I don't see anyone coaching New Cath but a New Cath grad. Is Mr Callopy a NCC grad? If not looks like he will be moving to yet another school.

Can someone give some broad averages of the difference in what a Private school coach makes versus a public school coach makes. I understand the state retirement end of it but some please provide ball park figures on salaries. Also, are Catholic school coaching salaries determined solely by the school or does the Diocese of Covington have a say also? Cov Cath, New Cath, Holy Cross, St Henry all have to answer to the Bishop I hear. Robin Hood

George Mikan, much of this information you have provided here is wrong. It almost seems as if you are Mr Schumates agent. Nothing against Mr Schumate but, Mr Schumates record at South Dearborn where he went after he left Beechwood was 3-18 first year, and 9-12 as you posted his second year. So why would Beechwood be interested in a coach who left, went on and produced a 12-30 record over two years and was destroyed by teams in that league? He was the head coach at Beechwood and then the disaster he finds himself in now. He has applied for numerous positions in NKY and failed to get any, hmmm. Lets not blow him up to be all that. He seems to be a decent volunteer coach on past teams.

First of all I think the ASUN is a horrible conference with about three teams any good. Mercer, FGCU and Stetson are good but the rest are bad. Holmes could have competed with the lower half of this league. I don't think the new Pres and incoming new AD will stand still and accept this mediocre team. The games I saw at NKU showed not much talent on the floor and noone in the stands. That place should be rocking and was dead as heck. Very disappointing. Hopefully Bezold can get rid of these present players and step it up. Had years to get ready and again what I saw was mediocre at best. Just my opinion. BOK should be getting jam packed on every home game without any gimmick marketing. Robin Hood

Then take those comments to a different thread. Highlands and Beechwood excel on the field and in the classroom, therefore they get plenty of press and interest from everyone. Good stuff. No they have not been the dominate program but I think it is ready to explode under the right leadership. I think they need a proven older coach. Not someone around here who is an asst or for that matter a head coach. Think BIG! Think outside the box. I dont think they realize how big they can be. Maybe a small college coach. I think NKU's coach is halfway out the door, especially with a new AD on its way. He is a little over his head at NKU with them going Div 1. Someone like him would be a good choice. Robin Hood

I have no idea and wont pretend to. I think Ryle could get anybody they wanted. I just feel it won't be someone in this area. That whole area, the school, housing development, businesses, best facilities will certainly draw some big time people. I hope Ryle realizes this and actually thinks BIG. I think this position has the potential to be one of the top in the area, including Cincinnati. Maybe someone from Cincinnati or Northern Ohio. Will be fun to see. Robin Hood
