Western beat Lexington Catholic at PRP in the preseason scrimmage. PRP and Western did not scrimmage each other.

As for the gate prices…every game I have gone to this year I have had to pay $10….at Doss, at Western, at Butler, at PRP. As I understand, the Metro Athletic Directors chose to raise prices this year. There are no children tickets….under 12 free. Schools can give discounts to students…$5 for students. At least that is what I have seen at JCPS schools….and possibly even DeSales (think I had to pay $10 there too).

Isn't University Heights a private school, although neither Catholic nor Christian. That would eliminate several of these years from the list.

6th region tournament is going to be wild....Desales barely gets out of District...two four point wins, Western advances by knocking out Butler; and Fern Creek is Runnerup to Bullitt East. Add in Beth Haven, Evangel, PRP and Bullitt Central...who knows who will come out.

Congratulations to Beth Haven and Evangel who have both earned their first trips to the 6th Region Tournament by advancing to their respective district tournaments. Evangel will face Bullitt Central while Beth Haven will face Pleasure Ridge Park.

With JCPS having "open enrollment" for its schools, there are no feeder high schools. Middle school students are not guaranteed to go to any high school except their resides area school.
