and go to Bowling Green. 7. Hopkinsville Season Record: 8-12 Hopkinsville finally was able to snap their 6 game losing streak by defeating South Warren 70-74. They will try and keep that up with games against Fort Campbell and Christian County this week. 8. Union County Season Record: 6-9 Union County lost their only game this week to Henderson County 62-56. This is the Braves 5th loss in a row. They have a good chance to reverse the slide when they play Hopkins County Central. 9. Crittenden County Season Record: 7-9 Crittenden lost their only game to University Heights in the All A Classic. It wasn’t close at all as they went down 72-31. They will play Hardin County (IL), Fort Campbell, and Paducah Tilghman this weke. 10. Caldwell County Season Record: 8-9 The Tigers had a good week easily winning their first two games in the All A Classic, and falling in a close game to University Heights 69-61. They look to continue their success as they play Trigg County and McLean County. 11. Trigg County Season Record: 9-9 The Wildcats defeated Evansville Christian (IN) and Community Christian while losing to Hopkins County Central. They play Caldwell County, Dawson Springs, and Union County this week. 12. Dawson Springs Season Record: 5-10 The Panthers lost by 24 points to Lyon County in the All A Classic in their only game this week. They play Madisonville-North Hopkins, Trigg County, and Frederick Fraize this week. 13. Fort Campbell Season Record: 6-10 Fort Campbell lost their only game this week which was in the All A Classic to Caldwell County 77-39. They play Hopkinsville and Crittenden County this week. 14. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 3-12 Hopkins County Central won both their games this week and have their first winning streak of the year. They defeated Livingston Central and Trigg County. They will play Union County and Madisonville this week. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 0-18 The Cardinals losing streak stands at 18 games after losing to both Caldwell County and Hopkins County Central. They play Christian Fellowship this week hoping to snap this losing streak.

Week Six Review: Webster County lost their first game to a Kentucky team while Hopkins County Central got their first win. Madisonville recovers from their first losing streak of the season. University Heights took control of district 8 with wins against Hopkinsville and Christian County. Sad fact is that region 2 is the weakest it has been in quite some time. Only 4 teams have winning records this season, with only one team having any significant wins outside of the region. Here are the week 6 rankings: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #8 Season record: 14-3 After losing big to John Hardin, the Maroons were able to win all 3 games this week, but not without a surprise. Dawson Springs were within 3 points late in the 3rd quarter after the starters were taken out. While the game never was in doubt, it was much closer than it should have been. Madisonville will play Henderson County this week. 2. Webster County Season Record: 13-2 Webster County was unable to stay undefeated after playing Calloway County in the 2A Sectional Tournament. Tyler Camplin did score 19 in the loss. The Trojans will try and get back on the winning way with games at Apollo and a home game against Hopkinsville. 3. Lyon County Season Record: 9-6 The Lyons rebounded from their 3 game losing streak to defeat Livingston Central 75-51. They will play Dawson Springs in the 2nd Region All A Classic on Tuesday before Madisonville-North Hopkins next week. 4. University Heights Season Record:7-8 The Blazers are the team to beat in District 8, normally that means a trip to Rupp is coming, but not this year. UHA has the best record of the 4 teams in District 8 after defeating both Hopkinsville and Christian County. They can reach .500 as they play Crittenden County on Tuesday. 5. Christian County Season Record: 6-9 Christian County lost big in their only game of the week. University Heights smacked the Colonels in their own gym 77-50. Christian County will try again as they play two tough opponents in McCracken County and South Warren. 6. Henderson County Season Record: 9-8 Henderson split their two games this week losing to Muhlenberg County but defeated Evansville Harrison (IN). They have an important games against Union County on Friday before hosting Madisonville-North Hopkins on Saturday. 7. Hopkinsville Season Record: 7-9 Hopkinsville worked their way to a winning record, then lost ground this week losing both games. They lost to University Heights and Greenwood to extend their losing streak to 4. They will look for better results against Northeast (TN) and an interesting matchup at Webster County. 8. Union County Season Record: 6-8 Union County couldn’t recover from their big losses last week as it followed into this week and a 53-48 loss to Trigg County. An example of how down the 2nd region is. Henderson County will be their next opponent. 9. Crittenden County Season Record: 7-8 Crittenden lost their only game to Webster County this week 78-70. Preston Turley threw down 29 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the region’s 2nd best team. Doesn’t get any easier as they host University Heights this week. 10. Caldwell County Season Record: 6-8 The Tigers were another team that only played one game this week, and another team that lost that game. Madisonville beat up on Caldwell to the tune of 90-61. They hope for better luck against Livingston Central. 11. Trigg County Season Record: 7-8 The Wildcats split their games this week, pulling an upset against Union County, 53-48. They lost 62-43 against Calloway County. They will play Evansville Christian next. 12. Dawson Springs Season Record: 5-9 The Panthers lost both games this week, but came away with a standing ovation after their great effort against BGP #8 Madisonville, losing 90-82. Skyler Clark dropped 30 points in the loss. Lyon County is next up for Dawson Springs. 13. Fort Campbell Season Record: 6-9 Fort Campbell defeated Pleasant View Christian (TN) and lost to Hopkins County Central. They will play in the All A Classic next. 14. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 1-12 Hopkins County Central won their first game of the year against Fort Campbell 51-41. Sam Almon scored 19 points in the win. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 0-16 The Cardinals losing streak stands at 16 games after losing two more this week to Lyon County and Benton (IL). They play Caldwell County next.

Week Six Review: McCracken County shows they are the best in the region after defeating number 2. They play number 3 this coming week. Paducah Tilghman has the chance to make some big noise this week after beating Murray. Mayfield is looking strong as they move up the rankings. Here is week 6 review: 1. McCracken County – BGP #9 Season Record: 14-4 McCracken continues to prove they are the top team in Region 1 after defeating Marshall County for a second time this season. It was still a close game and they needed Jackson Sivills 20 points and Noah Dumas 15 to pull it out. Christian County and Paducah Tilghman will try and knock of the top team this week. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 7-9 Marshall had the lone game against McCracken County but just couldn’t pull it out. Zion Harmon hit 25 points, but only shot 29% from the field. A trend that has really hurt the Marshalls this season. Jonathan Stokes had 14 and Tyler Powell 11, both shot 50+% from the field, but put together, didn’t get shoot as much as Harmon. Only four players from Marshall scored in the game. They need more balance to compete within the BGP Top 20. 3. Paducah Tilghman Season Record: 11-5 The Blue Tornado got a huge win hosting Murray. Michael Laster led Tilghman with 17 points and Eli Brown added 14 points. They are in the middle of the playing the top 3 teams in the region. One down, Two to go. Marshall County is first, and then McCracken County on the 17th. If they win those two games, they could break back into the top 20 and maybe even gain the number spot in the region. 4. Murray Season Record: 11-3 The Tigers couldn’t keep their winning streak going as a visit to Paducah Tilghman snapped it to a tune of 55-51. Grant Whitaker was the only player to score in double figures with 16. Fulton City should be an easy win this week. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 12-6 The Lakers defeated Carlisle County, Webster County, and Trigg County. The win gave Webster County their first loss to a Kentucky team this season. They will face Lexington Catholic in the Kentucky 2A Championship Sectional Tournament. Will be a tough game for the Lakers playing one of the best in the state. 6. Mayfield Season Record:11-3 Mayfield is in the midst of a 6 game winning streak after defeating South Fulton, Graves County, and Hickman County. The Graves County game went to overtime and proves to be the best win of the season for the Cardinals . They will continue play in the 1st Region All “A” Classic. 7. Carlisle County Season Record: 8-7 The Comets lost to Calloway County and defeated Hickman County. They will play Ballard Memorial in Mayfield at the 1st Region All “A” Classic. Not a whole lot of games schedule because of the All “A”, if they win they play, if not, their next scheduled game isn’t till Jan 24. 8. St. Mary Season Record: 11-5 The Vikings were able to snap a three game skid by defeating Hickman County 68-47. They will play Ballard Memorial in the 1st Region All A Classic. 9. Graves County Season Record:5-12 The Eagles suffered a tough home loss to Mayfield in overtime 49-48. They play Marshall County next before heading to the Superman Classic in Massac County (IL). 10. Fulton City Season Record: 5-4 Fulton City had their 4 game winning streak snapped by Murray in the 1st Region All A Classic. They will play Joppa-Maple Grove (IL) next, and then Marshall County after that. 11. Fulton County Season Record: 6-7 The Pilots defeated South Fulton (TN) right across the state line, 74-53. They could get past St. Mary 56-47 in the All A Classic. They will play Hickman County next week. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 4-10 The Falcons have now lost 5 in a row after losing to Christian Fellowship, Carlisle County, and Mayfield. They will play Fulton County and Fulton City next week. 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 3-13 The Bombers defeated Community Christian 59-21 for their 3rd win of the year. They play Carlisle County next. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 0-14 The Warriors almost pulled out their first win against Joppa-Maple Grove, but couldn’t do it, and lost by 5. CCA will play Trigg County next. Week Five Review: McCracken County is flexing its muscles and continue to prove they are the cream of the crop. Marshall is still trying to find their way amongst a extremely tough schedule. Murray has an 8 game winning streak, and Paducah Tilghman is looking more like a contender each game, but a tough stretch lies ahead for them. Here is what happened this past week in Region 1: 1. McCracken County – BGP #8 Season Record: 12-4 McCracken currently on a 5 game winning streak, had no trouble in any of their 3 games this week. Lexington Christian, Crittendent County and Poplar Bluff (MO) all attempted to bring down the #9 ranked team in the Bluegrass, but couldn’t get close. Jackson Sivills is still leading the way fo the Mustangs, averaging 22.4 ppg and 8 rpg. Big rematch with Marshall County on Friday, Jan 10. The Mustangs won their first match by 4 points, but Marshall is seemingly playing better and it should be a great game. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 7-8 Marshall is still looking to get back on track, but is playing better. They lost to a good Callaway (MS) team and then blew away Lyon County from Region 2. They have two big region 2 test their next 2 games. They will play McCracken County on Friday, and then Paducah Tilghman the following week. Zion Harmon is averaging 25.4 ppg, but is only shooting 42% from the field. He needs to get better for the Marshalls to win against McCracken and Tilghman. 3. Murray Season Record: 12-2 The Tigers are still looking good and have extended their winning streak to 8 games. They easily defeated Ballard Memorial 76-39 and then defeated Prodigy Prep (FL) 78-62. What makes this game interesting, is that Prodigy Prep beat Marshall County earlier in the season. This doesn’t mean Murray is better than Marshall, but they are definitely closer than we thought at the beginning of the season. Murray will have its hands full for the ninth victory in the streak as they faceoff with Paducah Tilman on Jan 7. 4. Paducah Tilghman – BGP #20 Season Record: 10-5 The Blue Tornado rebounded nicely from a 3 game losing streak to win 3 games in a row. They defeated both Christian County and University Heights from Region 2, and West Creek (TN). The region 2 games were both very close and could have gone either way, but Tilghman showed poise and grit in winning both games. They will face a very tough stretch in their schedule next. They play Murray, Christian County, Marshall County, and McCracken County in their next four. Will the real Paducah Tilghman please step up. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 9-6 Ugly week for the Lakers has they struggled and didn’t win a game this week. The closest game as a 54-52 loss to Christian County. They also lass to Marion (IL) by 7 and South Warren by 8, all at the CFSB New Year’s Bash. They will play Carlisle County and then Webster County, a team that hasn’t lost to a KY team yet this year. They are one of the few teams on Webster’s schedule that could change that. 6. Carlisle County Season Record: 7-6 The Comets only played one game this week and lost to Caldwell County 63-57. Blake Elder has 26 points in the loss. They will play Calloway County and Hickman County this week. 7. St. Mary Season Record: 8-5 The Vikings won their only game of the week by squeaking out a 45-43 win at Ballard Memorial. This game was much closer than anticipated and very well could have been a huge upset, but St. Mary managed to pull it out. They play Livingston Central and then Fulton County back to back. 8. Graves County Season Record:5-10 Still not used to the Eagles being this far down on the rankings, but that is the way the season has gone for Graves. More of the same this week as they lost 3 of 4 in Holiday games. Their lone win came again South Warren 59-41, however losses to Christian County, West Creek (TN), and Morristown-Hamblen (TN) spoiled that win. The next three games will be tough as well, McCracken County, Mayfield, and then Marshall County…ugly. 9. Mayfield Season Record:7-3 Mayfield keeps moving up the charts as they win both games this week against Hickman County and Community Christian. Ballard Memorial and South Fulton (TN) up next. 10. Fulton City Season Record: 3-4 Fulton City had one game this week, but it was enough to move them up one spot in the rankings due to the fact they beat Fulton County who was ahead of them the whole season. Brennen Walker scored 19 points in the 57-53 win. They will play Dresden (TN) and Christian Fellowship next. 11. Fulton County Season Record: 5-6 The Pilots lost their rival game against Fulton City and therefore dropped a spot in the standings. They rebounded by defeating Lake County (TN) the next night. They will play South Fulton (TN) and St. Mary back to back next. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 4-7 The Falcons lost their only game this week 72-50 to Mayfield. They will play Christian Fellowship, Carlisle County, and Mayfield next. 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 2-11 The Bombers almost pulled off one of the bigger upsets in region 1 this season losing to St. Mary by only 2 points. Made the thrashing they received from Murray the night before, not hurt so bad. Mayfield is up next. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 0-12 The Warriors played two games this week and got beat convincingly in both. It looks more and more that CCA may find itself winless again this season. Unranked [b}Christian Fellowship*[/b] Season Record: 6-5 The Eagles won their only game against rival Christian Fellowship in a convincing manner. Andrew Allen scored 18 pts in the win. *Team will be included in the region reviews, but will not be ranked as they do not play in the Region 1 tournament at the end of the season.

Week Five Review: Webster County is the only undefeated team (ky competition) left in Region 2 and Madisonville suffered its first losing streak, while playing one of the toughest schedule in the Commenwealth. Livingston Central and Hopkins County Central continue to remain winless. Lyon County and Union County were dealt considerable upsets, while Christian County starts to separate themselves from their district 8 foes. Here are the week 5 rankings: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #6 Season record: 11-3 The Maroons lost both of their games this week against higher ranked opponents. The first loss was to BGP#5 Lexington Catholic in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic Championship Game at Lexington Catholic. The game went into overtime, but Madisonville still fell short 67-65. The second loss was much more concerning, a 72-58 loss to BGP#2 John Hardin. This is the largest margin of loss for the Maroons since December of last season. They will finally get a home game December 7 against Hopkinsville, before heading away from home for 5 games, including a big game versus Male on Jan 11. The Maroons have only played 2 home games this season so far. 2. Webster County Season Record: 12-1 Webster County won both their games this week including a 66-45 win against Bartram Trail (FL) in Panama City Beach, and a 77-47 win against Hopkins County Central. The Trojans will play Crittenden County and Calloway County this week. Calloway County could cause some problems for the Trojans, however they should be able to pull it out. 3. Christian County Season Record: 6-8 Christian County won two of three games this week all against Region 1 foes. The Colonels were able to defeat both Calloway County and Graves County, and only lost to Paducah Tilghman by 3 points. They will play University Heights, Paducah Tilghman in a rematch, and Madison Central, all at home this week. 4. Henderson County Season Record: 8-7 Henderson split 4 games this week, defeating both Crittenden County and Thomas Nelson significantly, however Lafayette and Central both handled the Colonels easily. The up and down season continues for Henderson. They hope to balance the ship this week with games against Evansville Harrison (IN) and Muhlenberg County. 5. Hopkinsville Season Record: 7-7 Hopkinsville split their games this week against Fort Campbell and Bardstown, both home games. The Tigers won 61-48 versus Ft. Campbell, but lost 79-67 against Bardstown. Hoptown is struggling to find consistent scoring threats as only one player is averaging more than 10 ppg. Tough game against Madisonville on Tuesday, before heading over the University Heights on Friday. 6. Lyon County Season Record: 8-6 The Lyons reversed their fortune this week, losing to both Crittenden County and Marshall County big. The 73-45 loss to Crittenden is confusing considering Lyon County beat Crittenden by 19 points earlier this season. Regardless, the Lyons will play Livingston Central and Hopkinsville this week. They can get their season back on track with wins against both. 7. Union County Season Record: 6-7 Union got the smackdown in two games this week. BGP #8 Ashland soundly defeated the Braves 84-49, and Lewis County snapped an 8 game losing streak and defeated them 69-49 in an upset. Not sure what is going on with Union, but those scores seem problematic. They will try and right things in the Kentucky 2A Championship Sectional Tournaments where their opponents are still To Be Announced. 8. University Heights Season Record:5-8 The Blazers lost the only game they played this week, which was in the Mustang Madness in Paducah. UHA lost 65-60 to Paducah Tilghman in a close game. They will play both crosstown rivals this week going to Christian County and hosting Hopkinsville. 9. Crittenden County Season Record: 7-7 Crittenden lost two of three this week, but the one game they did win, was a big win. The Rockets lost big to BGP #9 McCracken County 76-43, and to Henderson County 81-66. However they pulled a big upset on Lyon County winning 73-45 at home, a great rebound from a 19 point loss to the Lyons in mid December. They will face off with Webster County and Trigg County this week. Do they have another upset in their future? 10. Caldwell County Season Record: 5-7 The Tigers were able to win their sole game this week against Carlisle County 63-57. They will play Hopkins County Central before hosting Madisonville on Friday. 11. Trigg County Season Record: 5-7 The Wildcats defeated Livingston Central by 19 points, 66-47. Four players scored in double digits in the victory. They will play Hopkins County Central and Crittenden County this week. 12. Dawson Springs Season Record: 4-7 The Panthers split their two games this week. They defeated Evansville Christian 71-64 and lost to Apollo 75-45. They will play Fort Campbell and Madisonville this week. 13. Fort Campbell Season Record: 5-7 Fort Campbell lost both their games this week, extending their losing streak to 6 games. They scored 48 points in both losses to Hopkinsville and Portland TN They will faceoff against Dawson Springs and Hopkins County Central this week. 14. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 0-11 Hopkins County Central lost their 11th game of the season continuing their winless streak. They have opportunities this week against Caldwell County, Fort Campbell, and Trigg County. Could be their best chance to end the streak. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 0-13 The Cardinals losing streak continues as well with a 47-66 loss to Trigg County. They will play St. Mary and Lyon County this week.

Madisonville is really good, they have only played 2 home games so far this year. Their two losses by 3 points total. They are a top 5 team in my opinion with a legit chance at a state title.

Week Four Review: McCracken County stays in the BGP top 10 and proves they deserve to be there. Paducah Tilghman makes a surprise entry into BGP top 20 at #20 as they had won 7 straight before losing 2 this week. Marshall County looks to rebound and show they are a top 20 deserving team, while Murray still shows they are a very good team, waiting to be noticed. Here is the week 4 review: 1. McCracken County – BGP #8 Season Record: 10-4 McCracken look very good in this week’s games, almost avenging a loss to BGP #6 Madisonville. They couldn’t pull out the win in a very tight game, losing 55-52 at the King of the Bluegrass. They rebounded with 3 nice wins in the Central Bank Classic. They defeated Eastern, George Rogers Clark, and Lexington Christian. They will play Crittenden County and Poplar Bluff (MO) this coming week. 2. Marshall County Season Record: 6-7 Marshall looks to be getting back on track, winning 3 of 4 games this week. The wins all came against out of state teams. The loss was a real gauge on where Marshall stands in the state, playing BGP #1 Ballard. The result shows that there is a lot of improvement still needed to compete with the top teams as they were outmatched 76-61. They will play Callaway (MS) and Lyon County this week. 3. Murray Season Record: 10-2 The Tigers won all three games they played in the Roy’s Bar-B-Que/1st Southern National Bank Classic. They defeated Cumberland County 72-60, East Robertson (TN) 80-48, and Carlisle County 48-47. They play Ballard Memorial and Prodigy Prep (FL) this week before a big matchup with Paducah Tilghman. 4. Paducah Tilghman – BGP #20 Season Record: 7-4 The Blue Tornado suffered two losses in the West Ky Hoops Classic, losing to Northeast (TN) 56-37 and Southwind (TN) 48-43. They move into the BGP top 20 and drop both games since. They will try and rebound against Christian County on Friday. A big game with Murray looms in the near future. 5. Calloway County Season Record: 9-3 The Lakers won all three games at the Murray Bank Tipoff Classic defeating Fulton County and Livingston Central in blowouts, and a 3 point win against Mayfield. They will play in the CFSB New Year’s Bash this week. 6. Carlisle County Season Record: 7-5 The Comets won two of three this week, defeating Hart County and Russellville before losing to Murray by 1 point at the Roy’s Bar-b-que/1st Southern National Bank Classic. They will play Caldwell County in their lone game this week. 7. Mayfield Season Record:5-3 Mayfield looked good in blowout wins versus Livingston Central and Fulton County, however they couldn’t pullout a win at Calloway County, losing 47-44. They can rebound this week playing Hickman County and Community Christian. 8. St. Mary Season Record: 7-5 The Vikings travelled into Illinois to play in the Carbondale Holiday Classic, where they dropped 2 of 3 games. DuQuoin (IL) and Cairo (IL) proved to be too much for St. Mary as they lost by a significant margin in both games. They were able to win big against Horizon Science Academy 59-17 in the other game. They will play Ballard Memorial on Friday. 9. Graves County Season Record:4-7 The Eagles went to sunny Florida to play in the Innisfree Hotels Beach Basketball tournament. They were not able to keep up with their competition, losing both games so far to Archbishop McNicholas (OH) and Vicksburg (MS). They will play Morristown-Hamlen West (TN) on Monday before hosting the CFSB New Year’s Bash this weekend. 10. Fulton County Season Record: 4-5 The Pilots struggled against Mayfield and Calloway County in the Murray Bank Tipoff Classic, losing by 30+ points in both games. They returned the favor against Livingston Central however, winning 79-45. They will play Fulton City on Friday, their crosstown rivals. 11. Fulton City Season Record: 2-4 Fulton City split their two games this week losing to Gibson County (TN) by 6 points and winning against Gleason (TN) by 34 points. The play their rival, Fulton County on Friday. 12. Hickman County Season Record: 4-6 The Falcons split their two games this week against teems from Tennessee in the Gibson County Christmas Classic. They defeated Dresden (TN) 76-68, and loss to Halls (TN) 83-59. They will play Mayfield on Friday. 13. Ballard Memorial Season Record: 2-9 The Bombers did not play this week, but return to action on Thursday versus Murray and then Friday versus St. Mary. Both games will be tough to win. 14. Community Christian Season Record: 0-9 The Warriors did not play this week, but will try to snap their losing streak against rival Christian Fellowship on Friday. Unranked Christian Fellowship Season Record: 5-5 The Eagles will be included in the region reviews, but will not be ranked as they do not play in the Region 1 tournament at the end of the season. They do however play in the Region 1 All “A” Classic. They won 2 of 3 games this week, defeating Portland Christian and Evangel Christian, but losing to Whitefield Academy. They play Community Christian next.

Week Four Review: Nothing really changed in the rankings this week. Madisonville continues to show they are far and above the rest, while Webster suffers their first loss of the season: 1. Madisonville North Hopkins – BGP #6 Season record: 11-1 The Maroons continue their dominance in the state by winning 4 out of region games. They defeated BGP#8 McCracken County 55-52 in the 5th place game of the King of the Bluegrass. They then defeated Central, Simon Kenton, and BGP#13 Bourbon County in the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic so they will play BGP#7 Lexington Catholic in the championship game on Monday night. Big game versus BGP#2 John Hardin on Jan 4. 2. Webster County Season Record: 10-1 Webster County lost their first game of the season 71-66 to Buford, GA in the Marlin Classic down in Panama City Beach, Fl. They won their first game of the Classic 67-24, and they play their last game on Monday. They will play Hopkins County Central on Jan 3. 3. Lyon County Season Record: 8-4 The Lyons had their worst week of the year as they lost 2 of 3 games at the Campbellsville High School Holiday Classic. They were able to defeat Washington County 87-52, but they dropped their game to Campbellsville 64-63, and then East Jessamine 63-50. They will faceoff against Crittenden County and Marshall County after the new Year. 4. Christian County Season Record: 4-7 Christian County took a turn for the worse this week losing 3 of 4 games. The Colonels suffered losses to Butler and Scott County in the Ashland Invitational before easily defeating Lewis County 80-57. Christian County now has to play 2 games against Paducah Tilghman with a game against University Heights sandwiched in between. 5. Henderson County Season Record: 6-5 Henderson won 2 of 3 games at the Beef O Brady/Danny Annis Memeorial Tournament. They defeated Edmonson County 83-53, and Todd County 70-50. They took a loss to Ohio County 79-75 in the final game. They will play Crittenden County before playing in the City of Middletown Holiday Classic with an opening game against Lafayette. 6. Union County Season Record: 6-5 Union went up into Illinois to play in the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic with mixed results. They were able to defeat Steeleville (IL) and Salem (IL), and lost to Carlyle (IL) and Richland County (IL). They will play BGP #9 Ashland and Lewis County this week. 7. Hopkinsville Season Record: 6-6 Hopkinsville showed some signs of improving losing in a close game to Great Crossing 53-50 and defeating Owensboro Catholic 60-55, and Grayson County 42-36. They will play Fort Campbell, and Bardstown this week. 8. University Heights Season Record:5-7 The Blazers played in the Lake Cumberland Holiday Hoops Classic and pulled out two of three games. They tool a loss to Beech (TN) by 25 points, but looked much better in their wins against Somerset 63-57 and Sullivan East (TN) 71-59. They are off this coming week according to KHSAA. 9. Crittenden County Season Record: 6-3 Crittenden was scheduled to play at the Stewart County Christmas Classic, however no scores have been reported to KHSAA or in local newspapers. They will play Henderson County, BGP #8 McCracken County, and Lyon County this week. 10. Caldwell County Season Record: 4-7 The Tigers brought back down to earth after their 4 game winning streak. They lost both games at the West Ky Hoops Classic. They lost to Southwind (TN) 52-47 in game 1, and 56-39 to Northeast (TN). They will play Carlisle County this week. 11. Trigg County Season Record: 4-7 The Wildcats split their two games this week, losing 68-49 to Peabody (TN), and then snapped their 6 game losing streak to Greenfield (TN) 59-49. They will attempt to keep the winning going against Livingston Central this week. 12. Dawson Springs Season Record: 3-6 The Panthers did not play this past week. Their next game will be Dec 30 against Apollo and then Jan 3 against Evansville Christian. 13. Fort Campbell Season Record: 5-5 Fort Campbell have now lost 4 in a row. They were defeated by Walnut Hills (OH) and Upperman (TN) at the Zaxby’s Holiday Tournament in Clarksville. They play the final game of that tournament tonight, and then travel to Hopkinsville on Jan 3. 14. Hopkins County Central Season Record: 0-10 The Storm did not play any games this week. They will play Webster County on Jan 3, trying to break their losing streak to open the season. 15. Livingston Central Season Record: 0-12 The Cardinals losing streak continued and now sits at 12. They lost to Mayfield, Calloway County, and Fulton County. They play Trigg County on Jan 3.

Webster County in Region 2 has not lost to a KY team.

Collins has played one heck of a schedule that last 2 weeks though. Trinity, Madisonville (#6), Male(#4), Ballard(#1), Tates Creek, and Bourbon Co.(#13). They lost 3 of those, and 2 the 3 games they won, they did so by a total of 4 points combined. Brutal.
