  1. Looks like what they've got in the back field is a load to bring down and def. hard to catch, but yes he will be a very nice addition and an even bigger force on D. Glad to see this team playing as a team.
  2. Keep on thinking that. That's the way we like it.
  3. As the Bobcats could have improved as well, like most teams do as the season goes on. Bell's gonna break out in this one 35-13:ylsuper:
  4. Marion was very impressive with there heart and never die attitude.
  5. Bell County was very flat in the first half but rallied in the second. Hilton had a very good game on defence and some really good runs. Ben Madon had a very good game and made some crucial throws to Cody Davenport. Fumbles and ludicrous penalties plagued the Cats but they showed good endurance to pull it out.
  6. I went down for an evening during camp and he looked very good. I think we are unmatched for RB talent. We have the depth in this area for sure. We were definately defeated by depth Friday night. Sports overtime commented on all the mountain teams were crampin. We just couldn't give our kids who go both ways enough rest. We get some of these new guys up to speed and learn all the plays and get some more grit in them our depth will greatly improve. Our close nit little community don't bring in the recruits like these big city schools. But we'll manage. We always have. :thumb:
  7. I agree. I'd love to see these two teams play again next year. Looks like Middlesboro gets that pleasure though.
  8. The real thing that made the difference was the depth. Bell gave them all they wanted the first half; but I will say this..unlike some of the people on these threads, Alcoa was a class act! Some of the kids as well as fans talked to some of the Alcoa players and parents after the game and it was a pleasure. One of the best on and off the field teams we've had on Log Mountain. Best of Luck to both teams this season.
  9. Winston Guy didn't even score against the Bobcats.
  10. I think you're right and if my memory serves me correct, it was a freshman, all the way on the other side of the field that ran him down and made the stop. Guy is an awesome athlete but sometimes "heart" makes the difference. Sorry to get off the thread. Back to BC and Alcoa.:ylsuper:
  11. Bell County vs Alcoa.........stick to the thread!
  12. Yes, but he didn't score. They may have on the next play but not on that one. Point?
  13. Surely putting the blame on the zebra's can wait til AFTER the game. It's a little early to start with that horse and pony show!! Bell's lost games on Log Mt. before and I'm sure the zebra situation is the same with every home team. Sounds like you're wishing a little to bad for the Bobcats to lose.
  14. Look under the blast from the past section on http://www.bellcountyfootball.com for a pic of the helments from '88. I don't think they have changed except for the paw prints on the back and the strip down the top.
  15. Hearing that on Log Mountain Monday that the Bobcats had a couple of kids that had 40's in the 4.4's during their PF testing and some monsters in the weight room!!!! Can't wait til the season starts! We might win a game after all this season!!
  16. They are struggling with their backs too. They are very slow and the linemen are very weak. I don't know what they'll do for receivers either this year.
  17. I also talked to a booster member today. They've got a dunk'in booth, and gonna have a bake sale/auction, fireworks, the national guard will have their rock climber, and of course some good grill'in goin on. They're also workin on some music for the event. Sounds like it's gettin bigger and better every year.
  18. The boosters have a web site started that might have any info you are looking for. http://www.bellcountyfootball.com
  19. Midnight Madness is scheduled for July 24th is what I've been told by Coach.:ylsuper:
