Wow, I have to remember that I'm reading about Adair and not Trinity or Scott County. I have been in High School football for a long time. Played and Coached. But I would think if you are able to get a decent Guy to run the program and pay him less than what most assistants make in other schools, plus he will live there, then you should jump on it. Don't get me wrong I love Green River Lake but after that we all know there isn't much to attract a high level Coach to come to Adair. Seems like "Tradition" started about 4 years ago......

If all of the people that are currently in charge of the school and previously have been successful in running the football program are behind Stephens then he seems like a pretty good choice and everybody else should probably get behind him. The Indians are 19-5 since he has been on staff so he can’t be that stupid. I heard the hang up is some parents that don’t like him for whatever reason and some little league guy that won an in county 3rd and 4th grade championship with these kids that knows more ball then Lombardi.

Didn't want to not include Lex Cath but I was looking at what Coach Smith but together not what the KHSAA did. Lex Cath has been and will be the biggest game of the year!

last year Central Hardin 12-1 Bell 9-3 Danville 8-4 Anderson 9-4 Collins 4-7 (Young) What part of this isn't hard?

I just hope that someone in the schools above is able to have an off season weight program. If you only started in Jan then you have had about 8 weeks to be in the weight room. If those days are missed then the kids are behind and will not be able to catch up this year. Just hope the kids in all the schools that are taking their time hiring will have a change to be successful in the fall.

Kentucky 65 Georgia 54 Low score in GA. GA plays well 1st half. I even see GA leading at half time.

One of the biggest problems is that most of the "fans" of Mercer County still see Blue vs Red. ALL the students in the high school do not remember the two schools. But even on a post that is talking about hiring a new football coach for Mercer Central High people are talking about if that person has ties to Mercer or to Harrodsburg. They will not be become a good program until the "fans" let that go. For that reason and that reason only I feel they should hire someone with no ties to either school in any way.

Coach Peach is a great play caller, probably one of the best around! They do have great support and administration at Anderson. Pigskin you bring up a great point about Duane Hammons. He is a very strong defensive mind with alot of years of experience. You can't put a price on that! If memory serves correct he had the leading rush defense in 5A not to many years ago. A truly great assett to Anderson Co!!

Anderson just needs to keep doing what they have been doing. Mark Peach has done an amazing job rebuilding that program. Things are shaping up nicely for the bearcats with the new alignment and they have a chance to make a run at it all this year!!!
