This could turn out to be a pretty good game, but Holy Cross has to much to offer with NDA being down compared to previous years! HC by 10+

Should I post the district rankings here would hate to upset all you Dawg lovers!

Like stated in a previous thread not going to call that coach out but it's pretty self explanatory, especially for you guys who seem like you know high school basketball and who likes who and who doesn't like who!

It's kinda obvious which coach in northern Kentucky doesn't like HC the slightest bit!

Hmm I wonder which coach didn't put HC on his list (not thinking to hard on this one!)

Again can anyone answer as to how HC is number one in northern Ky ahead of Holmes but not ahead of them in the top 20 doesn't make much sense?

Read carefully dg21 you are correct but only to make a point, no one has came up with a valid argument as to why HC is not ranked above Holmes and an argument that was brought us was the losses HC has which only one of which is a bad loss, but that's besides the point Holmes lost to HC which makes there loss worse according to the theory stated above as to why HC is lower then Holmes!

Ahead of Holmes but not in the state top 20?

I think they are a very good team should be ranked top 5 but the way everyone is basing there opinions of HC because of there losses should be ranked where they are and not ahead of Holmes, so if that's the case Holnes has a bad loss on there record because of losing to HC with the losses they have!

Great record but against top 20 in the state competition 1-1!!!!! Period!

HC out of state opponent is ranked 18th in the country and that's an ESPN ranking can't say that loss really hurts them!

Also another point that needs to be made strength of schedule is always a factor in making these rankings Holmes has played two teams on this list and won one of those games by 2 and lost one by 4 yet they are ranked above both teams HC has played 6 of these teams and lost 1? Pretty sure a 6-1 record against the states top 20 is better then a 1-1 record against these teams!

This might end a lot of arguments on these rankings everyone is harping on who lost to who and who beat who and saying Holy Cross should be low like they are because of who they lost to which is a valid point in ranking teams, BUT if that's the case then Holmes should not be in the top 5 because they lost to HC which lost to those teams that are keeping them out of the top 5 and Highlands might as well not be ranked if that's the case because they also lost to HC! Not taking anything away from Holmes or Highlands Both fantastic ball clubs love watching both play, but HEAD TO HEAD is very important when it comes to rankings it cannot be left out when making these things!

Some valid points here dg21, but Holy Cross lost to Brossart with starting big Ally Mayhouse out and starting point guard Mclendon out after an ankle injury around the second half two key parts to the Indians team the East Carter loss came while playing that game with again Mclendon playing with a bummed ankle and Deja Turner not playing one second in that game due to injury, there out of state loss to a team which I would put the money on the table would beat majority of this top 20 pretty handily maybe not E-Town but it would be a good game so that loss doesn't hurt the Indians at all! All this being said Holmes has taken care of business with there schedule they have put in front of them but head to head has to be a factor in these rankings and after the past few weeks HC has played there tails off and also taken care of business which I think puts them in the top 5 ahead of Holmes!

I think some fans are still bitter about there loss to Holy Cross. :sssh: That being said the All A is set up just like the Khsaa state tournament only difference not every team in the state is involved which is where I can see the argument above, but Holy Cross took care of business and won the whole thing and deservedly so are now known as State Champs! Congrats HC on a great memorable and magical run! Can't wait for the district tournaments to start and see what the 9th region has to offer!

21 for Murray getting bailed out by officials every time she touches the ball hasn't scored without them sending her to the foul line!

That was my intention on my post HC being able to finish.

Turner a big reason for this win with her play in the second half, along with being able to knock down free throws late. Turner was shut out in the first half but wouldn't be denied the second half!

Looking at prior games on both teams schedules Highlands is the only opponent that both teams have played. Owensboro Catholic won in overtime by 3, Holy Cross won in double overtime by 1! Sounds like a great game will be played tomorrow, who wins and why?

Been countdown the past few games for her to get it congrats Ally, I don't believe she even new she was close surprise to her!
