Just to be clear... I said Meeks reminded me of Wade WHEN he played against UK. I believe he will be an above average PRO but no one ever knows if he could turn out to be a top five or not. No one thought Wade would be a top five coming out of college.

IMO Meeks reminds me a lot of Dwayne Wade when he torched UK a few years back in the tourney. Meeks will be an above average Pro.. He can shoot, handle the ball, high basketball IQ, and most importantly for a Pro he can create his own shot. I hope I'm wrong but I think he is gone. Before the season I would say Patterson would be gone after this season but with the injuries and the rumor he could graduate after next year, I think he returns. Plus, although I'm probably wrong, it seems his stock has fallen a little because he is suddenly looked at as the number two player on this team. He may or may not be, but in the media eye, it seems this way. As for next years team, if they both return, I wouldn't mind seeing Meeks play some point guard, especially if Hood and Miller prove to be able to shoot.

Could you please add Cooper to the list. First year program had their first "parent and player" meeting last night. There were about 50-60 kids show up from 8th thru 12th grades. Coach Bieger says he will have Varsity and JV next year with about 16-17 kids on each team, depending on what he sees this week during tryouts. With almost zero Seniors it will probably be a rough season but he seemed very excited with the turnout and hopes to add Freshman ball next season. The field and facilities are very nice.

I would say 90% plus will go to Cooper. There are a few in the OakBrook subdivision that will go to Boone. I imagine a few to Ryle or Conner but I don't know of any off hand. The athletes that I was referring to I know are going to Cooper. Coach Sullivan was at the championship game, which was good to see the support. A few of these kids play baseball as well but I think their main sports are football and basketball.

On a side note Camp Ernst 8th graders (Cooper next year) won the NKAC championship over Tischner. They have a lot of size and skilled guards. This 8th grade class is very talented in football as well, but that's a different thread.:thumb:

As a ninth region fan I think the tenth should be played somewhere else as well. While I will attend the finals of the tenth and will enjoy seeing them, I think the games should be centrally located within the region as possible to accommodate the fans.

I would call Howard Ain (sp?)... or any of the investicative reporters at your local news station. A lot of times they are able to fix these things. I hope it all works out for you.
