One thing that gets me shaking my head when I read the mock draft scouting snipets - many of them say Sheppard lacks athleticism. He is a lot more athletic than they think.
It is decision time. First week of February. Everything up to now is finding strengths and weaknesses and getting to the best rotation. I expect Cal to work into his 8 man rotation from here on out.
Who is your rotation?
Who starts?
Who gets 10 minutes every game?
Who is on the bench with maybe, on the right night, 4 minutes?
Correct. Half the projected lottery picks are players I never heard of.

Also, Dillingham is a solid lottery pick. He is in the 6-12 range in every mock draft.
As others have posted above, I have seen a lot of NBA mock drafts and Reed Sheppard is #15 or higher in every one. I have seen him as high as 2, 4 and 5 in various mock drafts. It is rare to see a lottery pick pass on going into the draft. But Duke's Kyle Filipowski did it last year so it could happen.
If we are revisiting the foul or not and sharing examples, Xavier had a 3 point lead versus Villanova and did not foul. Played such good defense that Villanova didn't even get a shot off.
My rule would be up 3, with 6 seconds or less you foul.
I liked what Cal did the second half today with the lineup. Stuck with the five who started the second half for 7 minutes. Got them some rest and then finished the game with them over the last 4 minutes. They didn’t get it done the last 4.
I think it's over. The model has under achieved in the last few years - at UK and Duke. I don't think you can have 4 or 5 freshmen in your top 7 rotation no matter how good they are. The transfer portal has allowed teams to build experienced lineups. That is the problem at UK.
That was great play design by Cal but the timing was off. Ugo did not get out of the paint area fast enough and his defender made a very good play. If not for that, easy dunk for Theiro.
The next week of practices should be nothing but defending the pick and roll and box out your man. Maybe every practice the rest of the way.
