It was right as the Dawgs were watching there big lead in the 3rd disolve, there were some whistles that were questionable and Highlands had all the momentum. I think it was a motivation tool for his guys more than anything.

The lady ref. I know exactly what you are talking about, I thought he was going to get a "T". He was furious about a foul call on an apparent jump ball situation. I was glad to see it though. She is the same ref that T'd Arnold up once this year, and the same ref that T'd up Pittman for dunking in pre-game at Lloyd memorial tourny.

Possibly something to look forward to come tourny time, like last year with Eli. I think the best 5 Holmes can have on the floor however is: PG Riley SG Housley SF R. Johnson PF J. Johnson C Pittman You don't want Arnold and Pittman both picking up 2 quick ones starting together, then being in foul trouble all game. That could be disaterous.

He was in a little foul trouble and he is so valuble to the team that when that occurs he becomes very cautious, as does coach Henley by subing him in and out. Also as well as Pittman and Arnold played I wouldn't have taken the ball out of there hand either. Let the big boys play and get out of the way :lol:

We have to be careful counting our chickens before the eggs hatch, I didn't see Scott taking them to OT and losing by 1 either. With that aside though it will take a poor night by the dogs and an hot night by the opponets for it to happen. They are very very good.

I would love to see it but there are a few teams out there who have something to say about that ha ha ha. Highlands now has 4 regional losses, and they beat Boone, so three of those losses are unexplainable. Highlands has to play consistent in districts and regions, they have lacked consistancy this year but I would love to see a rematch to see who reps the 9th at Rupp.

About Rico, I think he know's he can get to the basket whenever he wants and at the line he is a good shooter. He can score whenever. I think when the times call for it he can take over any game, the question is will he. As far as Highlands, I couldn't agree more. When Holmes jumped up big in the third I was waiting for things to get ugly, but a couple key buckets, some balls bouncing there way, and things and the Birds were right back in the thing. That says alot about the character there coach has tought his players. Anyone gets down big in a game they SHOULD/ARE "SUPPOSED TO" lose the easy thing to do is lay down, the Birds didn't take the easy road tonight and that says alot about that program.

He will start getting more IMO after tonight. He showed he is a player, he just needs to keep his emotions in check. When he gets frustrated or gets his buttons pushed he becomes very chippy.

Him and his brother are probably the most coachable two on the team, and at times you can get them mixed up on the court because they both have that same demenor. They don't rush or force anything like other players at this level. Some teams that I have seen have a "star player" who tends to force things and Rico and JJ both let the game come to them.

I kept looking at you and little man and seen nobody was keeping score, I was worried about you hahaha.

Nice game by Pittman, 22 is pretty solid. I know Rico got in foul trouble but thought he was in double figures. Arnold did a bulk of his scoring in the second quarter where he looked unstoppable. Very balanced game by Highlands as well, 4 in double figures and 2 more with 7 is pretty solid.

Anyone got stats??? I am curious exactly what Pittman and Arnold finished with. They both played big tonight.

That is a stunner, honestly I was expecting HC to pull this one of. With a win vs Beechwood in districts Cov Cath can sneak into the regions, obviously neither one of these teams wanted to play Holmes in first round, but either can beat Beechwood on a good night, both of them played them well in the first meeting.

I never seen anyone get in 21's head. If he got frustated it was because of his mistakes, which weren't many. He is his own toughest critic and if he gets frustrated it is because he is frustrated with himself, and I didn't even see that.

I am sure they wanted a win. Oh well. Good game, it was a solid game on both ends but at the end of the day one team wins and one team loses.

I know ICN 6 was in the but wasn't looking for anyone really. Just seen Don Weber parking and talking to Ron Madrick lol. The dunk was sick though. He can fly. As far as jawing I seen at the very end Eli said something to the little guy from Highlands after a hard foul on Riley but 2 trips down the court after that he was shaking his hand and laughing with him. Not to much trash talking from my vantage point this evening. As far as the arnold incident I didn't see it, it could have been after any of the 4 or 5 big shots he hit in the 2nd quarter though, because he was lights out in the second. I didn't see anything though. Good game on both ends.

Holmes should win. I don't see anyone remaining on there schedule beating them, however this game starts the 3 game stretch where I think and upset is possible. I say Holmes by 15, keep an eye on the Boone game down the road though. This game is still to close to the Scott scare for Highlands to "stun" them.

I think you are going to see emotion the rest of the season against this Holmes team regardless who they play. After the Scott game everyone know's that they can beat them on the right night and I don't think anyone will back down from them. However there aren't to many of those nights.

Oh yea, that game was crazy. At one point in time in that game I was honestly worried for some of the guys safety. I knew one of those teams had to play again the next night and I didn't think either would be healthy enough to do it. hahaha
