Best comment on this thread by far! Every one has the opportunity to make it to State. If you are the better team, win the games. If somehow you decided to take the top 16 teams in the state, there would be many areas in the state that would never get an opportunity to play in Rupp. We have to remember what brings most of us together in the middle of March at "The Greatest Show in Hoops."

Pretty excited about this years 10th! Think there are 5-6 teams that have a legitimate shot at taking a trip to Rupp!

I agree with this all around. Thursday and Friday, when Sweet 16 and NCAA tournament are going on at same time, are my favorite 2 days of the year. In today's time, it's very easy to be sitting inside Rupp watching State tourney and have NCAA tournament on the phone. Would the change move the Sweet 16 up to SEC tournament week? I think that would hurt attendance as much if not worse than the NCAA tournament. I also wish they would bring the Championship game back to Saturday night although I don't think that will ever happen again. I'm pretty sure the kids play 3-4 games on same day during AAU season.
