  1. I need 12 points to win. My flex position is the only slot I have left and its either Carlos Hyde or Charles Johnson. We get half a point per reception so that makes Johnson tempting especially since I think him and Teddy have great chemistry but I think Hyde is The 49er's goaline back and may get a TD. Who do I start tonight? Right now I have Hyde in my line up.
  2. First SEC road game victory since 2009. Time to end a 28 game losing streak to the Gators next week.
  3. Jackson Stephens did his part tonight throwing 7 innings of one 1 run baseball but the Tortugas lost 1-0.
  4. According to MLB.com the Reds now have 5 players in the top 100 prospects. This isn't even considering Cody Reed who I think is every bit as good if not better than Amir Garrett. He's younger than Amir, more accomplished and more polished. I think Cody Reed should definitely be on the list. Also Brandon Finnegan is a top 100 player he just isn't on the list because of his time in the bigs. Alex Blandino and Nick Travieso also has a case for some consideration, they probably are in the top 150. With a top 3 pick in next years draft whoever they pick will probably be on the list. #29 . Jesse Winker #38 . Robert Stephenson #74 . Amir Garrett #98 . Tyler Stephenson #99 . Keury Mella
  5. Let's see if Jackson Stephens can keep it going tonight.
  6. Beau Amaral steals a HR [video=youtube_share;ie4oVH_RH20]
  7. Amir Garrett dominated tonight in game 1 of the 1st Round of the FSL playoffs. His line was 7 IP, 1 H, 12 K's and 0 BB's. Clutch!
  8. Ray Chang played all 9 positions and collected 3 hits as well. Very cool.
  9. It's going to come down to the Phillies and the Reds for the worst record.
  10. Bonnafon looks pretty good since his first throw that resulted in the int.
  11. The names on the back of those Louisville uniforms are horrible. I've hated on the helmets in the past but they don't look quite as bad in person. Not a good start for Louisville. Auburn intercepts a pass on the opening play and are already up 7-0.
  12. Jesse Winker went 4-5 last night with 2 Doubles. He also had 2 OF assists giving him 17 on the season. Avisail Garcia of the CWS leads the MLB with 16 OF assists for comparison.
  13. Baseball America released their All-Prospect team for August. Jesse Winker made the team as one of the three outfielders. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos outfielder hit .344/.465/.602 in the month with 12 extra-base hits, 20 walks and 20 strikeouts.
  14. Iglesias has an era of 2.33 over his last 46.2 IP. He has given up 23 hits. He has 55 strikeouts and just 13 walks over that time frame. Batters are hitting just around .140 against him. He's been on quite the streak. His last 3 appearances he has went 7 innings in. Over his last 7 starts he hasn't given up more than 4 hits in an outing. He has given up 4 hits twice and 3 hits the other 5 times.
  15. Ramon Cabrera is basically a younger version of Pena. He's had seasons where he's walked more than he's struck out and he's earned the call up. He was the Tigers 20th ranked prospect a couple seasons ago. Hopefully he will get a few starts.
  16. James Vasquez was named MVP of the AZL Rookie League. Drafted in the 25th Round out of UCF he hit 359/.415/.669 to go along with 11 doubles, three triples and nine home runs.
  17. Cody Reed pitched 8 innings of scoreless ball. He gave up 4 hits, struck out 8 and didn't walk a single batter.
  18. Robert Stephenson returns to the mound tonight.
  19. Tyler Mahle since May 28th has posted a 2.51 ERA in 136.0 innings pitched with 22 walks and 123 strikeouts.
  20. I think Mahle has a chance to make some noise in the rotation competition in 2017. If I were ranking the Reds prospects right now I'd have him above Romano, Crawford and Howard. He's making a case to crack the Top 10 of Reds prospects and maybe even some national lists.
  21. Phil Ervin's 2nd HR at AA. Back to back games now with a HR. [video=youtube_share;wBTs9tFPwlY]
  22. Tyler Stephenson hit his first professional HR today for Billings. He has not been promoted to Dayton as I previously said.
  23. Do you like control? You'll love Reds prospect Tyler Mahle - Minor League Ball Really good write up on Reds pitching prospect Tyler Mahle. He's starting to get more recognition and he's earned it.
  24. Last nights Wahoos Highlights including Phil Ervins first AA HR. [video=youtube_share;1PLXWIJm_XY]
