I do believe Doss is the only head coaching job he has had. He served as an assistant for Happy for a while then stepped right into a head coaching spot at Doss.
He is 45-41 in 3 years, but that record is deceiving. He inherited a team that was 4-23 in 2009/10 and they gradually improved. 9-17 his first season, 17-13 second season (made region) and 19-11 last year (losing to eventual winner PRP at region).
I've only seen them a handful of times since I live in the western part of the state, but they averaged slightly over 63 PPG this year.
I am admittedly biased because I know KC, but he is a great coach who demands (and gets) the best out of his players. He would be a great hire at Montgomery, but if he is back at Doss next year, I expect them to be top 2/3 in the 6th next year.
