  1. Does anyone have the brackets for the boys 8th grade Turkeyfoot tournament that begins Monday Dec. 19th? Is this an one and out tourney?
  2. The player blocked the ball out of bounds and swiped the kids arm as he brought his down. That's a foul, not an intentional foul.
  3. Worst refs I've ever witnessed in Freshman and JV games. Bad both ways and apparently don't even understand the rules of the game. Where to take the ball out of bounds in certain situations and what dictates an intentional foul, etc, etc.
  4. Any updates on records of 8th grade boys teams?
  5. I'm sure the Ryle playmaker you speak of is Ryan Smith? He's a 6'4" forward for Ryle.
  6. No more like a wide receiver. He played cornerback I believe on Ryle football team. 6'4" with nice athletic build. dark hair. He sat out of bball the past 2 years focusing on football, but decided to return for his Senior year. Great kid.
  7. What a game for Ryan Smith of Ryle. Just goes to show you that preseason player ratings don't mean a thing.
  8. Any feedback on scrimmages this past weekend at Simon Kenton? Results?
  9. Woodland 6th grade boys beat Ock. 6th grade. 7th grade Ock. beat Woodland after being down about 10. 8th grade Ock. beat Woodland by about 25. Moss from Ock. was a man amongst boys. 20 plus points He for sure had a double double (Pts. and rebounds) and possibly a triple double (with assists).
  10. Congrats Syd! I guess when Tim Tebow put that Florida ballcap on your head it sealed the deal! lol Go Gators!
  11. Wow - Zeke going to college in Jan. is a huge blow to Dixie. They will have to shift players and re-group their team like most of the other 9th Region teams. Will make 9th Region a toss up again.
  12. Let"s make it clear that Walton Verona is not apart of the Boone County Board of Education. I guess they are an independent school system like Beechwood.
  13. They are referring to Carson and Thad's spring and summer AAU team, Hoop Dreams. The team had kids from all over the state of Ky. including 3 Northern Ky. players, Moss, Downs and Diaw - all from Ockerman Middle and then Carson Williams from Owen Cty. They finished 12th in Nationals this summer in Memphis out of 96 D1 teams.
  14. Really happy for Kam Schwartz and this Rebel win on the one year anniversary of Kameron's Fathers passing. An emotional day for his family. Way to go Kam!
  15. Sorry for your animosity, but it's 100% true. He's passed a polygraph and drug test. It's a fact.
  16. He's done that also and passed. He volunteered for that also.
  17. Apparrantly Zeke was telling the truth all along. He's taken a polygraph and proved his innocense in the matter from this past Friday night. Who are the other boys suspended?
  18. Zeke has taken a polygraph regarding the incident this past Friday and proven his innocence. He had no involvement. Who are the other 2 boys that have been suspended? Why is only Zeke's name being blasted. Let's treat them all equally and give the other names up!
  19. Mikey Gabbard (Boone County) walked on at WKU last season, full ride to Erskine in South Carolina this season Trevan Brown (Boone County) - Miami, Oh. football
  20. #51 is Jesse Bowling for Boone. He's had 2 huge games for Boone against Ryle and Highlands. He's played in the BC Pee Wee league for years and won lineman of the year a few times. Hard working kid with bright future. The scary thing about Moss (#44) is he just turned 13 this summer. He's a very young 8th grader and can impact a Freshman game in a big way. He's about 6'2" - 240 and very, very athletic. (Great basketball player also - big sis is Sydney Moss) #26 Aaron Floyd has tons of ability also and some athletic genes in his family. His Dad played on a national championship team at Eastern and a few years in the NFL. His coach must have gotten in his head a little. When he realizes his ability he will be something special.
