The spread was a tactic to get Raceland thinking about defending, come on Ivan's going to line up in the wing-t, win or lose. Once he retires, there is always a chance they will pursue Racelands coach, especially if they keep beating them.......Russell 38-22.

Have a safe trip on the way, hope all your young guys get in on this one. Coach Maynard has never been one to run it up on anyone for the sake of stats. PS if the cool weather could stay like this till March is fine by me.

I have confidence in sidelinedoc, he is doing much more than some dr'd will besides the follow the finger do you have a headache. He is going the extra mile and he knows when the number of concussions could be a factor,thats what I hate to see is the multiple ones, pro qbs have retired after 6, and some are more concussion prone,etc, I wish all the children the best,and hope other teams have a dr who like sidelinedoc,is actually looking out best as possible for the player. I do know its not an exact science,but nothing really is, especially regarding the brain. Ky is generally about 20 yrs behind on laws,etc......someone like sidelinedoc with some authority could champion a cause for changes with state laws. Good luck everyone!

Heard Russell will have a few players coming in from Raceland next season, and we will need them, as for this one...write it down... 55-12 in a romp against East Carter.

I 100% hope all of the boys are ready to play, they all have worked hard and deserve it. I merely showed concern for a child. If it were Davidson or Googie, I would have the same concern.

You are a fine Dr, and its great the length you are going through on the concussions. You are far more qualified than I am, I was worried about a 3rd one on the young man from Raceland, in such a short time span. Against Paintsville you all should blow them off the field, just hope the young kids on your team stay focused after seeing what Nicholas Co done to Paintsville. Running clock, a good game that will inflate some stats,but should be a huge blowout and running clock. Win easily by Raceland. May be a good game to heal a few injured and if that whole Marcus and Bubba video gets any punishment from coach Maynard,would expect this is the game that gets it and not Russell....Not to mention getting his injuries healed, I have no doubt he is a good kid,and Coach Maynard and The Raceland system will get his head and arse wired straight. Wasn't questioning nor do I want to or expect to know what anyones status is. MRI's can be clean,ct-scans clean,follow the finger and no problems or headaches and wind up half retarded in the future. My question is more as a parent? when is enough,enough? And who predicts the lingering effects in the future? I sure bet Ali wished he had hung them up....say after Foreman, than be like he is today. Both these teams played their guts out, and I am sure we are using the latest in computer testing etc they measures more than MRI's may show. An MRI,etc will clear from liability etc., but has 0 effect on predicting lingering effects. Your service to your team is great and in no way questioning, If it was my child with 2 I would dare the coach to consider contact for this season. If the concussion issue was so set in stone as far as diagnosis,time off etc......the NFL wouldn't need to fly these players across the country to be treated. It is just not an exact science and no 2 are alike, but some players are more likely to have them than others and repeatedly. I would rather see no player injured....ever, we all agree on that.

I would be more concerned about the kids future regardless of who it is, who in their right mind would risk a 3rd concussion in any season? or lifetime for that matter? for high school football? whether they play for Raceland,Russell and the Dallas Cowboys.....just not worth it, you read where some with a history of so many concussions can be related to suicide etc.

I guess playing the hard schedule is yet to pay off,but Raceland has a fine team and will do well. The teams played even,congrats to Fairview for playing just a bit better. I have read a few things saying Maynard was outcoached, but as of yet have seen no examples by anyone. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS AND HOPE INJURED PLAYERS ARE DOING WELL AND GETTING PROPER TREATMENT

hit a nerve? yes it is Racelands problem that goes beyond football, all homosexuals would be offended,some blacks,and certainly women, not to mention promoting drug use with long neck beer bottles in the background. This problem is above Coach Maynards authority inho. Some serious counciling, and teaching of whats right and wrong and maybe classes in tolerance and respect for women,and most important that drugs are bad. On youtube, it is a wordly problem created at Raceland, so its beyond football. Back to the game,as I heard most of the replay, I do think the teams are about even, a few breaks here and there was the difference. I do hope they play again,should be a great game.

There is no excuse for that,but probably doesn't relate to football. How do you think TJ will handle the video's promoting drug use,degrading women,homosexuals, and language not acceptable in society. Suspension for the Paintsville game would be laughable,as the 2nd string could compete. I know Raceland will do what is right and handle it, but once it is on the internet,youtube,the problem and apologies are needed for the entire world. This is representing Raceland.

LC has come a long way,congrats to them on the win. As the careers of our Russell seniors are winding down,I look for leadership from them to propel us into the playoffs ready to win! At least as far as I know, no Russell kid is putting out videos on youtube like the Raceland Marcus and Bubba videos. Derogatory towards women, language unacceptable in society,promoting drugs, etc. Interesting to see how Coach Maynard handles this...if at all. Maybe if it was a 2-3rd string player they would be kicked off or suspended. I bet we see him on the field when we play.

Once it is online, and there are other multiple videos, with long-neck beer bottles in the background, each video is worse than the first. Player or not,this shouldn't be permitted by Raceland for any student who represents the school and their values. This would go for all school systems. Unbelievable, but sad in any case. There is no way Coach Maynard or the Raceland staff has no knowledge of this. I have read people have flagged the videos as inappropriate and hopefully they will be taken down. Raceland personnel and the parents need to have a good long talk with this young man. What happens will show if Raceland does stand for values, but you can't let a cancer grow by doing nothing.
