Sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. The bear don't get us to often but last night.....

They’ve tried in the past to do that stuff. Remember Brajon Dabney, he could run the ball but passed it like my mother. We just won a State Championship and we’ve been to the State Championship game about 11 times out of the last 14 years. I think they know what they are doing.

They changed it from 45 to 36 points a few years ago. Now it’s 35. I liked it better at 45, it seems to get there sometimes a little quick.

I thought LCA’s offense was very crisp. You have to give credit to LCA ‘s coaching staff for redesigning their offense from last year. Went from a drop back passer to a running throwing style. The different formations kept Mayfield from getting in the right defense all night long, I thought that was key point, a long with how their offensive line played.

Evansville North beat Mayfield 63-10 in 2004 at Evansville.

Hats off to LCA. They completely dismantled the Cards. The QB was outstanding , the runners ran hard and they had a very good defense. They look like a complete team. Them or Beechwood will give OC all they can handle.

1969. Mayfield vs Madisonville. I was 10 years old and Mayfield beat Madisonville in the snow in a playoff game. Madisonville had Sonny Collins one of the best running backs in the history of Kentucky High School football.

Last year same thing. The only two teams that have beaten Mayfield have thrown the ball but maybe this is an anomaly. I have to say I can't remember the last time a predominately running team beat Mayfield.
