  1. I have also heard that hundley has withdrawn his name from this job.
  2. Scott County just fouls a lot. They always have and always will its part of there agressive play.
  3. From the looks of it, it will take more than just passion!
  4. Ron....he is a politician...handshakes and conversations everywhere he goes. I will take South. South handled Andersons D they will handle Gallatin as well.
  5. I would have to agree the feeder system needs some improvements. Yes, that would take time, $, and support. I think better commitment of players in the off season to develop skills would improve the program with immediate results. Every time the school gets a class that is totally committed to basketball...that is when they tend to have their better years. Also on another note the booster president at Grant may put more hours in than any school booster I have ever seen. As for the extra assistant position this year, I don't beleive the boosters paid $3000 to get it. I believe the boosters helped with the elmentary program which was ran by the coaching staff to pay for that extra coaching position this year. Correct me if i am wrong?? The 4th (varsitiy assistant) coach in any program is very beneficial. IMO I think Grant not only needs to fill the head spot but add some more staff. Why not have a head freshman coach and a freshman assistant, Jv and assistant, and varsitity assistant. I know it may cost and people would make comments about boosters paying for a coaching position?
  6. Great Match up. Andersons D and Souths firepower. I will take South by a bucket in the final seconds
  7. Kieth would do a great job but i doubt he gets involved at that level or is he able to?? What do you think Freak91.
  8. I heard the same thing but how long the hiring process is will be up to the AD and more specifically the principal. She makes the final decesions about her school.
  9. Well said. The gurads in post season will be the difference for a lot of teams and SK has the advantage at guard play.
  10. Walton has the size advantage but that has never stop GC. I'll take GC +5
  11. You would think they would make that decision as soon as possible. Like...right after the state tournament?
  12. Played for Grant in high school. Coached 3 years middle school in Shelby. This is his 4th year as teacher and assistant coach at Grant. Works Hard at everything. I would say he has a small advantage in getting the job unless the school just wants an outsider. .
  13. Kinmon will always support the program. I just want to see the braves be successful. It will be a tough challenge but it can be done.
  14. I am amazed where some of you dig up some information. Summarized it looks like... Jon Jones? got it to good at the other GC Steve Simpson? got the shaft the last time he was at Grant  Tim Mefford? Wow! Billy Hicks? Your Crazy! Steve Wright? Wishful! Kevin Wright? Can't apply? :walk: Scott Hundley? good fit :thumb: Darrell Guffey? good fit, will not apply :thumb: Jason Hinson? Has some good experience Brandon Cox? long shot:idunno: Utter??? 10 win season, only 5 wins from utter after kinmon resigned at the end Dec. And I am sure this is just the begining of the list. :puke:
  15. WV had several opportunities to finally beat SK but it was a Good Game. Good luck to both teams in the 8th.
  16. Congrats to Coach Grooms and his Laday Stangs. Good Luck in Regionals!:thumb:
  17. I don't think its a big deal to charge more for regional tournament games but I say let students in for a buck or even free during the regular season. I too am amazed that varsity cheerleaders no longer cheer at games....thats just sad....
